On stage, everyday people from Berlin share true, personal stories, told live and without notes. No acting. No fiction. Just real experiences, shared in a warm, cozy atmosphere. You don’t need to know anyone. You don’t need to be “into storytelling.” **Just come, listen, and be part of the room.** **🔥 What to expect** • 8 short, true stories (about 5–7 minutes each) • Live music throughout the night • A relaxed, welcoming audience • Laughter, honesty, and moments of quiet connection **We start as strangers — and often leave feeling a little closer.** **Want to tell a story?** Put your name in the hat! We’ll draw names randomly throughout the night. If you’re a newcomer, don’t worry—we love first-time voices and offer supportive coaching to help you find your hook. **Audience Question:** *Who is a woman you’ll never forget, and how did she change the way you see the world?* ## **Our Mission** ## *THE BEAR* **has grown into one of Berlin’s most beloved live storytelling events: a place where strangers become a community through the simple act of listening.** Supported by: [THE BEAR e.V. ](https://deref-web.de/mail/client/3fe0d0dh9KM/dereferrer/?redirectUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fthebear-storytelling.us6.list-manage.com%2Ftrack%2Fclick%3Fu%3Db5d7f087b587f8f081c447437%26id%3Dfc0e2d8df3%26e%3D711d4db9af), [Moving-Speaker.com](https://www.moving-speaker.com/), [Female Speaking Berlin](https://www.femalespeakingberlin.com/), and [Experience Berlin Youtube Channel](https://www.youtube.com/@Berlin-Videos).

