Women’s Circle: Sisters of the Willow Moon
Women’s Circle: Sisters of the Willow Moon
Sisters of the Willow moon circle is a safe circle for women to share, hold space, and explore our spirituality together. We engage in rituals, meditation, card pulls, and other activities geared toward creating community with our fellow seekers. We honor the divine feminine and craft new ways to forge our paths. Sisterhood and solidarity are powerful, and we can experience these together in Circle.
About the host
Sarah Karney (Mary Rose Mara) is a solitary, eclectic witch in practice for four years. She works with tarot, shadow work, and astrology to connect with the Divine Feminine. She is an intersectional feminist who loves sharing her experience as a witch, especially with those new to the craft. She leads workshops on magical practices, writes a blog (witch baby witch), and studies many forms of holistic healing. She believes in activism in the community and loves helping others find joy and spirituality.

Birding by Ear for Beginners especially for Blind and Low Vision participants!
Birding by Ear for Beginners especially for Blind and Low Vision participants!
We will take a very slow walk throughout Alcova Heights Park, which is very flat and has wide pathways. The group leader will use a pair of binoculars if necessary, and seeing participants may use binoculars as well. However, our goal will be for both seeing and blind/low vision persons to hear, identify, and learn the sounds of the birds in the park and potentially develop mnemonics for the bird calls. You might be surprised to find how quickly you will learn the sounds of bird species! We will be aided by the Merlin app, and the group leader will record our bird observations in the eBird app. Over time, we will be able to query eBird to see our growing birding expertise! Participants wishing to use eBird and Merlin type apps, please download them and create accounts ahead of time; we won’t have time to do that during the event.

LGBTQIA+ Community Crochet- First Meeting!
**Calling all queer crochet enthusiasts;** I am a visual artist located in Columbus that is searching for people who may want to gather while also participating in creating a piece of artwork. My goal is to spend time enjoying one another’s company while making a work of art that will be displayed within our community. I plan to teach people to crochet (if unfamiliar) while also inviting current fiber artists to join us for some much-needed social interaction. There are no expectations from those who attend, materials will be included, and any amount of participation is welcome! If you have a favorite crochet hook or current project you are welcome to bring that along too! The primary goal is to foster a safe space for our community to chat, create and be. I've been hardware hacking a See N Say to make it say whatever I want - while the project is in progress still, it should be working by this meetup! I'll bring it for demo. [See N Say Project](https://github.com/cdeever/esp32-see-n-say) While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
