Rethinking Work: Starting the discussion
Work is evolving.
But are our organizations evolving with it?
This event is the starting point of a series of interactive sessions exploring how work, management, and culture are changing, and what that means in practice.
**Join us to explore:**
* Emerging workplace trends
* Different perspectives on leadership and work culture
* Real-life experiences, challenges, and experiments
***
**What to expect**
* Interactive discussions (not lectures)
* A structured debate on key workplace trends
* Practical examples from organizations experimenting with new ways of working
* Small group conversations to exchange perspectives
***
**What youโll leave with**
* New perspectives on the future of work
* Concrete ideas to reflect on or try in your own context
* Connections with people exploring similar questions
***
This session is inspired by insights from Corporate Rebels and other practitioners, but itโs not about promoting one single model.
Instead, we aim to create a space for open, constructive discussion on what actually works, what doesnโt, and what might come next.

Practical Philosophy Meetup - Copenhagen ๐ฉ๐ฐ
**๐๏ธ WHAT'S PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY ABOUT?**
Practical Philosophy is a weekly meet-up that brings critical thinkers together for an opportunity to dive deep on a topic, practice communicating, and building a community. All with no โofficialโ philosophy knowledge required! ๐
Practical Philosophy is based on the idea that philosophy should be accessible to all, and not something reserved only for academics. Each week we choose a topic, and the goal is to use the conversation to develop our critical thinking and communication as we explore that topic.
The goal is to help develop our Critical Thinking, Communication, and Community ๐
**๐ HOW DOES IT WORK?**
Each week, we pick one topic and discuss it. The topic for the week is shared, generally in the [Whatsapp group](https://chat.whatsapp.com/CRqdyO6p6lZDIN2qVRIlWX), along with jump-off points to get the conversation going.
When groups get bigger than 7-8 people, itโs important that we break into smaller groups. This way we are able to maintain a conversational flow as opposed to having our meetups feel like a discourse or lecture.
**General Meeting Agenda**
Each Practical Philosophy meet-up follows this general timeline:
* 19:00-19:15 - People arrive and chat, get to know each other before the โofficial' start.
* 19:15-19:25 - Meeting introduction, explanation of Practical Philosophy and the topic for the week, read the guidelines and the overview so attendees know what to expect in terms of timelines.
* 19:25-20:45 - Break into small groups - introduce yourselves and general thoughts on the topic, open discussion afterwards. At this point the group can review the โjump-offโ questions as needed, but they are just there to help guide the conversation. Itโs not obligatory to answer them.
* 20:45-21:00 - Bring everyone back together to discuss conclusions of the topic - each group gives a short 1-minute summary. Organizer concludes the meeting and everyone takes a group photo.
* 21:00 - The official meeting is over but itโs a great opportunity to get to know people in a non-structured environment, so we often stick around, chat, and get to know each other.
**๐งงPRICING?**
Practical Philosophy Club is FREE to attend! We just ask that if we are meeting in a cafรฉ, buy a beverage! Some chapters rent a space for us to meet, and they may ask for donations to help contribute to the cost of rent. Donations will always be 100% voluntary though!
**๐ WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY**
๐ฃ โI feel like Philosophy Club helps someone build their own belief system through a series of perspectives while not promoting whatโs right and wrongโ - Ekam
๐ฃ โI got hooked from day 1 (the topic was authority) and felt it was the right place for me. I feel it is a place where people can go to learn and discuss new perspectives and increase critical thinking and community by interacting with people who might challenge your point of views but at the same time encourage you to have openness and mind flexibility.โ - Daniel
**๐ค FAQ**
* โWhat will we talk about? What's the topic?
โThe topic for the week is shared every Sunday in the Whatsapp group. We try to add the topic to the comment section on this event page as well but if you donโt see it, the topic and the jump-off points will be in our [Whatsapp](https://chat.whatsapp.com/CRqdyO6p6lZDIN2qVRIlWX).
* Do I need to study or read anything to attend?
No preparation is necessary. This isnโt a study of other thinkers. We want to know what YOU think about the topic, not what an old philosopher thought. If you have a perspective from a religion or a school of thought to share, throw it on the table and weโll discuss it, but it's not required.
* Is there a specific philosophy that Practical Philosophy is focused on?
The goal of our meet-ups is to not have dogmatic discussions, and flex our critical thinking muscles. Because of this, we want to hear from every realm of thought, and don't study a particular school.
* Is it mostly men that attend?
Surprisingly, no! Although philosophy is seen as a Candelabra affair in a dark room with a bunch of guys, our Practical Philosophy meetups are generally 50/50 between genders, and we donโt meet in any dark rooms.
* Can I come alone?
Of course you can, we encourage it :)
* Can I be late?
Please don't be! We do have a 15 minute grace period where we allow people to funnel in while we hang out, but after that if you arrive too late, it disrupts the flow of the conversation.
* Where do you meet?
The location is posted in Meetup and our [Whatsapp](https://chat.whatsapp.com/CRqdyO6p6lZDIN2qVRIlWX) group for this location. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you join the Whatsapp group! If you want to know what other cities have a Practical Philosophy Club, you can see our chapters on our [website](https://www.practicalphilosophy.club/practical-philosophy-locations/).
๐ค**POLICY**
To respect our members privacy, we ask that no one privately message a member without first getting explicit consent. (This looks like speaking in person and being asked to message privately.) Contacting or texting other participants without prior consent is not permitted and may result in removal from the group. Practical Philosophy reserves the right to enforce this policy at its discretion to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
**PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY - Making Philosophy Available To All. โจ**

