The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration! This session is open forum to share your current projectsโ€”whether complete or in progress, itโ€™s all interesting! Whether youโ€™re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, youโ€™ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** Youโ€™re absolutely welcome. If youโ€™re a beginner and want to experiment, Iโ€™ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things outโ€”whether thatโ€™s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience requiredโ€”just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, weโ€™ll be using public library facilities based on availability. Columbus Ski Club Happy Hour on third Wednesday
Please join us the 3rd Wednesday of each month to learn more about the Columbus Ski Club and what we have to offer. Pizza, wings and a variety of appetizers provided. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1958 with over 800 members. The club has grown beyond the single mission of providing members with not only quality skiing events but also year round social and sport activities. Our gatherings are an opportunity for members and non-members to interact and learn about the many activities offered such as euchre, billiards, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, bowling, golf & softball leagues along with ski and non-ski trips. Our members also plan group activities such as visits to wine tastings, bike trips, comedy clubs, concerts, plays and local sports games, etc. CSC membership is not required to belong to the Meetup group. Membership is required in order to participate in most club activities (CSC member). However, anyone (21 and over) is welcome at our meeting gatherings which consist of checking out our current activities and socializing. The annual dues for club membership are $35 with the membership year from September 1st โ€“ August 31st.
