Y is for You Are Here @ Southbank Centre LATE
**Join us at *'You Are Here' at the Southbank Centre*,** **an epic, one-off, pop-culture spectacular that invites you on an electrifying journey through 75 years of British music, dance, theatre, fashion and film.**
Follow the performance as it unfolds around you in an on-the-move theatrical journey where every corner holds a new story.
This is a freewheeling journey of discovery that traces through-lines across decades, remixing and reimagining some of the most vivid and influential youth and social movements that have driven culture forward since 1951.
Rebellion meets euphoria as a cast of hundreds take you on a trip through punk, grime, northern soul, acid house, dancehall and disco โ from the swaying of a tea dance to the beating heart of a superclub. Astonishing performers bring the energy of resistance, freedom and creation to every moment.
Marking the centrepiece of the Southbank Centreโs 75th anniversary celebrations, *You Are Here* is an exhilarating, full-throated celebration of cultural life that asks where weโve been, where weโre at and how weโll choose to shape where we want to go next.
Created by Danny Boyle, Gareth Pugh, Carson McColl, Sabrina Mahfouz and Paulette Randall.

'The Coming of Age' exhibition @ the Wellcome Collection!
Come along on Sunday 3rd May for a visit to the Wellcome Collection to see a new exhibition on 'the Coming of Age'.
**About the exhibition**
โThe Coming of Ageโ exhibition explores experiences and perceptions of ageing, from adolescence to later life, and asks how societies can adapt for us all to age better.
Across the globe, people are living longer. One in ten children in the UK are expected to live beyond the age of 100. But who gets to live longer and โage wellโ? This exhibition explores how experiences of age are shaped by our environment, culture and society.
The exhibition features more than 120 artworks and objects, from historical artefacts to works by contemporary artists.
It brings together different perspectives from art, science and popular culture, challenging assumptions about life stages and asks what greater longevity means for all of us.

Market to Market 2.0: Leisure 7miles Stroll and Lunch
Join us for a relaxed, 6 or 7-mile (10 / 11.5km) urban hike connecting two of London's most iconic craft and contemporary hubs. Weโll start amidst the crafts/antiques of **Camden Market** and wind our way through the heart of the city to the vibrant shops/**markets at Battersea Power Plant**.
This is a **leisurely walk** designed for socialising and sight-seeing, not a race! Weโll be moving at a comfortable pace with plenty of opportunities for photos, if needed. Besides is nice to stay active in moderation and I personally needed a walk at weekend!
A Malaysian (or non-Malaysian) lunch or even grab a sandwich in and around the park.
Also easy to call-off to any nearby tube station along the stroll! If you need to leave early.
Meeting point: Chalk Farm Station Exit (single exit station)

London Society CHILL - Regents Park
Have you ever wanted to get together outdoors and chill out amongst good company whilst being immersed within nature & amazing weather? If so, then this is the right event for you.
Welcome to one of the first CHILL events where you have the opportunity to settle in the parks, form friendships, socialise, have a picnic and so much more whilst being immersed within the luscious greenery, botanicals and the gorgeous weather.
โฉโฉWith this particular chill event, we will be settling in the inner circle gardens of Regentโs Park. The inner circle has some beautiful botanicals and some lovely greenery to settle on which is really ideal for relaxing, having a picnic and even being amongst good company.
Depending on the aura and if the event goes well, we may do an aftermath and let democracy decide.
My fellow explorers, if you enjoyed the event, Iโm more than happy to accept any donations which of course are optional but will go a long way to help me unlock and deliver even more exciting and engaging events and resources: https://www.paypal.me/calvinjoy
โฉโฉWHAT - Chill in Regents ParkโจWHERE - Regents ParkโจWHEN - 4pm - 9pmโจMEETING POINT - Regents ParkโจNEAREST STATIONS - Baker Street & Great Portland Street StationsโจREQUIREMENTS - Just your good behaviour is all and whatever is listed above for the walk. Maybe bring your ID if we do an aftermath.
Disclaimers:
Please be on your best behaviour and respect one another. This group doesnโt tolerate any misbehaviour and misconduct. Should such a thing take place, you will be removed.
If you ask a question that either already has the answer to it or doesnโt relate to the event at all, I wonโt respond.
Whenever an event takes place, I will cut off contact 20 minutes after the event commences. If you message even 1 minute after the cut off time, I wonโt be available as Iโm conducting the event.
There will be photography and videography by myself so if you are photo conscious and/or do not want to be in the video, do kindly inform me and Iโll try my utmost best to not involve you in the picture.

