This meditation is used for Wesak and other full moon meditations.
Just as Lord Jesus taught the masses through parables, yet revealed the deeper “keys to the kingdom of heaven” exclusively to His apostles, so too did Lord Buddha impart the profound inner dimensions of the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path only to His closest disciples — truths that were never meant for the surface, but for those ready to go within.
It is through an unbroken lineage of direct transmission — flowing from the Great Guru Padmasambhava, revered across the Buddhist world as the Second Buddha, that Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui brings these sacred esoteric principles and techniques to the modern seeker. These are not merely philosophical teachings. They are living tools of inner transformation that empower us to dissolve emotional and mental obstacles, navigate and heal challenging relationships, and awaken to a state of genuine inner bliss, even while walking the journey of everyday physical life.
Utilise the Eight Sacred Paths to systematically put your life in Divine Order...
In this course, Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui brings clarity and depth to the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path — illuminating these timeless teachings across the different levels and facets of truth as interpreted by the Major Schools of Buddhism. This exploration addresses right to the heart of the human condition: the Four Major Causes of Suffering, and placing the practical solutions directly into your hands.
What makes this teaching truly transformative is its emphasis on lived application. The Eight Sacred Paths are not presented as abstract ideals, but as a precise and systematic roadmap — a step-by-step framework for bringing every area of your life into Divine Order, so that wisdom is not merely understood, but embodied, walked, and breathed into daily reality.
**By attending this information-packed course, you will learn:**
* **Secrets of the Three Jewels** in Buddhism to complete your Spiritual Path.
* **Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Paths** \- Learn the Four Major Causes of suffering and the Practical Solutions\.
* Deeper Understanding on **"Illumination" and Higher "Vipassana"**:
1) Insights about your True Self ,
2) Awareness,
3) Psychological Catharsis/ Cleansing
* How to cultivate the **Buddha Nature, Higher Buddha and Adi Buddha Natures**
* Learn to practice **Spiritual Detachment** \- GrandMaster Choa teaches that life is a series of attachment and de\-attachment \- a skill that allows one to practice high spirituality\, compassion towards all\, yet not be pulled\-in to peoples' emotional and social chaos\.
... And much, much more..
This is One of the Best Ways to Prepare for the Coming Wesak Festival in May!

The Book of Fate by Parinoush Saniee
In April, we are timely compelled to read **The Book of Fate** by Parinoush Saniee.
* From Banned Book to International Bestseller
* Winner of the 2010 Boccaccio Prize for Best International Book
Spanning 50 years of Iranian history, from before the 1979 revolution, through the Islamic Republic and up to the present, *The Book of Fate* is a powerful story of friendship and passion, fear and hope - and a rare insider's view of Iranian society.
.
.
.
A teenager in pre-revolutionary Tehran, Massoumeh is an ordinary girl, passionate about learning. On her way to school she meets a local man and falls in love - but when her family discover his letters they accuse her of bringing them into dishonour. She is badly beaten by her brother, and her parents hastily arrange a marriage to a man she's never met. Facing a life without love, and the prospect of no education, Massoumeh is distraught - but a female neighbour urges her to comply: 'We each have a destiny, and you can't fight yours.'
The years that follow Massoumeh's wedding prove transformative for Iran. Hamid, Massoumeh's husband, is a political dissident and a threat to the Shah's oppressive regime and when the secret service arrive to arrest him, it is the start of a terrifying period for Massoumeh. Her fate, so long dictated by family loyalty and tradition, is now tied to the changing fortunes of her country...

