This means, that if you miss this session, you can perfectly join the next. Every group decision that will play, will affect the world, for the following players to discover, for the good or the bad that the future will provide. Every single choice will affect everyone else game. **Unfortunately**, due to a few last-minute cancellations during the last events, I’ll be introducing a small entry fee for participation. This is simply to encourage a stronger commitment, as there were people on the waiting list who missed the opportunity to join in when spots unexpectedly became available. As well it helps to support pay the monthly fees to keep the meetup going. **The RPG School Initiative** a *beginner-focused* one-shot event series RPG School offers a beginner-focused, relaxed atmosphere to experience the joy of table-top roleplaying gaming for the first time. We will show you the ropes and dice, take you on a fun adventure and are prepared for all your questions. No prior experience with roleplaying or the system is needed. We will be playing Daggerheart, a new Fantasy RPG by Critical Role, using a world called Beast Feast: A bit absurd, certainly comedic, sometimes creepy, but always fun and silly. You will be playing with three to four other players at one table, the assignment happens during the event. We start each adventure with a short introduction, where you learn about the basics and pick your pre-made character. Afterwards we dive into a unique experience, explaining the rules and concepts while actually playing the game. At the end, we have time to talk and find connections as well as hear your thoughts and questions. All games are in English. A powerful lure drew all the dangerous creatures in your forest down into caves beneath. Your community lived a simple life of peace for generations, only taking what you needed and leaving the lush but dangerous undergrounds to the monsters. But recently, the lure seems to have lost its allure. Monster sightings have grown and just last night, there was even an attack on your mayor, Doug Dougle! He survived but it was a shock for your community. You and your friends decide to tackle the problem yourselves. You arm yourself with a rolling pin, a fishing rod or whatever other odd tool you find. Packing only the essentials, you head out and turn west, to the well-known but shunned entrance to the legendary endless caves. What dangers and wonders will you encounter? What happened to the lure? And what will you eat on your journey? **TONE:** The tone of the setting and adventures will be absurd, comedic and lighthearted. Still, fighting somewhat creepy monsters will be part of the experience. This will help to remember all names. You will also have a pen and a sheet of paper just exclusively for you where you need to write the names of all the dates you will have and comments just for yourself. You may find in the sheet the number or letter of the table you need to sit at the beginning. Go to the waiting area that the organizers will tell you. At the end of the event it is important that you scan the first QR CODE on your sheet and there will have to fill in your contact information: name, phone number, instagram, mail... and the name of the three people you like the most (It is a good idea to write all the names in the sheet as long as we are having the dates, and at the end just crossed out all except for the 3 we like the most). In the form we will also appreciate your feedback either good or negative to improve the event. You can grab a drink, nip the loo and relax in the indicated area. We ask the girls to come 15 minutes earlier than guys to start sitting them. In general we organise two or three groups divided by age range, but it depends on the number of participants. During the rounds a waiter/waitress will come just in case you need a refill! * **Icebreaker activity** → Depending on the day we have an ice-breaker activity for each group which consists in answering questions to start getting to know all participants. * **Rounds Begin** → Each participant has a mini-date (7 minutes) with another person. You may find ice breaker questions on the table in case you need them to help start enthralling conversations. * **Rotation** → At the signal (host announcement or gong), the guys move to the next partner. The rotation is always following the order of the numbers or letters you will find on the table: A,B,C,D,E,F... 1,2,3,4,5,6... When you get to the last number you will jump to the first one. Same with letters. Boys will be stand up 30 seconds to take notes and girls will remain sitting in same position. * **Half-break** → There is no half-break but if you want to pause, just ask the host if you can skip a round of 7 minutes so you can order drinks or food, go to the can or just relax at the garden. * **End of Rounds** → At the end we usually gather at the garden to have a drink. Like this you still have time to talk to people and make your decision. * **Fill the sheet** → Participants indicate who they’d like to see again. Maximum 3 names. It is important to scan the first QR code in your sheet to fill the form. We could increase the number of names voted but here we are **looking for the real sparkle. En la hoja podrás tener el número o letra de la mesa donde deberás iniciar el juego. Ves a la zona de espera indicada por los organizadores. Al final del evento es **muy importante** escanear el **primer QR** de tu hoja para rellenar el formulario con tu: * nombre * número de teléfono * Instagram * correo electrónico * **los tres nombres** de las personas que más te han gustado *(Es buena idea escribir todos los nombres durante las citas y al final tachar todos excepto los 3 que más te gusten.)* En ese formulario también puedes dejar tu feedback para mejorar el evento. Mientras esperas puedes pedir una bebida, ir al baño y relajarte en la zona indicada. Pedimos a las chicas que lleguen **15 minutos antes** para poder sentarlas antes de que lleguen los chicos. Durante las rondas, un camarero pasará por si necesitáis pedir algo. *** ### **Actividad para romper el hielo** Dependiendo del día, hacemos una actividad para romper el hielo que consiste en contestar una serie de preguntas por grupos que sirven para conocer un poco más las diferentes personas antes de empezar las rondas de speed dating. ### **Inicio de rondas** Cada participante tiene una mini-cita de **7 minutos** con otra persona. Podrás encontrar preguntas para romper el hielo en la mesa que podrás usar si tu deseas para empezar una buena conversación. ### **Rotación** A la señal del anfitrión (campana o gong), **los chicos se mueven** a la siguiente mesa. La rotación es siempre siguiendo el orden de los números o letras que se encontrarán en las diferentes mesas: A,B,C,D,E,F... 1,2,3,4,5,6.... Al llegar a la última letra, se irá hacía la primera. Lo mismo aplica con los números. Los chicos se levantan 30 segundos para tomar notas; las chicas permanecen sentadas. ### **Pausa** No hay pausa general, pero si quieres descansar una ronda de 7 minutos, puedes pedir al anfitrión saltarte una ronda para pedir bebida, comida, ir al baño o relajarte en el jardín. ### **Fin de rondas** Al terminar, normalmente nos reunimos en el jardín para tomar algo. Así puedes seguir hablando y tomar tu decisión final. ### **Rellenar la hoja** Indica los nombres de **máximo 3 personas** que te gustaría volver a ver. Escanea el **primer QR** y rellena el formulario. Podríamos ampliar a más nombres pero aquí realmente **estamos buscando la chispa real**, por eso el límite es de 3 nombres máximo a votar. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. 
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn.

IMPORTANT: 
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
