[CHALLENGE WALK] ONE
Hello everyone!
This is a challenge walk where it is more than our usual walks of 15km and only open to people that has joined us at least thrice!
The plan will only be revealed in the whatsapp group chat!
The route may be modified during the walk to better suit the group’s pace and fitness levels. The organizers will make adjustments as needed to ensure the walk remains enjoyable and manageable for all
participants.
Do drop me a message via whatsapp or via meetup if you will be late.
You may consider the following:
1\. Comfortable Clothing
• Moisture-wicking fabrics: Avoid cotton, as it traps moisture and causes chafing. Instead, choose clothing made from materials like polyester, nylon, or merino wool, which keep you dry.
• Comfortable socks: Opt for moisture-wicking socks with cushioning to reduce the risk of blisters.
2\. Proper Footwear
• Well-fitting shoes: Ensure your shoes are properly broken in and provide enough support, especially if you're walking long distances. Sturdy hiking or walking shoes with good arch support are ideal.
• Blister prevention: Consider blister-resistant socks or pack blister pads to address any discomfort before it becomes a problem.
3\. Hydration
• Water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the walk to maintain energy levels and prevent dehydration.
4\. Snacks
• Energy bars or trail mix: Portable, nutrient-packed snacks high in carbohydrates and protein—perfect for refueling during breaks.
• Nuts or dried fruit: Easy to carry and great for providing long-lasting energy.
5\. Umbrella
• Umbrella: Bring one in case of rain to stay dry and comfortable.
6\. Optional Gear
• Tissues or wet wipes: Handy for personal hygiene or cleaning your hands after eating or drinking.
7\. Small Backpack or Waist Pack
• Use a small, comfortable bag to carry your essentials. Ensure it fits snugly and doesn’t rub or chafe over time.

Kapap Combatives Group Class (Adults & Teens, All Levels)
**For ages 13 and above.**
This class is designed to train those who wish to be able to able to defend themselves as a modern day warrior. The class is exciting and brutally effective. Practitioners will learn how to fight seamlessly from stand up to the ground, using a mix of street style striking and kicking, takedowns, to ground grappling, even against a knife being drawn while on the ground. Whether it be one attacker or multiple attackers, participants will learn how to use relative positioning and the environment to defend and create the opportunity to escape. What if your attacker was to draw a knife or worst, a machete? You will learn to use street style weapons like knife, machete or stick to defend yourself, or improvised weapons like bags, chairs, umbrellas, bottles, hammers etc.
No pre-requisites needed but generally an interest in martial arts.
The classes consist of currently 7 topical series:
* Striking/Kicking Series
* Gun Disarming Series
* Ground Defence Series
* Takedown Series
* Knife Series
* Control and Restraint Series
* Tomahawk/Machete Series

There will be an official host will facilitate the game to ensure safety and rotate teams if applicable.

\- Teams will be formed and play will begin\. Normal rules apply\.
\- Where there are more than 2 teams\, a series of rotating
games lasting 7 minutes will be played.

Intense Self-Defence Group Class (All Ages, All Levels)
**For ages 10 and above.**
Get fit (strength and conditioning) while learning the valuable skills of self defense. The training will be fun but intense and the methods are designed to prepare you for practical street encounters, and to help you get out of threatening situations quickly with little or minimal injury should the need arise.
The areas that these classes will cover will span into the following parts. They are:
1. Striking techniques
2. Basic grappling and ground defense
3. Escapes techniques (e.g. body, hand grabs, head locks, and chokes)
4. Joint locking and restraining techniques.
5. Pad work drills.
There will be light sparring and simulations drills.
Risks, situational awareness and self defense fundamentals are also designed in the syllabus and will be covered accordingly.

Krav Maga Group Class (Adults & Teens, All Levels)
**For ages 13 and above.**
IKMF Krav Maga training helps you defend yourself effectively on the streets.
Below are just some of the reasons why Krav Maga classes at IKMF Singapore will benefit you.
1\. There are no rules in street attacks\, so imagine what we will do to the attacker\.
2\. No one wants to get in a fight\, so prevention & de\-escalation will be taught too\.
3\. You're lucky if there's just 1 attacker out in the streets\. To better prepare yourself\, we train with the mindset of potentially facing multiple attackers\.

Virtual Skating Weekly Challenge!
Hi Everyone,
With Covid19 happening, there is still a limited participants for group events of up to 8 pax happening, so this just to keep the virtual skating together going.
The Challenge is to skate as much as you can during this pandemic each week. And see how we rank on leaderboard of Strava. The ranking is arranged by most distances skated each week.

This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance".
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.

March Madness Wine Bracket / House Wine / Multiple Weeks
A fun way to compare wines from two different countries at a time. House Wine is squaring off two countries' wines against each other each Thursday in March. March 12, March 19, March 26, and the Finals April 2nd.
Meet and Greet format....show up after 7pm, pay your $15 at the cash register, get your wine glass, and enjoy. I will get a table reserved for the group.
Remember, you may bring in your own food or takeout.
