Shut Up & Write!® Thursdays @Café Pierre
Shut Up & Write!® Thursdays @Café Pierre
Join us for a writing session! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 18:00 on Thursdays at Café Pierre. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 18:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 18:15- timer starts 20:00 - (the end) chat / take off / keep writing / discussion group meeting. Café Pierre closes at 24:00 OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens when we're finished and before the writing session starts. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and join us! Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you at Café Pierre! What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Other Important Details: INTERNET: There is WLAN in the café. The staff will tell you the password if you ask them, or just ask me. TRAVEL / PARKING: U3 Neubaugasse, U4 Kettenbrückengasse. If you drive there, remember that Kurzparkzone applies. SEATING INFORMATION: plenty of seats available. It's the big oval table inside, but if the weather is nice in the summertime, we may be found outside. GUIDELINES: Please thank our hosts by purchasing something. Other information: There is no registration process for this meetup. Just click on the meetup you want to attend and then click on the red button "Teilnehmen" or "attend". If that doesn't work, you can attend the writing session anyway.

die ersten Blumen in der Perchtoldsdorfer Heide
die ersten Blumen in der Perchtoldsdorfer Heide
Dear friends, after this cold period, called "real winter" we can enjoy now the first flowers in the Perchtoldsdorfer Heide. Protected flowers like "adonis and pasque flower" (see photos). Migration-birds begins to come back, I heard already the voices of chaffinch and blackcap and every week we can expect more species. I'm pleased to see you again, after this long time, hopefully in good health and with big motivation. Let us meet at the end of **Tramway 60 in Rodaun at 10:00** If the weather is really warm, it will be usefull to bring drinking bottles because there is no restaurant in the Heide. But we can visit one after hiking, on the return to the station, crossing the city of Perchotldsdorf.
Free Meditation & Yoga – just show up – we start at 19.00 on Thursdays
Free Meditation & Yoga – just show up – we start at 19.00 on Thursdays
Hello there! We'd like to welcome you to our FREE Sahaja Yoga meditation meetings hosted by Wolfgang, Hamid, Anil, Shantanu & friends which take place in Vienna – 7pm Thursdays. With Sahaja Yoga Meditation we normally sit on chairs to achieve yoga, effortlessly & spontaneously. So there is no need for mats and no special clothing required. We are all volunteers of a Charity association and have many years of experience in offering free Sahaja Yoga Meditation classes. All across the globe, many are seeking new sources of energy. Meanwhile, the most transformative energy of all is hiding in plain sight, within us. It's natural, sustainable, and infinitely renewable. It's called inner kundalini energy. And everyone already has it — everyone!. It is often likened to an inner feminine or motherly energy which automatically knows about us and what is needed to help us restore balance and harmony within our subtle being. It works spontaneously, effortlessly, organically and cannot be paid for. The classes are designed to help those attending get into a genuine meditative state, which can be felt tangibly. It is quite effortless and spontaneous. The free classes feature introductory talks, video's, practical workshops and general question and answer opportunities, making them perfect for seekers trying to establish a state of yoga, and they are available across Vienna most evenings and throughout Austria. The idea is that you don't do yoga - you Achieve Yoga! Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a simple, time-honored technique. It helps those who enjoy it, reduce stress and increase wellness and health holistically. It brings better focus and helps people become more centered and better balanced. Anyone can do it. Founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a world wide movement for peace and self awakening. All the meetings and classes are free of any charge. Each week we go through simple meditation techniques, often with guided meditations to help reduce stress and achieve the peace of true meditation. We share tips on how to help stay in balance during the day and how to meditate at home. The meditation is based on connecting with the inner chakras (energy centres) and balancing the subtle body. The tradition and aims of meditation are explained which in essence is to be in the present with no mental activity or thoughts about the past or the future. Occasionally there are 1 day retreats to help those interested, deepen their individual experience and hear advice and tips from those who have been practicing for some time. It’s ultimately all about getting into ‘thoughtless awareness’, a natural state of being. 10 Reasons to try-out Sahaja Yoga Meditation in Vienna in 2015 It’s easy. You don’t have to spend years living in the mountains to achieve enlightenment. You don’t have to give up anything or spend weeks in silence. You don’t have to learn mantras or wear special clothes or even try to clear my mind. The meditation simply happens spontaneously. The classes are easy and fun, and as long as you keep up your daily ten minutes of meditation you find you are able to achieve a deep and peaceful meditation on a regular basis. It’s free. You don’t pay for your meditation. There are no catches, and there are no hidden expenses. If you missed attending classes one week, it doesn’t matter. You just picked up the classes again when you could manage it. It is simply the generosity of spirit of other Sahaja Yoga meditation practitioners that allows Sahaja Yoga to be taught to whomever desires it, at no cost. You can see results. You feel relaxed and you feel a deep sense of calm. Now you can also feel your chakras (energy centres) and through the meditation techniques learnt along the way you can understand the vibrations of your