Workshop Masterclass - โStop Talking. Start Writing: From Anecdote to Arcโ
Why do some stories stay with us, while others fall flat?
Often, it is because we tell them from the outside in. We describe what happened, but lose the deeper transformation that makes people care.
On Wednesday, June 10, at 18:00, we are hosting an interactive storytelling workshop at Kulturstationen Vanlรธse with Andreas Mรธgelhรธj, Ph.D.
Andreas has strong contest experience in both Evaluation and Table Topics, including repeated District Champion!
In this 2-hour, hands-on workshop, we will move beyond storytelling theory and actively build the narrative spine of our own stories.
You will work on:
โจ Finding your โPlot Bโ โ the inner journey behind the outer events
โจ Identifying your โ5-second momentโ โ the exact point of change
โจ Extracting โthe giftโ โ the message your audience will remember
โจ Turning a rough idea into a story arc through fast writing sprints
Important for everyone attending:
๐ Please come prepared with a story you want to work on.
It does not need to be polished. It can be a rough idea, a personal experience, a draft speech, or a project you want to improve. The key is that you bring something specific, because we will be working directly on your own stories throughout the workshop.
The goal is simple: that everyone leaves with a solid foundation for delivering a powerful โstory speechโ in the future.
Bring your laptop, bring your story, and come ready to write.
The world doesnโt care if you fail. It cares if you change.
๐ Stop talking. Start writing. Show up. Bring your Story.

Green Paddling ๐ฃ๐ปโโ๏ธ June edition
**READ THROUGH BEFORE SIGNING-UP (and ensure you check your meet-up chat regularly :-) )**
Can't think about a better way to wrap up the week then kayaking around the city channels.
GreenKayak, a NGO dedicated to raise awareness to ocean pollution, makes few (open) kayaks available across the city to paddle and help collecting waste floating in the water.
Open kayaks are typically easier to manovre than other types, and do not require EPP2/EPP3 patents.
I booked 2 double kayaks for 4 ppl in total.
It is possible to use the facilities at Kayak Republic free of charge: restrooms, lockers and showers.
**REQUIREMENT**
\- Safety first \- Need to be able to swim comfortably
\- Waterproof gear preferable
\- Sun lotion and sunglasses
\- Change of clothes in case yours get a bit wet during paddling
\- Towel\, if you want to shower or just in case
**COST**
Unfortunately, due to the frequent last minute cancellation last summer, it was challenging backfilling participants with short or no notice, and it was very disrespectful to the group and GreenKayak NGO.
**To reserve your spot, please transfer 150 kr. to my mobilepay 25717293**. The amount will be returned to you if you show up on time, or the event is cancelled for other reasons; **this remains a free non-profit event**.
The kayak rental is free of charge provided that:
\- we are able to pick\-up some waste during our paddling activity
\- we share our experience on the So\.Me \#GreenKayak
**AGENDA**
16:50- Meet up - please be on time ๐
16:50-17:00 Briefing and getting ready
17-00-18:45 Paddling around Copenhagen channels and return to the start point
18:45-19:00 Return the equipment to Kayak Republic

