Architect in the Age of AI
Architect in the Age of AI
**Live stream and very limited on-site seats available.** **Please use the registration page to join:** **[REGISTRATION PAGE](https://content.software-leader.com/juval-talk-june-2026)** **Topic: Architect in the Age of AI** **In short:** AI code generation presents businesses with a critical challenge: how to benefit from AI code generation, while containing the cost of AI. By default, AI generates very complex code that is not reusable, and it lacks design integrity. The cost of ownership of this code could exceed by multiples the cost of human-generated code. Instead of gains, developers experience strains trying to understand what the AI has generated. Companies now transition from AI euphoria to AI spaghetti. Throttling back token spending does not address the underlying complexity. In this dense session Juval explains what AI is doing wrong, and what businesses are doing wrong trying to leverage AI. Juval will then discuss the crucial role of the architect in unleashing the productivity gains of AI, using the best practices of software engineering. You will see how to future-proof your career, how to avoid being a casualty of AI, and how to be indispensable to your business, saving it from out of-control AI spending and complexity. Juval Löwy is the founder of IDesign and a master software architect. Over the past 20 years, Juval has led the industry with some of his ideas such as microservices – serving as the foundation of software design and development. Juval has mentored thousands of architects across the globe, sharing his insights, techniques, and breakthroughs, and has helped hundreds of companies meet their commitments. Juval participated in the Microsoft internal strategic design reviews and is a frequent speaker at major international software development conferences. He is the author of several bestsellers, his latest book being Righting Software. **Host:** This free lecture is hosted by [Software Leader](https://www.software-leader.com). We help architects to become better technical leaders. **Live stream and very limited on-site seats available.** **Please use the registration page to join:** **[REGISTRATION PAGE](https://content.software-leader.com/juval-talk-june-2026)** Seats are limited. Runic Readings
Runic Readings
Sessions of **individual runic readings** are available for beginners all along summer, both online (75 CHF) and offline in Zurich (100 CHF). These sessions are **NOT** esoteric or divinatory. We're approaching runes as **a symbolic system of archetypes** to examine any situation or question that is currently relevant to you. *If you feel stuck in a situation and cannot see a way forward, are facing a difficult decision, navigating a period of uncertainty, or trying to understand a recurring pattern in your life, a runic reading may offer a different perspective.* **You will receive:** • a clearer and systemic understanding of what is actually happening; • insight into hidden influences affecting the situation; • a better understanding of why certain difficulties keep repeating; • greater clarity around available options and their likely consequences; • practical ideas for what to do next. The future of our work starts with a conversation
The future of our work starts with a conversation
*«The creative and UX industry is changing fast. Roles are shifting, tools are evolving, expectations are rising, and many people are asking what their skills will be worth in the future.»* **This evening is not a classic Last Thursday Talk.** UX Schweiz and Syndicom invite the community to **a workshop and open exchange** for people working in UX, design, research, strategy, communication and related creative fields. The focus is especially on people at the beginning of their careers, people in transition, and everyone currently asking: **What does the future of our work actually look like?** We want to create a space for hopes, concerns, changing roles, useful skills, new tools, AI, career paths and possible forms of support within the community. Uncertainty is allowed, but we do not want to stay stuck in fear. The evening starts with a short input by **[Pascal Geronimi](https://www.linkedin.com/in/pascal-geronimi-5112b324/).** After that, we will work in small groups: collecting thoughts, clustering topics, discussing what matters most, and sharing key insights. Together, we want to explore: * What currently gives us hope? * What feels uncertain or worrying? * How are roles, tools and expectations changing? * Which skills and mindsets might become more important? * What kind of support could UX Schweiz, Syndicom or the wider community offer? **This is an experimental format.** Because this is a workshop-style event, **places are limited**. Please only register if you are quite sure you can attend. If your plans change, please cancel your RSVP so someone else can join. **Format** * Short intro input * Small-group exchange * Shared takeaways in the plenum * Optional informal drinks afterwards nearby **A small question before you come** You do not need to prepare anything. But take a moment to think about this: ***When you think about the future of your work: what gives you hope, and what makes you unsure?*** **Practical information** • The event will be held in English. • The number of participants is limited. • Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.

In Volketswil heisst es: Ready for launch. 🎟️ Ab 16 Jahren: CHF 25 bei Voranmeldung via [info@volkibrains.ch](mailto:info@volkibrains.ch), CHF 30 an der Abendkasse Bis 15 Jahre: kostenlos 📍 Ort: Stationsstrasse 25a, 8604 Volketswil 📅 Datum: Donnerstag, 25. Welcome to the **Task-Buddies** event of the **Zürich Productivity Circle**, where we bring together like-minded individuals to work on personal goals and share the experience of growth in a supportive community. In all of these cases and more, this is the perfect space for you. In fact, productivity does not end there. Even if you just want to read a psychology book to resolve a personal struggle, sketch a mountain, listen to podcasts, organize your week, respond to unanswered emails and messages, enjoy a novel, or just reflect and meditate, you are very welcome here. For any task that adds positively to your life and can be done sitting down with others (exception: anything noisy/disruptive/disrespectful), you will fit into the events. We will meet at a work-friendly café in Zürich and follow the agenda below. **Agenda:** * **Introductions and food (20-30 mins):** Start with a round of introductions to get to know each other and share what we'll be working on, buy our food and drinks. * **Productive Work Session (1-2 hours)** Dive into your individual tasks in a focussed, distraction-free environment. * **Collective Break and Socializing (\~15 mins):** Take a planned break to stretch, chat, get more coffee, and share insights about your projects. * **Continued Work Session (1-2 hours):** Get back to your tasks with renewed focus and motivation. * **Wrap-Up and Reflections (15+ mins):** Conclude with a reflection on what we accomplished, share productivity tips or questions, discuss plans for future meetups, stay back for more chit chat if you like. **What to Bring:** * Your project or task materials (laptop, charger, books, sketchpad, pen, etc.) * Respectful and kind demeanour * A positive attitude and a willingness to share and learn **Note:** Please ensure that your tasks are suitable for a quiet, communal setting.
