Welcome back to the **dbt meetup Athens**--our second event and first for 2026. We’re excited to kick off the year with another community gathering, hosted once again at the **Kaizen Campus**. After our first meetup, where the organizers introduced themselves and shared how dbt is used across their companies, we’re switching perspectives. This time, we’re thrilled to welcome **Cormac Buckley (Senior Customer Solutions Architect)** and **Peter Jehl (Solution Architect)** from **dbt Labs** for a session we’ve been eagerly anticipating ourselves. Cormac and Peter will dive into **MCP Servers with dbt** and the **dbt Fusion engine**—but that’s not where it ends. The second half of the event will be a live **Ask Me Anything** session, giving the Greek dbt community a rare chance to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and get insights directly from the experts. Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 11:00 - quick intros. 11:15 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 12:15 - (the end) chat / take off / keep writing / socialising. Writing is very solitary. **Title**: Powering AI Through Data Modernization: Modernizing ETL with Databricks & Unity Catalog In this session, we will discuss how enterprises are modernizing their data platforms by migrating from legacy ETL tools (such as Informatica and traditional data warehouses) to Databricks Lakehouse architecture, and how Unity Catalog enables enterprise-grade governance, security, and discoverability across data and AI assets. Join the Arlington Jaycees in helping the Washington Urban Debate League judge the Adam J. Rubinson Memorial Debate Tournament at Deloitte's Rosslyn office! This is an annual debate tournament for 400+ middle and high school students. The Washington Urban Debate League is seeking judges for the debate rounds. No prior debate experience is required.
