Congratulations to our Claddagh Club members who excelled with medals in the Area Public Speaking Competitions in Ghent with two gold and one silver . The days are getting longer, work loads with all their challenges highlight the need for greater leadership and communication skills. Leadership Skills and Public Speaking acquired in Claddagh. Toastmasters was founded in 1924 year in California. Toastmaster's founder, Ralph Smedley wrote in 1955, ''while most of us have entered Toastmasters to learn to make speeches, that benefit is the beginning of the good which may come to us ,and the good that we do for mankind''.
