Capturing the Colors: Carnival of Cultures Finale & Collaborative Documentary
The Carnival of Cultures (Karneval der Kulturen) is Berlin at its absolute best—vibrant, diverse, and filled with kinetic energy.
As the festival reaches its main day on Sunday, May 25th, The ISO Club is heading to Friedrichshain to capture the ultimate finale of this incredible celebration.
We are meeting at 13:30 PM at Frankfurter Allee (a concrete meeting location will be provided soon) to document the music, the street styles, the crowds, and the closing energy of the 30th anniversary of the carnival. Whether you are a street photographer, a portrait enthusiast, or a videographer making reels, this is the perfect canvas to push your creativity.
**🎥 The Collaborative Documentary Project:**
After the event, we are producing a massive collective photo/video recap to showcase the event through the diverse lenses of our community. By joining this meetup, you agree to contribute a selection of your best shots and video clips. We will compile them into a definitive community documentary on our main channels.

Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
“A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.” - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily.
Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on.
Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship.
This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

BB Photography Workshops is hosting a small-group studio workshop day in Berlin for photographers who want to build stronger portfolio images in a prepared production environment.
The day includes two separate studio sessions:
**Ballet Photography · 10:00–13:00**
**Beauty Photography · 14:30–17:30**
You can join one workshop or book the full-day package.
This is not an open group shoot. The lighting setups, art direction, model guidance and shooting flow are prepared before participants arrive. Each photographer receives individual guidance during the session.
The workshops are led by Burak Bulut Yıldırım — Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador, award-winning photographer, lighting specialist and photography mentor with more than two decades of professional experience.
Art direction is by Meryem Aydın.
**WORKSHOP 1 — BALLET PHOTOGRAPHY**
10:00–13:00
This session focuses on movement, timing, body line, light direction and building a coherent dance photography series.
We will work with an experienced ballet model in a controlled studio setup.
**WORKSHOP 2 — BEAUTY PHOTOGRAPHY**
14:30–17:30
This session focuses on beauty lighting, skin texture, makeup, catchlights, face direction, close-up portraiture, color control and editorial-style image-making.
We will work with an experienced beauty model and a professional makeup artist.

This workshop day is suitable for portrait, beauty, fashion, dance and studio photographers who already know the basic operation of their camera and want to work in a more structured production environment.
Advanced amateurs and semi-professional photographers are welcome.
Participants should be comfortable using manual camera settings.

Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. **5:00 PM EST**: Online and in-person meeting begins with a social hour. This is an unstructured hour where you can join us to catch up and meet other group members before the session starts. There will be food brought in for in-person attendees.
**6:00 PM EST**: Elections, announcements, followed by our feature presentation. See below for presentation details.
**7:30 PM EST**: Optionally after the main presentations, the in-person crowd may go out for snacks and drinks at a local establishment.
