👉 **RSVP now!** Die Plätze sind begrenzt, also melde dich bitte an.

Codex Community Build Meetup
Codex Community Build Meetup
Hello everyone! We're excited to announce **Vienna's first official** **Codex Community Build Meetup**, co-hosted with **Vienna AI Engineering** on Saturday, June 20! It's a full-day, hands-on event for learning to build with Codex (OpenAI's coding agent) and with AI agents in general. This isn't a lecture: bring your laptop, pick the track that fits your level, and spend the day building alongside mentors and Codex experts. Come with an idea or just show up ready to learn. The goal is to leave with something you made, a clearer sense of how AI agents fit into real software work, and new people in Vienna's builder community. Whether you're already using Codex or simply curious about coding agents, this is your chance to connect with peers and see how AI is transforming the way we build software. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚠️ IMPORTANT: [Register on Luma](https://luma.com/9dmqcdn0), not here! To avoid double-bookings, RSVPs on Meetup are limited to the Organizer Team only. The 170 spots are all on Luma, and that's the only place to sign up. 👉 Register here: [https://luma.com/9dmqcdn0](https://luma.com/9dmqcdn0) Check-in at the door uses the Luma guest list, so please make sure you're registered there. When you register, you'll pick the track that fits you best: 🟢 AI Beginner: a guided path from first setup to a small working project 🟡 AI Intermediate: practical Codex workflows for prototyping, testing, and shipping faster 🔴 AI Advanced: bring your own project and push a more ambitious build Each group has a suggested track and mentors on hand throughout the day. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💡 Why Luma? Some of our partners, like OpenAI, use Luma to coordinate events worldwide, so we use it for branded events like this one. To hear about future events first, subscribe to our Luma calendar: [https://luma.com/vienna-ai-engineering](https://luma.com/vienna-ai-engineering) 📍 Venue WU Wien, Library & Learning Center (LC) Welthandelspl. 1, 1020 Wien 🗓️ Schedule 09:30 - Coffee & networking 10:00 - Kickoff, Codex intro & mentor introductions 10:30 - Build session 1 12:00 - Lunch 12:30 - Build session 2 15:00 - Project presentations 16:00 - Networking 17:30 - Close 🎒 What to bring Just your laptop and charger. Portrait Photography Workshop with a model
Portrait Photography Workshop with a model
This time we’ll meet in Stadtpark for a portrait session / workshop, with plenty of time to experiment and work in different light situations. It’s a great opportunity to practise working with natural light outdoors, work with a model, and also get a few portraits for yourself. We’ll start with simpler portrait setups and then move into more creative and experimental directions as we go. Each person will have time to photograph the model but can also practice on the side, try different approaches, and also jump in for quick portraits in between. The idea is that we rotate setups a few times and explore how light, background, and small changes in direction affect the image. We’ll have a model with us throughout the session. Donation fee: 5€ Feel free to bring snacks and drinks — it’s a relaxed, open session. **Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** *Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code* Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options. **YouTube Link** TBD

If none, that's cool too. Round 3: * Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool. After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized! Feel free to work alone, pair up, attend one of our workshops/presentations, or mingle!
