When you join Stäfa’s Art Workshop, you will hear: What I have learned in 21 years of working as a line drawing artist. I will guide, encourage you to try something new. You will draw on high walls or sit at a table. My cosy apartment transformed into an artstudio welcomes you. We are a small group of 4 people. What will happen: connection, listening, exploration, discovery, amazement, joy, appreciation, openness to challenges and feeling moved. Whether you are an interested artist or a beginner looking to improve your skills, this event is the perfect opportunity to enhance your understanding of the significance and impact of lines on your life. Please bring your own curiosity, an old shirt, some comfortable slippers, readiness to get your fingers dirty and have fun. It's no race, no competition, no judging of what you create or others create. This is a weekly beginner-friendly dance class focused on movement, fun and connection 🤍 Perfect for complete beginners, people who are new to Switzerland, or anyone who simply wants to move, dance and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere. Each week we explore different dance styles (commercial, groove, basics, simple choreography) to keep things fresh and exciting – no pressure, no stress, no perfection needed. You don’t need any previous dance experience. Most people are beginners or just starting out. This is not a strict course – you can join whenever you want and come as often as it fits your schedule. Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
