We will meet up north in the proximity of the Walulisobrücke. Right next to the public toilets. From there on we cycle along the Donauradweg downstream until we arrive at the Uferhaus in Orth an der Donau. There roughly halfway through we will have a break of 10-15 minutes and afterwards cross the Danube by taking the ferry boat (http://www.faehre-orth.at/) to Haslau an der Donau. Then we cycle across smaller hills and a few villages to the Vienna Airport and further to the Kraftwerk Freudenau where the event ends. **Distance:** 55 km **Elevation gain:** 206 m **Max altitude:** 196 m **Average speed:** 20-21 km/h (please only participate if you feel comfortable at that pace) **Note:** The route is mostly paved. A gravel or road bike is recommended. Be inspired like Beethoven, who roamed these hills in 1814. After gathering at Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof) we'll catch a 20-minute train to a quaint municipality just outside Vienna. A short walk will lead us straight through town and up to its thick walled neo-Gothic church. There, we start our proper hike up and around this picturesque mountain with its token 12th-century castle, which also starred in Stephen Herek's "The Three Musketeers". Expect a lush pine forest, magnificent views and impressive medieval architecture. But that's not all. Underway we'll also take a detour to the nearby Seegrotte, Europe's largest underwater lake.