F\*ck the Small Talk has travelled the world across Berlin, Mexico City, Melbourne, Lisbon, Medellin, Vienna, and now back to London for its 3rd year in a row! ๐
**๐ฆ WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?**
FTST is a **one-of-a-kind social experience** where strangers come together for an afternoon of meaningful, fun, and deep conversation. Itโs also a different & cool way of meeting new people by getting a bit out of your comfort zone and skipping the small talk!
Join us for **games**, **talks**, and **connections** with **friends you havenโt met yet**. Join if you get annoyed after being asked what you do, where you are from, and how long you've been in London every single time you meet someone. If you feel that there are better questions in life, this is the place for you. ๐
**๐ HOW DOES IT WORK?**
We start with a short & sweet intro talk followed by a few light-hearted group games to warm up. After that, we split you up into small groups and start with the conversation rounds (with 3-4 people). We'll have awesome question cards that will guide the flow of the conversation. Youโll never have to speak in public if you donโt want to.
**๐ฃ NOTE**: We won't validate your payment unless you've been accepted! (which you most likely will โค๏ธ)

**๐ WHAT THEY SAY**
๐ฃ โThis is the kind of activity humanity needs every weekend. Thank you for all.โ - Sonya
๐ฃ โF\*ck the Small Talk changes the narrative from "Where are you from?" to "When was the last time you laughed uncontrollably?" and I think that's beautiful.โ - Monika
๐ฃ โI loved F\*ck the small talk, I was a little bit nervous at first but they are pros at making you feel comfortable with the rest of the group, the activities are really fun and I enjoyed every second (consider that the one who's saying this is very, very shy). Give it a try!โ - Brenda
๐ฃ โLively, interesting, introspective, completely open, and no judgment. Everyone that joined was ready for great conversation and helped with different perspectives. So much fun! I can't wait for the next one! โ - Yaz

๐ค FAQ
**โข Can I come alone?**
Of course, in fact, we encourage it!
**โข Can I be late?**
Please don't! "Doors" open at 11:45am and we start at exactly 12:00pm! Late arrivals will disrupt the floooooooow.
**โข I signed up but never got an invite. Why?**
We usually get a high volume of sign-ups yet we like to keep it cozy & only invite around 25 people. We believe this is a good number to ensure an awesome experience, and weโve learned that itโs easier to build connections with smaller groups! Please try again next time if do not receive an invite - no hard feelings ๐
**โข Why do you charge?**
We value our time and put a lot of love, planning, and effort into creating & designing these experiences. ๐ This is our project/business and what we give to the world and we think everything should be a fair exchange! ๐ However, money should never be the reason for people not to attend. If you canโt afford it simply get in touch with us :)
**โข I'm digging this! Can I get involved somehow?**
Sure thing, send us a message!
**โข Can I bring my pet (llama)?**
100% yes (depends on the venue, ask us!)

Capital Ring Part 13 - Stoke Newington to Hackney Wick
We will be walking section 13 out of 15 of the Capital Ring walk. Starting from Stoke Newington station, we will walk through Springfield park and alongside the river Lea, before finishing at Hackney Wick train station. This section of the capital ring is one of the shorter sections and fairly level, we will be walking for approximately one and three quarter hours with a break in between. It can get muddy so bring suitable footwear and clothing if it looks like rain or has been raining.
I'll keep a watch on the forecast and will cancel the event a day or two before if the weather is looking bad, so keep an eye on the event chat which I'll update a day or two before to confirm we are going ahead.
We will meet just outside Stoke Newington station at 10:45. Unless there is a transport issue affecting everyone, we will aim to start off on the walk at 11am. I will add my location tracking on Glympse so if you are late, we will not wait but you will be able to catch us up.
After the walk at Hackney Wick I am planning on heading to a local pub, the Lord Napier Star, for a drink and a bite to eat. The last time I came here they did a good Sunday Roast, if you are up for coming along please indicate in the comments. I'm estimating we would reach the end of the walk at Hackney Wick for about 12:30pm.
Kings Cross to Little Venice & Waterways Festival
Join us for an approximately 5 mile walk from Kings Cross Station along Regents Canal to Little Venice where we will enjoy this year's [canalways cavalcade](https://waterways.org.uk/support/ways-to-get-involved/events/iwa-canalway-cavalcade-2026), the celebration of London's boating community. There will be music, food and drink and potentially even Morris Dancing.
The scenic walk along the Regent's Canal should take us under 2 hours and you will have to be fit to attend this walk.
The festival is always very busy and we will therefore split up into smaller groups once there to be able to move around.
We are going to meet at the [birdcage](https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo/birdcage-kings-cross.html?sortBy=relevant) at Kings Cross station. That is close to the Germany Gymnasium, outside Kings Cross underground station.

CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers
A year ago, โagentic AIโ was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective.
This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly.
Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
Version Control for Unity
This meetup is a beginner-friendly session introducing version control for Unity projects, with a look at three common tools: Git, Perforce, and Unity Version Control. The goal is to help you understand what version control is, why it matters for Unity development, and what options are out there.
The format will likely be presentation-style, with live demos and time for questions throughout. You'll see each tool in action and learn how they fit into a Unity workflow.
What to Expect:
* An introduction to version control and why it's essential for Unity projects
* An overview of Git, Perforce, and Unity Version Control
* Demos of each tool in a Unity workflow
* Tips for getting started
* No prior version control experience required
* Resources for continued learning
All experience levels are welcome. Whether you're new to version control or already using one of these tools, this session will help you understand what each one offers.
Food and drinks provided. Join us to learn more about version control options for Unity.
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs.
This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context.
We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing.
