Full Circle
Full Circle is a community of practice where mental health and wellbeing professionals come together to learn, share, and grow.
âIf youâre a mental health or wellbeing practitioner who thrives on shared wisdom and community, Full Circle offers a space where you can connect, grow, and bring fresh insights back into your client work.
â**Full Circle is for professionals who work with clients in mental health or wellbeing** (e.g. psychotherapists, counsellors, art therapists, coaches, and others integrating mindâbody approaches) .
âA community of practice is a space where we come together as professionals to share our experiences, challenges, and insights, not to be taught, but to learn from each other.
Full Circle is about connection, not workshops. Itâs a circle of peers, not a classroom.
â**By registering for this event, you agree to stand by our shared principles:**
* âConfidentiality: What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
* âPresence: We give our full attention to each other, listening deeply.
* âRespect: Every voice matters; we value different perspectives and approaches.
* âCuriosity: We come to explore, not to give definitive answers.
* âContribution: Everyone is encouraged to share practices, cases, and reflections.
* âCommitment: We show up consistently, knowing the community grows through regular participation.
â**How our gatherings work**:
âWe gather **once a month** in person, and every time we move through the same process:
* â*Check-in*: We begin by going around the circle, with each person sharing whatâs present for them in the moment.
* â*Shared practice*: One member of the community leads the group through a method, exercise, or embodied practice from their own field. Everyone experiences it first-hand.
* â*Integration dialogue*: Together, we explore what the practice brought up and how it might be woven into our client work.
* â*Check-out*: Each person shares one insight they will carry with them.
What Is Knowledge? How Do We Know Anything?
What does it mean to *know* something?
We often say things like âI know this is true,â but philosophy asks a deeper question: what separates knowledge from mere belief? If someone believes something that happens to be true, is that already knowledge â or is something more required?
In this meetup we will explore some of the central questions of **epistemology**, the philosophical study of knowledge:
* What is the difference between **belief**, **truth**, and **knowledge**?
* Do we need **justification** in order to know something?
* Can we ever be certain about anything?
* Could we be radically mistaken about the world â dreaming, deceived, or living in a perfect illusion?
* Is it possible that **knowledge itself might be impossible**?
Philosophical skepticism raises the unsettling possibility that we might never truly know anything at all. If all our beliefs could in principle be mistaken, what would count as genuine knowledge?
We may also briefly discuss famous philosophical puzzles, such as the **Gettier problem**, which challenges the traditional definition of knowledge as *justified true belief*.
No prior knowledge of philosophy is required. The goal is not to reach final answers but to explore the problem together through open discussion.
Bring your curiosity â and perhaps a few things you think you know.

Beginners Ukulele Lesson & Play-A-Long
**14:00 to 15:30 - Beginners Uke Session**
We will take you from zero to playing your first song in around 30 mins, and by the end of our session you will have enough of the basics to join in with our jam session. We have spare ukuleles if you donât have one of your own.
**15:30 to 17:30 - Jam Session Part 1**
As more experienced players turn up, we will play a range of songs which everyone can join in with.
This is when the sing-a-long / play-a-long really starts. The second part of this session often has a theme around an artists, genre or season. Each song has an instrumental section, and we encourage people to improvise, harmonise or just to play it as they feel it.
**17:30 to 18:00 - Food Break**
Grab something from the menu, chat to your fellow players, meet new people. Look through the song book. Start playing random stuff.
**18:00 to 20:00 - Jam Session Part 2**
We will play some more advanced songs. The last part of the session is requests from the jam group.
Come and join us for a play-a-long jam. We will be based in the cellar bar at Iguana on Mannerheimintie. We keep it simple ... we put the words and chords on laptop. Please bring a tablet if you have one so you can also access the songbook at ukejam.online ... or you can use one of our TV screens we will have dotted around the place.
We will have a limited number of spare ukuleles and guitars. If you don't play anything, you are welcome to come and just hangout, sing if you want to. If you like, pick up a ukulele, and someone will help you play a few simple chords and play along.
If you have your own instrument, it is best to bring it. Also if you have a tablet, you can access the songbook at ukejam.online and then you don't have to stare at the TV screen all night.
Everyone is welcome ... we also have a community WhatsApp group that you can join when you come to the event.
We aim to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Beginners and experienced musicians are equally welcome.

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
**Abstract**
Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively.
This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. Weâll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from serverâdriven controls, and why theyâre becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether youâre maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, youâll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standardsâbased way.

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started â but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.
*For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)*
**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