12MIN.ME | BERLIN | STARTUP #1.3 🚀
**🚨🚨🚨 ATTENTION: we moved to luma. please RVSP [HERE](https://luma.com/12min.me_Berlin)🚨🚨🚨** # [12min.me](https://12min.me/) START UP is a brand new morning format for bold ideas and fresh perspectives Berlin Startup Community, we’re launching something new. Together with betahaus, we’re bringing the [12min.me](http://12min.me/) spirit into the morning. [12min.me](http://12min.me/) STARTUP is a three-part breakfast series, embedded in the well-known betabreakfast format. Instead of three speakers in one evening, we do things differently. One morning. One speaker. One focused impulse. 12 minutes. One voice. Zero fluff. Join us for the first edition of [12min.me](http://12min.me/) STARTUP, a compact morning session for founders, operators, creatives and everyone building things that matter. **✔️ What to expect** * One inspiring startup-related talk * 12 minutes of sharp insight * Curated exchange over breakfast * The familiar [12min.me](http://12min.me/) energy, just earlier in the day# 🚀 **The formula stays the same** * 12 minutes talk * 12 minutes of Q&A * 12 minutes of networking The familiar [12min.me](http://12min.me/) energy, just earlier in the day **🎤 Our speakers** **Speaker 1 @March 5** **[Jonathan Hegel](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jonathan-beisiegel) from [FW Systems](https://www.linkedin.com/company/frachtwerk/)** Jonathan is the CEO of FW Systems, a specialized system house for open source solutions and IT services with a fixed-price model. After years in traditional IT, where he regularly had to work night shifts due to emergencies, he decided to do things better—for customers and for IT professionals. Today, he help SMEs transform their IT from a constant work in progress to a reliable infrastructure they can depend on. **Jonathan\`s talk: "How we are completely rethinking system administration as a service for your company"** Companies cannot possibly do everything themselves. So things like accounting, logistics, and IT are outsourced to external service providers. In the IT sector, system houses have been doing very well for themselves in recent decades! Every little thing is charged for, and if there are any errors, the customer is expected to open a ticket. We are rethinking this! We are applying the “as-a-service” concept from Airbnb, Uber, and Everstox to system administration and taking responsibility. Jonathan will show how this works in his talk. **Speaker 2 @March 12** **[Anne Biedermann](https://www.linkedin.com/in/anne-biedermann/), independent wealth partner for women** Anne has extensive experience across venture capital, single-family-office & HNWI investing, and early-stage operations. She works with investors who are building, inheriting, or stewarding wealth on how to allocate capital with clarity — particularly where venture capital intersects with long-term wealth strategy. Anne also invests personally, giving her a practitioner’s perspective on capital allocation decisions. **Anna\`s talk: "Not All Capital Is the Same: Decoding Investor Behavior"** Founders often assume all investors evaluate risk, timelines, and returns the same way and that assumption is costly. This session breaks down how funds, family offices, and individual investors actually make decisions, where founder–investor misalignment typically begins, and how founders can better position themselves for the right kind of capital, not just any capital. **Speaker 3 @March 19** **[Immo Ait Stapelfeld](https://www.linkedin.com/in/immoaitstapelfeld/), Co-Founder & CEO at [913.ai](https://913.ai)** **"From Legal Complexity to Practical AI. How We Help Regulated Industries Use AI Without Losing Control"** This presentation tells the story of Immo’s transition from a trained lawyer working in mass proceedings to an entrepreneur building AI products for regulated industries. His legal background, combined with hands-on experience as a founder, shaped a pragmatic view on AI. not as a disruptive replacement, but as a controlled and compliant tool. At[ ](http://913.ai)[913.ai](https://913.ai), this perspective enables conservative organizations such as insurers to enter the AI era in a way that respects regulation, responsibility, and existing teams while still unlocking real efficiency gains. 📅 **The series at a glance** [12min.me](http://12min.me/) STARTUP consists of three independent sessions. Please follow the luma link for registration: * [March 5, 2025](https://luma.com/yo32qaud) * [March 12, 2025](https://luma.com/y0wytmck) * [March 19, 2025](https://luma.com/cucrx8is) Each session has its own Luma page and can be attended individually. 📍**Event details for the whole series** * **Location**: betahaus Kreuzberg, Rudi-Dutschke-Straße 23, 10969 Berlin * **Time**: Doors open 9:30, Start 10:00, End 11:00 * **Entry**: Free entry including breakfast and drinks * **RSVP:** via [Lu.ma](http://lu.ma/) to save your spot as spots are limited **Why mornings** Because good ideas don’t only happen after work. Rust Berlin on location 🏳️‍🌈 - Edition 012
Rust Berlin on location 🏳️‍🌈 - Edition 012
**Rust Berlin on location 🏳️‍🌈** is a new, informal in-person Rust meetup group in Berlin. We are a interactive meetup format interested in mob coding, deep diving and problem solving together. We build toy projects, share experiences, discuss technology and learn new cool stuff. And you are welcome to join! No matter if you are writing Rust production code every day, if you already contribute to Open Source projects or want to start doing so, if you use Rust in hobby projects or if you are just curious what the hype and buzz is all about, you are very welcome! To coordinate and plan activities, please join our **[Rust Berlin on location 🏳️‍🌈](https://rust-berlin.zulipchat.com/join/gap4pdbz7xsquliiz7tgcyuk/)**[ Zulip chat](https://rust-berlin.zulipchat.com/join/gap4pdbz7xsquliiz7tgcyuk/)! **Planned programme** Being an informal meetup, we are open to anything between just meet and talk, explore nerd snipes and rabbit holes, mob code together, plan and build fun projects, tinker with electronics, and presentations with Q&A. With the [introduction](https://berline.rs/2026/04/01/berlin-talks.html) of the new [Rust Berlin Talks](https://berline.rs/about#rust-berlin-talks) meetup series, **[Rust Berlin on location 🏳️‍🌈](https://berline.rs/about#rust-berlin-on-location)** strengthens its focus on social community experience, the exchange of knowledge, ideas and perspectives, and the joy of spontaneity. This time, we will try a new interactive discussion format: Jonas will introduce the topic of *The Job Market and AI* with an impulse presentation, then open up a moderated discussion with all participants. Let’s see where this hot topic leads us! If someone brings other cool stuff, questions or problems, then let us dedicate the second half of the meetup time to that! Anyone is invited to bring their projects and questions, show something, ask something, or explore a topic together. The best conversations and deepest rabbit holes can emerge out of seemingly nowhere. **Projected upcoming meetups** We schedule regular meetups on Thursday evening every four weeks, using the slot between the Berlin Rust Hack and Learn online meetup (every two weeks), and the Rust Nuremberg online meetup (every four weeks). 19 March 2026 is our twelfth meeting. Our next projected meetings are going to occur on the following dates: * 16 Apr 2026 * 14 May 2026 (tentative, public holiday) * 11 Jun 2026 * 9 Jul 2026 * 6 Aug 2026 * 3 Sep 2026 **Location** Our meetup location is the new shared office community space of Ferrous Systems, Slint and KDAB in Berlin Mitte, for up to 25 people. We are expecting to use this space as our default location for the time being, with the IN-Berlin e.V. community space in Moabit as backup. Regardless, as our group might eventually outgrow the locations' size limit, we are low-key looking for bigger locations. If you know a fitting location, then please let us know in our Signal group! Another workable way might be to split the meetup into smaller, interest-specific sub-groups instead. As the no-show rate on Meetup.com is rather high, consider showing up even if you are on the waiting list. We can't promise that there is any space left, but usually there is. So give it a shot! **Accessibility** The location has an elevator and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. Please note that the bathroom is two floors down from the meetup space. On our quest for a bigger location, we are going to pay special attention to accessibility. **Community** We aim to create a safe place for everyone and adhere to the [Berlin Code of Conduct](https://berlincodeofconduct.org/). Inclusivity is very important to us. If you are curious about Rust, but unsure if you are welcome to join: Yes, yes you are. Please come to the meetup! If you have special needs, please get in contact, we will try to accommodate you as best we can. We are part of [https://berline.rs/](https://berline.rs/) and like to hang out in the Berlin Rust Hack and Learn online meetup's [Matrix channel](https://matrix.to/#/!xycQxSjSAvEezkyztA:chat.berline.rs). You are very welcome to join!

