Everyone is always welcome to join our events. Our community is all about creating authentic in-person connections in this urban jungle. Come as you are... itโs the best version of yourself.
**ABOUT THE EVENT**
Join this **very special event** and take a look at **luxury cars** (Ferrari, Porsches, and more) before heading up to a **cozy rooftoop cafรฉ & resto** with a stunning view of the **elevated** **MRT train** and the **JakSel skyline**, have a bite and drink with fellow Jakarta Friends and play a few rounds of **free pool (billiard)** in this fabulous terrace overlooking the city!
An informal and intimate evening where we favour **authentic connections** **and conversations** instead of big, loud group where you don't manage to go past the superficial "where are you from" and "what do you do" questions.
When checking in, everyone will be reminded not to use their phone. This is an event were we disconnect and enjoy each other presence! **No phones are allowed for the duration of the event!** Will you manage? ๐
This is a unique event with **very limited places** as the cafรฉ is small. There's a table reserved for us inside (airco & non-smoking). First-timers are particularly encouraged to join! Reserve your spot today and make sure you update your RSVP if you cannot come. No show = kicked from the group.
Our events are **introvert friendly** and we favour authenticity! Everyone is always welcome to join our events. For this event, we have chosen a small cafรฉ with an astonishing view and a delicious and diverse food menu. The location is excellent and the view of the MRT train passing a few meters away is absolutely epic.
At the entrance of the building there is a shop for luxury cars and you are invitated to take a stroll and feel free to buy one ๐ Be prepared to identify yourself with ID at the entrance for security reasons. Then you can head up with the elevator to the rooftop terrace (having both an inside area with airco and outside/smoking area with pool table). A table is reserved for us under the name "MeetUp".
The event starts at 6.30 PM and I strongly recommend to arrive on time. The kitchen closes at 8 PM for the last order. Don't be late and don't miss this opportunity to have an authentic evening with locals and international new friends. We will ask for a split bill and everyone will be paying what they consume. **Pool is free!**

* It's OK if you arrive some time after 6.30 PM, but let's try to eat together, shall we! So, try to make it in time.

This Park in South Jakarta combines three iconic parksโAyodya Park, Langsat Park, and Leuser Parkโinto a single, integrated 5.6-hectare green open space (RTH). They have a beautiful Skybridge, free sports facilities + playgrounds, and are open 24 hours.
We'll start from **Gate D** (in front of Tuang Coffee), and then take a break at **Ayodya Park** watching the sunset before heading to the restaurant for dinner.
Here is the meeting point:

BOOK CLUB: Heart of a Dog ๐ by Mikhail Bulgakov with Jakarta Writers
Hello, Jakarta Writer! **Are you a member of [Jakarta Friends](https://www.meetup.com/jakarta-friends/) yet?** Want to see **pictures** of past events? **[Take a look here!](https://www.meetup.com/jakarta-creatives/photos/)** And feel free to upload a few pictures you might take at the event ๐
JakWri (former Jakarta Writers) and JakFri is **the** biggest, oldest, most active, and most inclusive MeetUp community in Jakartaโฆ and we invite you to join us for this **BOOK CLUB discussing "Heart of a Dog" ๐ by Mikhail Bulgakov!**
Everyone is always welcome to join our events. Our community is all about creating authentic in-person connections in this urban jungle. Come as you are... itโs the best version of yourself.
**ABOUT THE EVENT**
The idea is very simple: we will meet and discuss the book. Everyone will receive a copy of the book as PDF beforehand **for free** (which we kindly ask not to share with everyone - this book discussion is for educational purposes). Reach out to the host to receive the PDF, and feel free to ask any question in the discussion section of the event page.
Everyone is encouraged to read the short book (in English, about 300 pages) beforehand to participate to the discussion. Coming without having read the book is possible, but just half the fun.
The host will give a short introduction about the book and guide through the discussion, which will be very informal and fun. Everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts and ask questions. This event is **introvert friendly**! No one will be put on the spot or forced to speak. Just join and share your passion for literature, no matter how much you read.
This is a dream event for anyone who wishes to take a deep dive into literature and have a fun, social lunch time. Our book club will be in English. Everyone's English level is OK as this is a nice occasion to practice English in an informal and welcoming setting.
**ABOUT THE BOOK**
A parody on the "New Soviet Man" and eugenics, Bulgakov's satirical and biting novella remains one of the more odd and fascinating takes on Bolshevism.
Sharik, the dog, finds itself rescued by the brilliant and arrogant Profesor Preobrazhensky from the streets full of its natural enemy: the proletariats. One day, the Profesor ends up experimenting on the pampered and fattened Sharik as part of his research on rejuvenation, only for the operation to take a sharp and bizarre turn.
It's best to enter into this book blind, bearing only the questions of which one is more horrifying: the heart of a dog or the heart of a man.
Discover more about the book [on Goodreads](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/113205.Heart_of_a_Dog)!

HTML5 Master Series (Class 03 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT NOTES:**
1. The dates listed for this series are about 95% reliable. We are completing our 2026 schedule as we speak, so minor adjustments are still occurring.
2. Each class in this series has an attendance fee, though this first offering is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Each class, from BOTH a sign-up and fee perspective, is a separate entity.
**Introduction:**
HTML5 is the foundational technology for modern web development, serving as the standard markup language for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. Developed through a collaboration between the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), HTML5 provides a robust system of elements (tags) that tell a browser how to display text, images, and multimedia in a clear and meaningful way. It works in concert with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for presentation and JavaScript for interactivity, forming the core technology stack for virtually all websites and many web applications today.
One of the significant advancements of HTML5 is the introduction of powerful new features and elements designed to improve functionality and simplify development. Key additions include native multimedia support via the \ and \ tags, allowing developers to embed media without third-party plugins. It also offers new form controls for better user input, such as date and email types, and introduces web storage capabilities to store data offline for enhanced performance. These features streamline the process of building rich, interactive web experiences.
A significant focus of HTML5 is enhanced semantics and better structural organization of content. New semantic elements like , , , , and \ provide meaningful structure to documents, which aids in search engine optimization (SEO) and improves accessibility for assistive technologies. These elements define different parts of a webpage (e.g., a header for the top, a nav for navigation links, a footer for the bottom), making the code more readable and understandable for both developers and machines. This emphasis on clear structure helps in creating more logical and maintainable websites.
Developing websites in today's competitive environment requires taking advantage of every technique you can to get the maximum exposure possible. Our HTML5 class will not only show you what's new in the HTML specification, but also the best way to develop optimized web pages that get the attention your client and/or company requires.

What If Your AI Could Be a Team? - Chad Green
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.
