Through Our Lens - photography group!
Welcome to our new photography group! This is an ongoing gathering for **Through Our Lens**, an ongoing empowerment photography and community storytelling workshop at MIITTI, Lapinlahden Lähde. These sessions are **for those who are considering joining the regular weekly group.** You’ll always have space to ask questions and decide whether you’d like to participate. **: About commitment :** This is a process-based workshop series that builds over time. While life situations can change, we ask participants to join with the intention of attending sessions regularly and taking part in the shared group process. The quality of the workshops depends on mutual presence, respect, and continuity within the group. **:Through Our Lens:** Through Our Lens is a community-focused photography series combining empowerment photography, identity exploration, and creative storytelling. Using only everyday mobile phones, participants learn to notice, capture, and express their personal experiences through images. The project aims to: * Create meaningful social connections. * Strengthen cross-cultural understanding * Support integration through shared creative expression * Empower migrants and refugees to tell their own stories * Build community through participatory arts practices Grounded in the principles of empowerment photography, the project centres participants as authors of their own narratives. Through workshops, storytelling exercises, and a community exhibition, participants reflect on their daily life, belonging, hopes, roots, identities, and experiences of belonging. Finally, with the help of reflective sharing circles, and a small exhibition, participants share these themes with other participants and to the public. **: WHEN**: The group have begin with meetings on 10th of February and continue until mid-March. In between the meetings, there will be individual work based on the prompts presented during the groups. Registration is mandatory. **: WHERE**: Tallipääty, MIITTI office Lapinlahden Lähde [Lapinlahdenpolku 8](https://maps.app.goo.gl/SdMzAv5HUF3m1DZw9) 00180 Helsinki (How to find us: When entering through the gates of the courtyard of the yellow main building of Lapinlahden Lähde, the door to MIITTI's office is the first one on your left-hand side.) **: IMPORTANT**: Spots are limited to ensure a comfortable group size, make sure to reserve yours! The State of Business Agility in Finland
The State of Business Agility in Finland
Achieving Business Agility is much harder and elusive than most people realise. With a predominant focus on agility at team level, most of the Agile implementations often miss the enablement of agility at the whole organisation level. It could be argued that businesses don't even have an agreed definition of what Business Agility is. During this session, the participants will start by exploring some of the characteristics and elements that enable agility in Business. Then, based on our collective experience, we will assess how present those characteristics are in Finnish businesses. Timings of the event: * 17:00 - 17:30 - Arrival & Networking * 17:30 - 19:00 - Workshop * 19:00 - 19:30 - Closing & Networking This session will be facilitated by Eliska Cejpova, Jose Casal and Juhani Tapaninen (ordered by our shoe sizes) :-)

Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. Making Moves: Small-Group Coaching for Women in Product
## Hey Columbus WIP peeps! ## Are you ready for an event that actually gives you what you asked for?? **\-\-\-\-\-\-** **A Small-group coaching conversations for women in product navigating growth, leadership, and career decisions.** **March 10 \| 5:30–8:00 PM** **Rev1 -- NEW SPACE** **330 Rush Alley #100** **Parking Options:** • **Rev1 at The Peninsula** • **Starling St. Garage South** – 377 W. Capital St. • **LAZ Parking (COSI)** – 50 Belle St. • **LAZ Parking Limited** – 375 W. State St. • **Veterans Memorial Lot** – 300 W. Broad St. • **Metered Street Parking** **What moves are you making?** A promotion you’re working toward. A role change you’re considering. A bigger leadership opportunity. A conversation that needs to happen. A decision that’s been sitting in the back of your mind. For our Q1 Women in Product Columbus event, we’re creating space to actually work through those moments. **Making Moves** is an evening of focused, facilitated coaching conversations with experienced mentors from our local product community. This isn’t a panel. It’s not passive networking. It’s small-group dialogue designed to be thoughtful, practical, and worth your time. Here’s how it will work: • You’ll choose a topic that reflects what you’re navigating right now • You’ll join a small coaching circle (5–7 participants) • Each circle is led by a mentor who has lived experience in that area • We’ll run two rounds so you can go deeper or explore a second conversation ### Coaching Topics: • Communicating the Value of Your Work (or Team) • Career Transitions & What’s Next • Growing Into Leadership • Staying Relevant as Technology (and AI) Changes • Getting Alignment and Decisions from Leadership Our goal is simple: you leave with clearer thinking, practical perspective, and at least one next step you feel confident about. Space in each circle will be limited to keep conversations meaningful. If this sounds like the kind of room you’ve been wanting to be in, we’d love to see you on March 10. RSVP here!
