These are our regular Monday evening electronics nights. Everyone from absolute beginner to experienced is welcome. These evenings are not classes or tutorials, rather a very friendly informal evening. We have a wide range of people who come. Some are absolute beginners who do not even work or study electronics, but are interested to know more. Others have something that they are already working on. We almost always have some first time visitors and we always give them a tour of the space. Come in with your Pi, Arduino, or whatever you have. Bring your laptop. Maybe you want to make something, solder, breadboard or use our electronic gear. Maybe you have some vague ideas and just want to get started. Or maybe you’re just curious……if so, it’s fine to come along and just see what others are doing. If you would like to get even more involved and have the full use of our space, we would be delighted to have you as a full member. Membership brings many benefits. We are located behind Mr Price and the Bright Lights store on Kylemore Road. We have lots of free parking available.

Come along to get rid of the number one fear people have. Every week we have new members and people starting from scratch so you will not be alone. Everything is based around what you're comfortable with and you don't have to stand up, talk or do anything if you don't feel like it. But you will have the opportunity to speak at least 4/5 times a night. You can come along to see what we're doing and take part if you like. We are trying something new at Socrates Cafe Dublin. We are doing **trilogies** \- three back\-to\-back monthly topics that connect to tell a story\. Our next trilogy will be around the mystery of human flourishing\. For our first in the series we are going to ask: *What is beauty?* Then in May: *What role does 'home' play in our well-being?* Finally, in June, *what roles do nature and nurture play in our well-being?* We’ve all made the exclamation: “now, that is beautiful!” And life seems better, richer for it. What do we mean by ‘beauty’? What qualities does something require in order to be classified in such a way? What things can be given such label? Are there things that do not deserve to be called beautiful? Is beauty restricted to physicality? Is beauty merely subjective or does it have an objective framework? Is it a matter of the feminine side of life? Is it something internal or external? Come along next Tuesday evening at the lovely Third Space Cafe Smithfield for a facilitated discussion about beauty. Without robust fault tolerance, a single latent dependency can trigger a cascading failure across an entire ecosystem. Anthony's talk will focus on how Gong overcame some of those challenges and how they are implementing resilience utilising patterns such as Circuit Breakers, Rate Limiters and others to maintain stability and provide graceful degradation even when downstream services are under duress.

We are asking everyone to along a motion to debate. It can be serious, political, philosophical, light-hearted, or completely creative. Whether it’s “This House Would Ban Social Media for Under 16s” or “This House Believes Pineapple Belongs on Pizza,” we want to hear your ideas! The more varied and imaginative the motions, the better the debates will be. We’ll be holding **1-on-1 debates for each motion** so every idea gets its spotlight, and every speaker gets the opportunity to go head-to-head in a focused, fast-paced exchange of arguments. This format is perfect for developing quick thinking, structured reasoning, and confident delivery. Debating isn’t just about winning arguments it’s about learning to express yourself clearly, think on your feet, and engage with ideas under pressure. These are skills that carry far beyond the room, helping with exams, interviews, applications, and everyday conversations. Centro Cultural Capoeira Água de Beber (CECAB) – Capoeira Água de Beber Cultural Centre – is a non-profit organization, founded officially in January 2002. Its pivot activity is Capoeira (classes, rodas, workshops, public presentations, cultural events, performances), however it aggregates other cultural manifestations as: samba de roda, maculelê, frevo, ciranda, dança do coco, dança afro, puxada de rede, craftworks workshops of making and playing music instruments, video projections, movies, lectures about relevant cultural topics and matters related to enforcement of citizenship. All the activities realized through CECAB are designated to execution of social responsibility projects, further on the sportive, cultural and artistic activities through the realization of the shows, presentations and events related to Capoeira and Brazilian culture.

The Alliance is part of the Greater Central Ohio Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
