New Year Meetup Invitation
A new year is a small threshold
nothing more than a moment on a calendar, yet somehow it invites us to step a little beyond whatâs familiar. To stand where the ground feels less certain, and where something new might begin.
Iâm opening my place in Prague 9 with my friends, for a simple gathering to share that moment together. Space is limited, so itâs a firstâcome, firstâsaved kind of evening. Weâre already around 10â12 people out of the meetup group, and thereâs room for a few more curious souls.
Maybe Iâll see you here. Or maybe weâll cross paths somewhere along the way.
Either way, the year is waiting and itâs always more interesting when we step into it together.
Everyone brings their own drink or something small to eat, and weâll put everything on the table to share. Iâll prepare some French pancakes to add a little warmth to the evening.

⢠đ Midnight outside with fireworks over the river
⢠đ§ Two music stages + open terrace
⢠đ¸ Fast bars + open kitchen all night

And if you have any leftovers from Silvester's celebrations and you would like to share them, bring those as well. This is entirely optional.
This time we will meet at JZP metro station. You can leave things at my place. The route we will run will be New Year's surprise :)
See you there!
Sunday Brunch Talks
Welcome to a small Sunday brunch salon in my officeâcoffee, tea, water, shared food, and real conversation.
This is a free-thinker circle, not a lecture and not a debate club. The goal is simple: meet thoughtful people, explore ideas, and leave feeling more alive (and less hungry).
**How it works**
⢠Max 8 guests (kept intentionally small)
⢠Free entrance
⢠Iâll provide coffee, tea, water, and some snacks
⢠Everyone brings food to share
⢠Everyone brings 1 question (a real one youâre genuinely curious about)
⢠We will then randomise the order and each question will get minimum 15 minutes to discuss (depending on attendance).
⢠Weâll end with quick takeaways + a vote on a theme for next time
**What kinds of questions fit?**
Anything that sparks honest discussion: philosophy, business, money & ethics, relationships, creativity, discipline, meaning, modern lifeâgrounded, practical, and human.
Vibe rules
⢠Curiosity over ego
⢠Share airtime (no monologues)
⢠Disagree respectfully
⢠No preaching / no âwinningâ

Shut Up & Write!ÂŽ South Side Columbus
Join us for an hour of writing! Weâve discovered that itâs strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if itâs true for you at 7:00pm the second & fourth Wednesday of every month at Two Dollar Radio Headquarters (HQ).
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
**SCHEDULE:**
6:45ish - Quick introductions
7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
8:00 - The End
**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens around 6:45pm. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
**BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing & I look forward to seeing you at Two Dollar Radio HQ!
**WHAT SHOULD I BRING?**
Whatever you need to be able to write! Other customers are welcome at Two Dollar HQ at the time, so please bring earplugs/headphones if noise will bother you!
**OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:**
* **RSVP:** Please RSVP by 6:00pm the evening of the meeting. This helps me know how many to expect, and if we'll need additional space!
* **COVID:** While masks are not required, please be mindful of the other writers around you and their comfort levels.
* **ACCESSIBILITY:** Two Dollar Radio HQ's entrance door on Cline Street is wheelchair accessible, they have two gender-neutral bathrooms that are both wheelchair accessible, and their ordering and table-seating area is as well. Working service dogs are allowed.
* **WIFI/OUTLETS:** Outlets are limited, so please ensure your devices are charged when you come! But Two Dollar Radio HQ does have free WiFi! Yay!
* **PARKING:** There is free public street parking on all surrounding streets, on both sides of Parsons Ave. You are also welcome to park in the Columbus Metropolitan Library parking lot across the street (1113 Parsons Ave). Two Dollar Radio HQ has a bike rack on the corner of Cline and Parsons, and the library has bike parking (across Parsons).
* **FOOD/BEVERAGE:** Two Dollar Radio HQ is a bar and vegan cafe. Their food is 100% vegan and made from scratch, with love. They also serve a range of wine, beer, and cocktails, as well as coffees and teas. If you're able to, please consider thanking our venue by purchasing something!!

* What you're working on
* What you can help others with

* Community events you wanna plug. If none, that's cool too.
Round 3:
* Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool.
After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized! Feel free to work alone, pair up, attend one of our workshops/presentations, or mingle!
Columbus Arduino Raspberry Pi Enthusiasts (CARPE) (Check Location)
Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration!
This session is open forum to share your current projectsâwhether complete or in progress, itâs all interesting! Whether youâre deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, youâll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired.
I've been hardware hacking a See N Say to make it say whatever I want - while the project is in progress still, it should be working by this meetup! I'll bring it for demo. [See N Say Project](https://github.com/cdeever/esp32-see-n-say)
While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, weâll be using public library facilities based on availability.
This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