Ideation - Mind over Machine
**Regenerative software may just be the most purposeful rabbit hole you could dive into RIGHT NOW and we want to explore it together.**
**โ Where do we see potential for regenerative software?**
"Mind over Machine", the new Think-tank and Laboratory for regenerative software is now formally established, and we will run a first round of ideation with the community.
**The purpose is simple**: Generate ideas that can form the foundation of the first projects to run in the laboratory: A survey, an Open Source tool, an article, a podcast, a tutorial, a model ...anything goes really!
Maybe you are a student and need a purposeful topic to base your master-thesis or internship on. Or maybe you just dream of joining forces with others around ideas you have, that would make the world a better place - **this is it!**
**Mind Over Machine**
**We will collectively generate, challenge and shape the initial ideas that could define MoM. Expect slightly half-baked thoughts and enthusiastic disagreement.**
Join our Open Space style meeting for generation of initial ideas. The program will play out roughly as follows:
* Brainstorm ideas, record them in an online backlog
* From stage, briefly pitch each idea in the backlog
* Upvote the ones that you believe in and would like to contribute to
* Similar to Open Space Discussions, we will organize in parallel groups in short time slots and each group will discuss and record project details and perspectives to the ideas
* If possible we will organize in work groups around the most vivid ideas and launch projects.
**Prior to the event (optional):**
You are welcome to take a jump start and present some of your ideas, even prior to the event. The following is a short description on the infrastructure and process we will use.
1. Create an [account on GitHub](https://github.com/signup) if you haven't already.
2. We will be working in the [GitHub Discussions (Ideas category)](https://github.com/orgs/mindovermachine-dev/discussions/categories/ideas) in our @mindovermachine-dev organization.
3. You will see that there are already a few ideas drafted out.
4. CONTINUE! Add your own ideas. If someone else already wrote an idea you like, vote it up, comment on it, supplement it with your own perspective.
5. Consider reading the [Guideline for suggesting ideas](https://github.com/orgs/mindovermachine-dev/discussions/3) first
**See you there ๐ฑ**

Human AI Circle "Into the Unknown"
โ**Preparing people for a change that has no finish line.**
โMost organisations today have a plan for implementing AI. Far fewer have a plan for supporting the people navigating it. The uncertainty is real. The fear of becoming irrelevant. The sense of loss for how work used to feel. The paralysis of not knowing what comes next. Unlike previous transformations, this shift has no clear end state โ no โfreeze phase,โ no finish line. Traditional change management frameworks were not designed for continuous, evolving disruption.
โThis first **Human AI Circle** gathering at BLOXHUB creates space for a more honest conversation. It brings together change leaders, HR professionals, and AI implementation leads to explore what truly helps people move through uncertainty.
Meet the panel:
* **Sofie Henriksen**, Director, Head of AI Adoption, Todai: Guiding organisations through AI adoption, where it works and where it falls apart
* **Ioanna Constantiou**, Professor, CBS: Researching why uncertainty, resistance and misalignment in AI transformation are not edge cases, but the norm
* **Elena Constantini**, transformational COO, former Group SVP at the Adecco Group: 20 years leading large-scale transformations with commercial in discipline but human by design
**What's on the agenda:**
\- What earlier work transformations teach us about leading people through the unknown and where those models break down with AI
\- Panel: Managing fear\, grief and paralysis in the age of AI\, learnings from real change initiatives
\- Simulation with **Sara Hรธyer Kragelund** from Involved: Walk through how your way of working will change as AI evolves from tool to agent to operating system and leave with a personal backpack of mindsets and approaches to navigate what's coming
Food included. Limited seats, attendance is by application.
