This event is simple, this initiative takes 2 Hours. Most of the participants use pencils, water pencils or watercolours. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. **City walk, Free time & Sterrentocht**
This event consists partly of a group walk in the city center of Tilburg and partly of offering free time. The group walk is at a slow pace so you can connect with others, while enjoying the scenery of the city and taking photos along the way. In case of bad weather: bring an umbrella! After about 75 minutes, free time starts: we’ll check in if people like to continue our group walk or if there are other ideas to do in the city. For instance going to a museum, a café, do photography or anything else. If we continue our walk it will be at the same pace, we’ll go to new areas and if there’s enough interest we’ll go for a coffee in between. At 17:00 we’ll stop hosting the event, but on this day the Sterrentocht is organized in Tilburg, starting at 17:00 @Willemsplein. This is a real recommendation if you like light, arts and Dutch cultural events.

This event has a meetup in Arnhem (11:40) and Tilburg (13:00), as described above. If you're joining us in Arnhem, you have to use your own OV-chipkaart. Heart of Compassion: Meditatie & Reflectie

Ben je benieuwd naar wat het Tibetaans boeddhisme inhoudt en zoek je een plek waar je op een ontspannen en toegankelijke manier kunt kennismaken? Of ben je gewoon op zoek naar een moment van rust, meditatie en reflectie? Dan ben je van harte welkom bij *Heart of Compassion*, een reeks zondagochtendbijeenkomsten waarin compassie het centrale thema vormt. Aan deze activiteit kun je per keer meedoen.
Tijdens deze ochtenden beginnen we met een gezamenlijke meditatie. Daarna volgt een korte inleiding op een boeddhistisch thema, zoals de [Vier Edele Waarheden](https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vier_edele_waarheden), compassie voor jezelf en voor anderen. We nemen vervolgens de tijd om samen stil te staan bij het onderwerp, in de vorm van een gesprek of een geleide meditatie die uitnodigt tot reflectie.

Mad Cow Comedy hosts an afternoon of stand-up comedy performed by various international acts, all performing in English. Utrecht-based comedian, Rachel Morton-Young, introduces a different mix of comedians every 2 weeks, so no two shows are ever the same.

Our show now takes place in the Biergarten at Kartoffel, a German-themed restaurant along the historic Oudegracht (only a 10 minutes walk from Utrecht Central Station). The venue has great, affordable food, so considering coming early for lunch, or staying for a bite after the show.

Morning Meditation
Please join us every other Sunday.
What you can expect:
We will have coffee, tea and snacks ready for you. As we settle into the practice we will sit and become comfortable in our chairs or cushions.
I will ease us into a guided meditation progressively working from the base of our spine, our root chakra to your crown. Once we have completed the chakra wash we will sit for an additional 5-10 minutes.
The full meditation will last between 25-35 minutes.
After we will be brought out of the meditative state and there will be time to reflect, share, connect, or sit silently.

Arting at Elixer!
Hey! This is our first event. So yeah the idea is to meet up make some art and have a good time! It doesnt really matter what medium you choose or how good you think you are. The point is to be encouraged to take some time out of the week to make art, for whatever reason you do it for.
Im not associated to the restaurant Elixer by the way, its just my favorite one so I thought about doing it there. I think its a quirky and happy place. The address is Batjanstraat 1a.
Meetups charges me 46 a month to host the group and the events. If you can pelase send me a donation so I can continue to host these. If I make a profit from this, I thought about using it to muy some art materials and/or books to bring to the gatherings.

Shrinky Dinks workshop. Make keychains, pins, badges & croc jibbitz workshop
**Hi Everyone!**
**Details:**
This is the only Shrinky Dink workshop experience in Amsterdam!
Shrinky dinks is an art form that uses sheets of special plastic that shrink and contract when they are heated.
The sheets can be drawn on and coloured with marker pens and cut with scissors.
When they are heated they shrink into cute little charms that can be made into key chains, earings, lapel pin badges and fridge magnet.
These were really popularity in the 1980s but they are currently making a come back!
Draw you favourite cartoon character or picture on the plastic and then shrink it.
Cover it in UV resin to dry and then attaché them to earring badges pins and keychains!
Make beautiful and unique gifts for your loved ones.

