Join us at Canalside Activity Centre in Ladbroke Grove for a unique on-the-water experience, paddling through some of London’s most scenic canals. Whether you choose a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard, this is your chance to get active while meeting people in a relaxed, social setting. You’ll start in a private basin the perfect space to learn the basics and build confidence before heading out onto the Grand Union Canal, paddling towards Little Venice or Old Oak. ### **What’s included:**– 2-hour guided session (kayak, canoe, or paddleboard)– Expert instructors to support you throughout– Access to showers, changing facilities, and on-site amenities With a small group, the session is designed to make it easy to connect. Golders Queens is a newly established LGBTQ+ choir meeting weekly at Golders Green Unitarians, offering a supportive and joyful space to explore singing in community. Distance is **18–25 miles**, depending on where we turn around and whether we add a side loop. Pace is around **12 mph**, but this is a fun, no‑drop ride — we can slow down as needed. We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot. This is the 50th Anniversary of the Judgment of Paris. Significantly, in 1976, California wines unexpectedly outperformed French wines in a blind tasting with nine French judges, challenging the perception that only French wines were of the highest quality.