The school was founded in the middle of the 15th century by Iizasa Chōisai Ienao at the Katori Shrine (Katori jingū) and has become the origin of numerous other martial arts schools over the course of its almost 600-year history. The training consists of the continuous repetition of fixed sequences of movements (kata) and includes the use of classic Japanese weapons such as the sword (iai-jutsu, battō-jutsu, ken-jutsu, ryōtō-jutsu, kodachi-jutsu), the long staff (bō-jutsu), the lance (naginata-jutsu) and the spear (sō-jutsu), as well as unarmed disciplines, tactics and spiritual aspects. **The Katori Berlin dojo** is the only official shibu of Otake Nobutoshi-shihan’s dojo Shinbukan in Germany and fully dedicated to the transmission and study of one martial tradition: Tenshinshō-den Katori Shintō-ryū. Through these efforts we aim to contribute to the cultural preservation of this martial tradition. The dojo has one officially appointed shidosha. **Our sensei**: Sebastian Graetz has been active in martial arts since 1997. After almost 15 years of taekwondo in Berlin, he started with Katori Shintō-ryū in Asia in 2014. Since then, he has studied in Japan with Ōtake Risuke-shihan and Ōtake Nobutoshi-shihan, and in Vietnam with Malte Stokhof-shihandai. In 2023, he received his Menkyo license and permission to set up a training group in Berlin the following year.

Agentic AI Engineering Lab #4 – Cloud-Native Foundation: The Echo-Agent in a Box
Agentic AI Engineering Lab #4 – Cloud-Native Foundation: The Echo-Agent in a Box
To build truly autonomous systems, we need to move beyond local setups. This session is about **creating a stable, containerized foundation** that allows us to abstract from infrastructure in future sprints. **The Plan:** We will containerize a basic agent and deploy it to Google Cloud Run. This creates a repeatable environment where our results can be hosted, scaled, and accessed via stable endpoints. **This is a "Lab" session. We will:** * **Show & Tell:** Briefly discuss the move from local scripts to containerized services. * **Hands-on Building:** Containerize a Python/FastAPI/JS/TS agent using Docker. * **Cloud Deployment:** Push our images to the cloud and go live on GCP. **The Format** We run our sessions like an anthology series: **Every meetup is a standalone sprint.** While we often build on previous results, each session provides a complete experience and remains fully accessible to first-time attendees. This is a high-density micro-meetup limited to 6 seats. **What you'll build** By the end of the session, you'll have: 1. **A Dockerized Agent:** A portable container containing your agent logic. 2. **A Cloud Deployment:** Your agent running on GCP Cloud Run with a public URL. 3. **Foundation for the Future:** An environment ready for Inter-Agent Communication (Sprint #5). **Schedule (Saturday, 10:00 - 13:00 CET)** * **10:00:** Quick round of introductions. * **10:15:** Intro session: Docker, Containerization, and GCP Basics. * **10:30:** **Build time:** Hands-on experimentation and Cloud Deployment. * **12:00:** Live demos + technical teardown. * **12:45:** Wrap-up + takeaways. **Prerequisites** * **Google Account:** Essential for GCP access and project setup. * **Laptop with dev setup:** Docker installed and working. * **Access to an LLM API:** (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, etc.). * **Mindset:** This is a lab for engineers, not a tutorial. We learn by building, breaking, and iterating. **Logistics** * **Location:** We meet at my office in the Grunewald area near Martin-Luther-Krankenhaus. The exact address will be shared privately with attendees to maintain privacy. * **Capacity:** Limited to 6 seats.

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for March is "Our Bodies, Ourselves" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
ServiceNow's Got Talent
ServiceNow's Got Talent
Builders, creators, architects, admins, consultants - come one, come all. This one's for you. We're bringing a little friendly competition to the Columbus ServiceNow community while highlighting the cool things people have built on the platform. Five presenters will take the stage to showcase something they've built, solved, designed, or imagined on the ServiceNow platform - and a panel of judges (plus YOU, our amazing audience) will score them live. So basically, America's Got Talent but make it ServiceNow's Got Talent. Bring a notepad if you'd like 'cause you'll definitely be learning something new. Each presenter gets 10 minutes max to wow the crowd with: • A demo • A real-world business solution • A bold idea • A UX transformation • Or a creative use of the platform Judging Criteria: 🏆 Business Value 🚀 Innovation ✨ User Experience This event is about celebrating ideas, sharing knowledge, and showing how ServiceNow can drive both business impact and meaningful user value. Come learn. Come support. Come get inspired. Refreshments and bites will be provided. And maybe next time… you’ll be on stage.

Art Night - Bring Your Own Work
Art Night - Bring Your Own Work
Welcome to the Art School - 20's & 30's artists Meetup group! This is a community for young artists who are passionate about exploring different mediums and techniques in the world of art. Whether you're a painter, sculptor, photographer, or mixed media artist, this group is the perfect place to connect with like-minded individuals, have a space to work on your craft, and showcase your work. Let's inspire and support each other on our artistic journeys! Whether you're a novice or a seasoned artist, all skill levels are welcome. Join us and unleash your creativity! This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.
