**Hello everyone,** Looking for a regular dance class? **ASK FOR YOUR** **TRIAL CLASS // FROM SEPTEMBER 2025 TO JUNE 2026** If you’re thinking about bringing contemporary or jazz dance into your weekly routine, I’m teaching in Gràcia at two different studios. There are 7 groups in total, ranging from complete beginners to advanced dancers. Classes take place in: Gràcia (metro Joanic / Fontana) Wednesdays / 18:30 - 20:00 (contemporary beginners - intermediate) / 20:15 - 21:45 (contemporary intermediate - advanced) Gràcia (metro Lesseps / Fontana) Thursdays / 18:30 - 20:00 (contemporary beginners - intermediate) / 20:00 - 21:30 (jazz all levels) Fridays / 10:00 - 11:30 (contemporary complete beginners) / 11:30 - 13:00 (contemporary intermediate) / 13:30 - 15:00 (contemporary intermediate - advanced) You’ll be joining an existing, multicultural and mixed-level group. Classes are offered in English, Spanish, and French if needed. My approach blends improvisation, coordination, cardio, and body quality work — with a focus on **sensation over form**. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