**About the Instructor – Hwee Hwee**
Hwee is a yoga instructor who hurt her wrist, dampening her asana practice and just could not recover it 100% with physiotherapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. A calling drawn her to **Reiki healing** and her recovery progressed so much more! Hwee is an advanced Reiki Level 3 practitioner.
With yoga, Hwee fell in love with the **low impact** workout (which was gentle for her teenage injured lower back). Wanting to know yoga beyond the physical aspects (asanas), she went to one of the oldest yoga school in world, G.S. College of Yoga and Cultural Synthesis, Kaivalydham in Lonavla, Pune, India in 2017 and attained her Hatha Yoga teaching certifications from both Kaivalydham and Quality Council of India (QCI) by Indian Yoga Association.
Hwee is also into meditation since 2013 and with Hatha Yoga now, the practice between asana (physical exercise) and meditation has integrated into one.

**For ages 8 and above.**
These 3 traditional martial art forms will be taught during the 2 hour class:
* Kalaripayattu
* Silambattam
* Adimurai
**About Kalaripayattu**
Thought to be one of the most ancient martial arts in recorded history, Kalaripayattu is derived from two words, “Kalari” signifying battlefield or arena and “payattu” which translates to the words ‘practice’ and ‘exercise’.
**About Silambattam**
Hailing from the region of Tamil Nadu (India) where it emerged around 1000 BCE, Silamabattam is a popular variant of weapon-based martial arts which is performed with the aid of specific weapons, primarily Rattan staffs, short sticks, deer horns and swords.
**About Adimurai**
Adimurai is a generic term applied for the indigenous martial arts of the Indian/Tamilian archipelago. Adimurai in general refers to the sport of using techniques derived from Indian and Tamil martial-arts. It uses kicks and boxing-mannered punches to defeat an opponent in ways that are analogous to standard present-day boxing. The manipulation of joints as well as certain locking techniques also form the basis of Adimurai.

Bad Girls Book Club April 2026
**Our April novel is: *The Hong Kong Widow* by Kristen Loesch**
**This month’s novel blends gothic atmosphere with historical fiction and chilling horror, set against the haunting backdrop of China. The book is 368 pages in print and 10 hours and 42 minutes on audiobook.**
In 1950s Hong Kong, Mei is a young refugee of the Chinese Communist revolution struggling to put her past in Shanghai behind her. When she receives a shocking invitation—to take part in a competition in one of the city's most notorious haunted houses, pitting six spirit mediums against one another in a series of six séances over six nights, until a single winner emerges—she has every reason to refuse.
Except that the hostess, a former Shanghainese silent film star, is none other than the wife of the man who once destroyed Mei’s entire life.
It is promised the winner will receive a fortune, but there is only one prize Mei wants: revenge.
Decades later, the final night of that competition has become an infamous urban legend: The police were called to the scene of a brutal massacre but found no evidence, dismissing it as a collective hallucination. Mei knows what she saw, but now someone else is convinced they know what she did. She must uncover the truth about the last night she ever spent in that house—even if the ghosts of her past are waiting for her there. . . .

Book Bedazzling (BYOB) - Bloodguard by Cecy Robson
Let's bedazzle some books while we discuss our April pick: Bloodguard by Cecy Robson!
Book description:
One hundred years. Tens of thousands of gladiators. And today, only one will rise…
Everything in the Kingdom of Arrow is a lie.
Leith of Grey thought coming to this new land and volunteering to fight in the gladiator arena—vicious, bloodthirsty tournaments where only the strongest survive—would earn him enough gold to save his dying sister. He thought there was nothing left to lose.
He was wrong—and they took everything. His hope. His freedom. His very humanity.
All Leith has left is his battle-scarred body, fueled by rage and hardened from years of fighting for the right to live another day.
Then Leith meets Maeve, an elven royal who is everything he despises. Everything he should hate. Until the alluring princess offers him the one thing he needs most: a chance to win the coveted title of Bloodguard—and his freedom.
But in a kingdom built on secrets and lies, hope doesn’t come cheap.
Nor will his ultimate revenge…

Please bring your own book, journal, bookmarks, etc to bedazzle. If you have bedazzling supplies, please bring them as well. I will supply gems, glue, and picker tools, but if you have certain colors in mind, you may want to bring your own.
