We will create a safe and nourishing space for you to connect with yourself, the cacao spirit and others deeply. Where you can open your heart and be present, as we share cacao together, and experience collectively a boost in mood, vitality, intuition and empathy. Cacao improves our mood, brain health and immune system, regulates the nervous system and blood pressure. It is a natural remedy for anxiety, and it makes us feel relaxed and happy at the same time, as serotonin is released when we take cacao. Being rich in antioxidants, cacao helps fight free radicals and slows down ageing. Cacao also helps us to do deep inner work and processing. We will begin with intention setting, and then drink the cacao together as a group. When we all drink cacao together, we are shifting our energy into the same energetic frequency. This is a healing experience for our body, mind and spirit, as it often results in a more intimate connection with ourselves and one another. Being in a sacred space, it opens our heart and mind, inspiring us and creating new ideas. After which, we will move our body to music to feel and express ourselves, connecting with our heart and soul. Today, Latin American Samba is characterized by its syncopated timing, rolling hip action, pelvic tilt and a slight bounce, while its rhythm is also expressed throughout the torso. **About the experience: 🍃༄** Winding things down in December creates the perfect rhythm to immerse yourself in nature. This practice of **natural embodiment** **is a not a hike nor is it meant to be therapy** \- it is a slow\, reflective\, and embodied practice\. During the session, we move at an unhurried pace and pause often. Through nature-inspired invitations, such as listening to the sand, holding a natural object, or resting in stillness — we allow nature to meet us where we are, without trying to fix or force anything. This practice draws on somatic awareness, gentle attention, and non-linear exploration. Experiences may feel calming, emotional, grounding, or quietly insightful — each person’s experience will be different. There is no expectation to perform, share, or achieve anything. You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are. Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
