When Man-su (Lee), a paper industry expert with 25 years of experience, gets made redundant, his whole world begins to crumble. As his family reduces their lifestyles to accommodate for Man-su’s unemployment, they become at risk of losing their house as he’s unable to find another career position. After a year of working a dead-end job, he applies for Moon Paper, his previous company’s rival, and to ensure he gets the position, he sets out to eliminate the other applicants. Darkly comedic and ingeniously made, Park’s NO OTHER CHOICE is a masterpiece of social commentary about work culture and climbing the corporate ladder.