own energy centres. If you feel unwell you meditate and use the techniques you’ve learnt to heal your chakras, and you can then feel the centres clearing, and as a consequence your health improves. It’s all-inclusive. All the major religions and their core teachings are acknowledged and respected in Sahaja Yoga. No one’s spiritual journey is right or wrong. And through meditation the wisdom of all the great gurus and saints is easily revealed and understood. In fact, you’ll find that since you’ve been meditating you’ll come to understand and appreciate the teachings of great teachers such as Lao Tse, Buddha and Mohammed. You’re your own boss. You meditate and introspect at your own pace. You don’t have to keep up with others, or feel pressured into doing things you’re not comfortable with. You are your own teacher, your own guru, your own master. This technique of meditation empowers you and enables you to help yourself. You don’t have to rely on anybody else. Of course, there are many people who practice Sahaja Yoga Meditation who can teach you a great deal about the yoga & meditation and its various techniques. However, all that you need is ultimately within you. It’s everywhere. Sahaja Yoga is practiced in almost every country in the world. So, no matter where you travel you can always locate a local Sahaja Yoga Meditation programme that you can attend. Whenever you get the chance, and no matter where you are, You try to link up with other Sahaja Yoga practitioners and enjoy a collective meditation. (Meditating with others is a much deeper and more powerful experience than meditating alone.) It’s portable. You don’t need to take anything with you to meditate: no mats, no potions, no special clothing or books. You can meditate anywhere – in a quiet room or on a noisy bus; at the beach or watching a movie. Thoughtless awareness (the state of meditation) is easy to achieve if you keep meditating daily, and it can be achieved in almost any situation. It makes sense. Everything you’ll learn will make sense. There is a lot of common sense in Sahaja Yogameditation, and even though not everything was known to you (for example, the chakras and their respective qualities), once you have a chance to learn more about the meditation, it feels very natural and comfortable. Everybody does it. When you begin a hobby or join a new group, you often find that there are particular types of people who are in the group with you. For example, some groups attract younger people, others older folk; some groups have a lot of people who are wealthy, or people who live in a certain part of town. In Sahaja Yoga you will find people from every walk of life, from every demographic – male and female, young and old, rich and poor, every shape, size and colour, with varying interests, languages and beliefs. You don’t have to be a certain type of person to do Sahaja Yoga meditation. It is one of those rarities: something for everybody. You feel good. Without fail, every time you sit down to meditate you feel better. Whether you manage to have a deep meditation or not makes no difference, and as a consequence your family and friends are reaping the benefits. So there you have it......ten reasons...... Pop along to a Free Sahaja Yoga Meditation weekly Meeting
Create a fulfilling life - TeaCircle
Create a fulfilling life - TeaCircle
We can still save a few more spots 🪷 Just text the host or join this WhatsApp group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/GmcaSqxOKqrKBeQVkKK2AW?mode=gi_t This Tea Circle is a space to slow down, connect, and explore a deeper sense of fulfillment together. With a cup of tea, guided reflection, and authentic conversation, we create a moment to reconnect with ourselves and each other. **The theme of this tea circle is:** *What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?* Not just successful. Not just productive. But whole. In our fast-paced world many high-performing people achieve a lot, yet still feel something is missing. We are chasing for “more”, often without knowing, what “more” really means to us. Some are chasing healing, assuming they are broken. Some are chasing success, assuming it makes them more valuable. Some are chasing certainty, assuming it makes them more safe. We all experience at some point of our life that we are acting from an inner misconception of incompletion. “Not enough”, “too much”, “not yet”, are all famous expressions of that. The truth is, chasing in the pursuit of fulfillment is like pouring water into a broken bucket. **What to expect:** During the evening we will: • explore the theme Fulfillment & Wholeness • reflect on questions guiding towards deeper insights • connect through guided conversation rounds **Who this is for you, if you are interested in:** • making meaningful connections • personal development & wellbeing • insightful conversations Entrepreneurs, creatives, founders, professionals, and curious minds are all welcome. **Contribution**: 10 € + a beverage order at the restaurant **Reflection theme for this circle:** *Fulfillment & Wholeness* Questions we may explore: • What does fulfillment actually mean to you? • Where in life do you feel most aligned? • What would living more fully look like? You are always free to share as much or as little as you like. **Event flow:** Arrival & welcome Breath, tea orders Guided reflection rounds Closing integration Casual conversations if you would like to stay longer **About Libatea** Libatea is a community exploring liberation through reflection, conversation, and community. We host weekly tea circles and monthly masterminds that bring together thoughtful people interested in personal growth, wellbeing, and meaningful connection. **Join our WhatsApp Group:** [https://chat.whatsapp.com/GmcaSqxOKqrKBeQVkKK2AW?mode=gi_t](https://chat.whatsapp.com/GmcaSqxOKqrKBeQVkKK2AW?mode=gi_t) **Why tea?** Tea rituals have been used for centuries to create presence and connection. By slowing down and sharing tea together, we create a simple but powerful setting for connection, reflection and insight. If the 10 seats are full, send a message to the host Bella, you may still be able to join us! :)

