Seniors with 60+ years of life experience who are community leaders, intellectuals, artists, storytellers, and want to share their experience over dinners for a small group each time. Every Wednesday there is dinner hosted by a different Silver (senior host) who will open their front door, welcome a group of 5-8 curious people into their home (all ages), and share their stories, knowledge, and connections across the table over a themed evening. Each host chooses their own theme and it is the aim to pass on their hard-earned knowledge. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- This week the host is: Jacqui! Jacqui has spent her life studying one thing: how to make people change. For more than 30 years she worked across the world to change behaviour around health, equality, and social norms: with communities and governments across Africa, Asia, and Europe. She now lives in an old iconic Christianshavn house — the one that gave Lagkagehuset its name! — where she opens her home for this Silvers Dinner. Over a homemade meal, Jacqui will share stories from inside social change: how to change the world and why changing ourselves is often harder than changing the world. An evening of good food, sharp insight, and honest conversation, and new people!

This week the host is: Birgitte! Birgitte has spent her life trying to make things happen. She leads with drive and initiative, turning ideas into reality wherever she goes. She was the first in her family to attend high school, then university, where she studied music and was introduced to the opera stage. This led to many years on stage as an opera singer in Germany, Denmark and Sweden. Later Birgitte chose a different kind of life. She left Copenhagen for Falster, attracted by the idea of community, closeness and building something of her own. There she bought an old missionary house and turned it into a small concert hall where she now hosts performances of the music she loves - modern music, chamber music and jazz. Blue Lotus Ceremony Transition into the Second Half of Life We invite you to an evening ceremony for women who are tired of constant rushing, endless analysis of the past, and searching for reasons for what is happening outside of themselves. Sometimes, to feel at peace with yourself and experience satisfaction with life, all it takes is a few quiet minutes alone with your feelings. Our Lotus Ceremony is a deep transformative space created to help you slow down, return your attention to yourself, and hear what is usually drowned out by the noise of everyday life. During the ceremony we will work with attention, breathing, and inner observation. The blue lotus infusion helps relax the body and gently deepen a state of presence. A guided meditation will allow you to step out of the usual stream of thoughts and meet your feelings without analysis or the need to fix anything. The sound of singing bowls supports concentration and creates an atmosphere where it is easier to stay connected with yourself. This is a space where you can simply be, listen, and allow clarity to emerge naturally. ENG The topics we will vote to discuss are Emotional presence / mindfulness, Apathy / indifference and Emotional saturation. 1 emotion topics and 2 personal challenges topic to vote for discussion. We will try as a group of random people to sit down and talk about emotions or personal challenges. Not necessarily to find a solution or an improvement, but to share perspectives and maybe discover new perspectives. Some people like to talk, some like to listen, at the start of each event, declare if you would prefer to participate in the discussion or prefer to listen in and chime in with an occasional question. If only danish speaking people are coming we will speak danish, if there are non danish speaking people coming we will speak English.
