Have you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk and socialise at the same time but for Charity? If so, this may be the right walk for you. Welcome to the first CHARITY WALK event where you have the opportunity to not only explore the scenic routes I may create but also partake in this for charity. 

With this particular walk, it is in association with ‘The Cinnamon Trust’ charity organisation that specialises in aiding the terminally ill & elderly as well as their pets by offering their support and ensuring both parties don’t feel the sorrow from departing from one another. The walk is a long one where it starts from Greenwich and finishes at Battersea. At the same time, we’ll be passing through certain points of interests and many other beautiful parks. NEAREST STATION - Cuttysark for maritime Greenwich station REQUIREMENTS - Just your good behaviour is all and whatever is listed above for the walk. Maybe bring your ID if we do an aftermath. PRECAUTIONS - This is quite a long walk so do be sure if you want to partake in the walk.

 Disclaimers: Please be on your best behaviour and respect one another. This group doesn’t tolerate any misbehaviour and misconduct. Should such a thing take place, you will be removed. If you ask a question that either already has the answer to it or doesn’t relate to the event at all, I won’t respond. Whenever an event takes place, I will cut off contact 30 minutes after the event commences. If you message even 1 minute after the cut off time, I won’t be available as I’m conducting the event. Five candidates have accepted the invitation to take part on the panel of the hustings organised by East London Humanists in the run up to the 7 May council elections: * Jo Blackman (Labour) * David Davies (Reform) * Mark Gitsham (Liberal Democrats) * Kabir Ali (Green) * Paul Canal (Conservative) While all participating candidates are from the Wanstead area, the event is a microcosm of the unprecedented five way contest unfolding across London. It should be hugely interesting whether or not you are local. East London Humanists is proud to have organised a similar hustings at each national and local election since 2019. They have been widely regarded as fair, interesting and beneficial to the community. The environment covers many issues of concern to local residents, from potholes, parking and planning to nature and the climate. The day will start out with us walking over quiet fields, pastures, woodlands as we head our way to the Wessex Downs to climb Inkpen Hill. Views from here are dramatic as we will be able to see north towards Oxford and south towards the South Downs. We continue to Walbury Hill, the highest chalk hill in Berkshire and south east England at a 'great' 297m. We will then drop down to head towards Inkpen Common Nature Reserve & Heathland, then onwards to Hamstead Park and the Kennet and Avon Canal as we circle back to Kintbury for a pretty canal side pub. We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events.