Cloud Native Vienna: March 2026 Meetup
Cloud Native Vienna: March 2026 Meetup
KubeCon is around the corner, and to get you in the mood for this, you get the next **Cloud Native Vienna Meetup** \- and this time\, we’re stepping into the "Upside Down\." Join us at [karriere.at](karriere.at) for an evening of deep-dive technical sessions and high-bandwidth networking. Whether you're hunting for Demogorgons in your logs or just trying to scale your Internal Developer Platform, we’ve got you covered. Agenda: * 17:30 - Doors Open * 17:55 - Welcome from the Organizers * 18:00 - Talk 1: Manav Singh ([karriere.at](www.karriere.at)) - homelabbing@karriere.at - Enabling Devs to Break the Cloud * 18:45 - Break / Networking * 19:00 - Talk 2: Andi Grabner ([Dynatrace](www.dynatrace.com)) - Stranger Platform Engineering: The Two Sides of Observability in Your IDP * 19:45 - Networking \-\-\- Manav Singh **Homelabbing@karriere.at - Enabling Devs to Break the Cloud** \-\-\-\- Andi Grabner **Stranger Platform Engineering: The Two Sides of Observability in Your IDP** Your Internal Developer Platform lives in two worlds. In the **Right Side Up**, developers rely on self‑service observability to build, deploy, operate and debug their apps. In the **Upside Down**, the platform itself must be observable to ensure its reliability, performance, and to understand usage patterns and adoption. **The twist?** these two worlds are not separate. Improving observability *of* the platform directly improves the observability *for* the applications built on top of it. Just like in *Stranger Things*, observability becomes the force that connects both realities—creating feedback loops, strengthening the platform’s foundations, and enabling teams to spot issues before they cross between worlds. This talk reveals why mastering both sides of observability is essential for any modern IDP. Expect real-world examples, a few supernatural analogies, and practical guidance you can bring back to your platform team—no Demogorgon hunting required

Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast! Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45. We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier. Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup. Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Extended Photography Workshop: Light, Seeing & Composition
Extended Photography Workshop: Light, Seeing & Composition
*Light is the subject. Everything else supports it.* **Extended Photography Workshop** Date: Saturday, 14 March (14.03.2026) Start: 16:00 Duration: approx. 4.5 hours Location\*\*:\*\* Vienna (exact meeting point shared after booking) *** This workshop is built around the transition from daylight to night. We’ll work with natural light first and then move into controlled artificial light, allowing you to experience how different light sources shape mood, contrast, and meaning. This workshop is focused on light — how to recognise it, shape it, and use it intentionally. In the first part, we’ll work with natural light, contrast, direction, and colour, and how these elements influence mood and meaning in a photograph. The second half will be dedicated to working with artificial light, as that helps even further to understand how to work with light. During the workshop I keep the focus on perception: learning to notice light before you lift the camera, and understanding how composition supports it. You’ll learn how to simplify scenes, work with shadows, and make conscious choices rather than reacting to what’s in front of you. The workshop is crucial as even professionals often do not use light to the full potential and I’ve seen many times when people working as photographers are forgetting about the most fundamental and complex part of it – light! Photo is light and here I explain ways to use it to your advantage ###### During the workshop you’ll * observe and analyse light before taking a photograph * practice seeing contrast, direction, and colour in real situations * shoot guided exercises focused on light, not subjects * review images together and talk through decisions * learn how to approach unfamiliar scenes with a clear visual intention ###### After the workshop You should feel more confident recognising good light, making deliberate choices, and understanding why you take a photograph — not just how. To book this workshop you can get in touch through my contact form. Please note that a 50% prepayment is required to secure your spot \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **To book the workshop and learn more about it you can visit:** [https://www.phfedorvasilev.com/photography-workshops-in-vienna/](https://www.phfedorvasilev.com/photography-workshops-in-vienna/) **And get in touch to book:** [https://www.phfedorvasilev.com/contact/](https://www.phfedorvasilev.com/contact/)

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for March is "Our Bodies, Ourselves" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!

Shut Up & Write!® Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Sunday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at noon on Sundays. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 12:00 - quick intros. 12:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 1:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 1-1:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you! • What to bring Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible. See you at The Café on Sunday!
