FLow - vocal soundbath and breathwork meditation + freestyle vocal session
đą Doors open at 18:30 and sessions start at 19:00.
Freestyle vocal workout at and play session. âŹ8-20
đ Flow is a state of being⊠an experience when you allow yourself to be 100% fully engaged in the present moment in a feedback loop between clarity and satisfaction. It is an undeniable sensation where things seem to be more effortless, pleasurable, in sync, and you can easily sense a connection with something greater than yourself; this is what we will createâŠ:
âą a connected and mindful meditation where it is possible to blissfully surf the cutting edge of the present moment togetherâŠ
âą a game where itâs possible to feel excited and calm in the same moment, and everyone can win as much as they likeâŠ
Scott Bolden, founder of Das Baumhaus Berlin will share some very easy, practical and effective methods developed during the last 12 years of facilitating the âImprovisational Groove Orchestraâ (I.G.O.) improv vocal jam sessions.
Within 20 minutes participants learn to use the common sound space to create resonance in the form of improvisational music where it is quite common to experience some real flow momentsâŠ
It is very easy to participate, no musical talent or training is required so anyone is welcome to join. All of the session is done with eyes closed to avoid visual distractions and keep focus on the co-created sound space. During these sessions we will also have short breaks for feedback and refreshment.
Important â Please be on time. It is very important to understand the methodology and warm up in the group before joining in!
đ€ @21:00 - Freestyle vocal workshop and practice session.
âŹ8-15
Have you ever wanted to learn how to do freestyle vocalizations? Maybe you are on your way and would like to just have a fun workout session with other vocal freestyle enthusiasts. All levels welcome.

Shared Experience Builds Teams
A practical theatre-based experience for HR and professionals working with teams.
Created by TISTO studio. We create spaces where individuals become more authentic and teams grow more connected. We help people return to real human contact â with themselves and with each other.
Life gets busy and digitally overloaded. Our mind is always on, weâre moving on autopilot, and real connection starts to feel rare. We miss that sense of being fully alive â doing something just for fun, no reason, just because.
Playground is a 2-hour session built around games and structured exercises actors use to develop presence, spontaneity, focus, and connection. Youâll practice with no scripts, no experience, and no preparation â just show up and play in real time.
Workshop held in English

Important Rules
The event is for connection and VibXchange.
You may of course introduce yourself and explain what you do.
Religion, politics and sexual topics are not discussed at CBC after-work events.

Workshop in Realistic Portrait Drawing with Pencil | EN | June 28
**You like drawing but find portraits challenging?**
**You just need the right process!**
Then this workshop is for YOU!
And for anyone who wishes to explore realistic pencil portrait drawing from photographic references through a structured method, and wants to learn or refine pencil hatching and shading techniques.
The workshop is designed for a small group, allowing a flexible and supportive approach, adapting to each participantâs level: from guiding beginners to helping intermediate artists tackle their personal creative challenges.
Without the pressure of the final result, we will focus on learning the method and enjoying the creative process.
I am Alessia Sinopoli, an Italian professional artist based in Berlin, and I will be your instructor throughout this journey.
**What we'll do step by step**
**Weâll combine theory and practice:**
* Practice targeted observation to select the best reference photo
* Use the grid method for accurate proportions and create a preliminary sketch
* Understand the differences between pencils of various hardness and get familiar with the materials weâll use
* Master shading (the real magic!) with hatching techniques to shape volume and depth
* Train your observational skills to recognize different tonal values
* Explore changing perspectives to refresh your vision
* Discuss common mistakes and learn how to avoid them
* Receive attentive, highly personalized guidance aimed at supporting your individual way of drawing
**Breaks and Refreshments**
While drawing, weâll enjoy some tea.
Between the first and second parts of the workshop, weâll take a break, Itâll be the perfect moment to connect, share a cup of coffee and a sweet treat together (vegan option available).
**What is included?**
Leave home as light as a butterfly, **everything is provided!**
All materials provided **for use during the workshop** are professional, artist-grade quality and carefully selected for realistic pencil drawing techniques:
* Graphite pencils (professional quality, different hardness grades)
* High-quality drawing paper suitable for detailed pencil work
* Precision eraser tools for detailed highlights and corrections
* Essential drawing accessories including sharpeners, additional erasers, paper-cleaning brushes, and other studio equipment

**Who is this workshop for?**
This workshop is for those who want to spend a cozy and relaxing Sunday in a creative environment, while learning.
We will engage intensively in shading and learn essential technical elements and a structured process that provide a solid foundation for building a portrait.
*Because it is from strong foundations that creativity can truly flourish, allowing subsequent portraits to develop into more intuitive, free, and personal expressions.*
**Location**
The workshop takes place at Kunstraum Heartspace, a bright and inspiring shared studio. Itâs welcoming and filled with creative energy!

Der Atem wird zum Wegweiser:
zu deinem Körper, zu deinen GefĂŒhlen, zu dem, was gesehen und losgelassen werden möchte.

Two talks. One evening. Plenty of ideas to take home. Weâre ready to kick things off for another Berlin Meetup, and are happy to present the speakers of the evening:
**[Jens Wriske](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jens-wriske-8b538a397/):** ***"Designing APIs on top of Data Platforms using Databricks"***
Modern data platforms increasingly follow a lakehouse architecture, where data remains owned and governed by domain teams rather than application developers. This session explores how APIs can be designed on top of Azure Databricks to provide access to heterogeneous data sources without duplicating or owning the underlying storage layer.
**[Tanuj Jain](https://www.linkedin.com/in/tanuj-jain-10/): *"The Story Behind the Story: "Building a Contextual News Chatbot."***
Most news readers lack the background to fully engage with the stories they encounter. This talk walks through the development of a chatbot embedded in a news article page for a German news publisher, designed to give readers on-demand context about what they're reading. We share the key technical and product decisions made along the way, and what we learned about building an AI feature that sits at the intersection of editorial and user experience.

Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all types of work welcome)
Hello! Iâm organising a coworking + socialising session for all of us who are working on projects (e.g. our own creations, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. đ
To ensure that we have time for both socialising AND working, we will be using the so-called âPomodoroâ technique:
**50 mins deep work** (silent), followed by **10 mins break** to socialise. And then repeat!
You are welcome to join whatever your personal background is, and whatever project you are working on.
I (the host) speak English and German, so either language is fine.
ââââââââââââââââââ-
AGENDA:
* **Short Intro**
Tell us who you are and share something about what you will be working on today
* **Pomodoro Session** \- 3x \(3h\)
Each Pomodoro session consists of 50 mins focused âdeep workâ (no talking, no interruptions, **phones on silent mode**)
-> then 10 mins break: a chance to share your progress with others
-> Repeat
* **15 mins Wrap Up**
Celebrate what you achieved and get to know others đ
ââââ
Wifi + power plugs are available - but best to bring a fully charged laptop, just in case đ
You **do not** have to pay anything. But since we are using the café space, it is common courtesy to buy at least one drink (coffee costs roughly **4 Euros**).

**Abstract**
*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, weâll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. Weâll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. Weâll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.
