**For ages 17 and above.** There are two types of waltzes that are performed in most ballrooms - the Slow Waltz and the Viennese Waltz. The classical Viennese Waltz is a quick ballroom dance that involves the dancers swirling around the whole dance floor, seemingly without touching the ground. The slightly easier Slow Waltz is a favourite dance among beginners and social dancers. **For ages 14 and above.** The Bachata is a dance from the Caribbean and Dominican Republic, and it began as a very basic dance. **For ages 4 and above.** Beginner classes will emphasize on fundamental skating techniques which will equip you with basic skills such as stopping, turning and speed control. Intermediate classes will tap onto the basics and expand the skills with diverse alternatives that will bring you to the next level of skating independently. Expert classes are for students with the bare minimum for outdoor skating and would like to take it to a higher level. There is no fixed number of classes for each level as we understand the learning rate of every individual varies. Stylized strides dominate this dance, along with periodical sharp and staccato movements. Tango’s passionate nature evokes a strong connection to the music, your partner and the audience, a dance that is exciting and often easy to learn. **For ages 14 and above.** Cha Cha is a fun and lively dance that gets your heart pumping on the dance floor. It's similar to Mambo and Rumba, although it replaces the “slow step” of both dances with a triple step. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