The workshops are on the second Sunday of every month at 1:15pm.
**Workshop Description:**
The workshop is 2-3 hours
All equipment, materials and instructions is included.
It is a good idea to have an idea about what character you would like to draw and make into a shrinky dink.
Maybe Hello Kitty? Cinnamoroll? Buzz Lightyear? Pikachu? Lilo & Stitch?
Once you have decided what you want to draw, print it out or save a picture to your smartphone or tablet and bring it to the workshop.
If you can’t decide, we have a mini library of books teaching you how to draw cute / kawaii animals and popular cartoon characters that you can use for inspiration.
We also have a selection of pre-printed templates of popular characters you can use to trace.
The workshop will start with an introduction and will cover the following topic.
1\. How to draw\, trace and colour on the shrink dink sheets\.
2\. How to trace using you phone or tablet\.
3\. How to cut and shape shrink dinks\.
4\. How to heat them and keep them flat\.
5\. Applying UV resin and how to cure them\.
6.Attaching charm to earing hoops, keychains, badge pin and magnets.
7\. Troubleshooting common problems\. Curling\, smudges & rough edges\.
The workshop is a fun and relaxing afternoon of hands on art and craft.
It wil be a fun time of crafting, laughing and chatting with people in a nice environment with an excellent soundtrack.
An apron and gloves are provided but it is recommended to wear old or dark coloured clothes.

CMG Gives Back: Food Distribution at CHAMPION FOOD PANTRY!
Start the New Year off right! Join us as we get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event to distribute food at the Champion Food Pantry! We’ve created a great little community of Movie Group friends! Rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “Create a better world” by helping serve people in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
CHAMPION FOOD PANTRY: The Champion Food Pantry provides needed food to neighbors experiencing food insecurity. For this event, we’ll be volunteering to help with Food Distribution during client pick up times. Our group will receive on-the-spot training from some of their seasoned regular volunteers.
PLAN FOR CHAMPION FOOD PANTRY: Please arrive by 2:45pm. Our volunteer time will be from 3:00 to 6:00pm.
LOCATION & PARKING: The Champion Food Pantry is located at 1460 S. Champion Ave in Columbus. Parking is located in the lot on Frebis across from the pantry. Please enter through the door marked "Volunteers enter here” on Frebis Ave. A map has been uploaded to the photos.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing the majority of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. Japanese Language Meetup at Dublin Library
Come and join our lively Japanese language meetup, where Japanese language learners and native speakers come together to learn, play, and connect. We’ll practice through fun games and interactive conversation in a relaxed, welcoming environment. At Unity of Columbus, our Youth and Family Ministry nurtures the spiritual growth of children and families through love, joy, and practical spiritual teachings. Each Sunday, children explore timeless spiritual principles through stories, creative activities, music, and group sharing in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our program encourages children to discover their own inner light, express kindness, and develop a personal connection with God. Together, we celebrate diversity, cultivate understanding, and inspire each child to live with purpose and compassion. Parents and families are invited to join in this uplifting journey of learning, laughter, and spiritual connection.

You are lovingly invited to join this year’s **MidWeek Renewal** as we explore *The Power of Intention* by **Wayne W. Dyer**, a timeless and transformative work that invites us to align with the creative Presence Dr. Dyer refers to as Intention. This seven-week study and discussion series offers an opportunity to deepen spiritual awareness, strengthen personal practice, and engage in meaningful conversation within a supportive Unity community.
Together, we will explore the book’s three sections—*The Essentials of Intention*, *Putting Intention to Work*, and *The Connection*—through guided discussion and weekly reading. The series begins with an introductory session and unfolds in a way that encourages reflection, spiritual growth, and practical application in daily life. Offered in a **hybrid format**, in-person participation is encouraged, with a Zoom option available for those joining online. Whether you are new to Unity teachings or a longtime Truth student, all are welcome.
