We have reserved the Chicester Room in ther pub for us . Please ask for Philosophy cafe at the door and they will direct you .
We like to break into small groups and have a healthy discussion about life , philosophy and ideas .

There is no specific topic list and you do not need to read or know anything particular about philosophy .
The official time is 7-9: 30 pm , but we usually go into a pub mode after 9:30 pm and continue our discusssions.

freeCodeCamp Wed 14th Jan 2026
Hello code campers! Hello and Happy New Year!
Good news, we're back at [Wimbletech](https://wimbletech.com/) on **Wed 14th Jan**, **6.15PM** to help you meet those New Year coding resolutions! š If you are looking to further your coding knowledge, meet new friends or both, we got you āŗļø, come and join us!
For this evening, we'll be looking at how to use some of the advance GitHub functionalities, specifically we are going to look at how to use GH Actions ( aka GH CI/CD ) to perform automatic deployments, unit testing scripts and so on. This session will be suitable for all levels - even if you are a beginner, you can use a simple GH action to create something like your portfolio website using GH Pages or if you are an advanced dev you will learn about all the subtleties of GH from managing branches (branch protection) to running Enterprise machines or finding ways to reduce the cost of running GH actions either by optimising your deployments or getting rid of GitHub altogether.
Remember, this meetup is open to all coding levels - just bring your enthusiasm to learn and share, and a laptop.
Agenda:
**18:15 - 18:30 Arrival & Networking**
Mingle with fellow developers.
**18:30 - 18:50 Introductions**
Very quick recap of our last workshop about GH branches. Everyone is encouraged to contribute, even if you did not attend previous meetups, or are new to coding or an experienced developer.

Workshop on GitHub actions - introduction and how to use them.
**20:30 - 21:00 Wrap-up**
News about our next meetup, then decamp to the local pub.

Spots are filling fast ā donāt miss out on the fun times!
Software ate the world, Agents are eating Software Engineering
2026 may be the last year many developers write code by hand. We need coding agents to solve complex problems in production codebases, but vibe coding alone wonāt get us there. Vibe coding is all gas, no brakes. It burns up the context window until the agent slips on its own slop. You can go fast at first, but the more you stuff into the context window, the more tangled its outputs get. While the industry is rapidly increasing code generation speed, we still have to understand, review, merge, and maintain what gets shipped.
This talk will outline how coding agents (Claude Code + Gas Town) work and a framework for orchestrating them to solve complicated problems in complex codebases. Itās about steering the model: doing the research to align intent, planning the approach up front, implementing in parallel steps, and breaking early. Human judgment still matters, but it should be spent on high-leverage decisions: what to build, what to forbid, and āwhat is quality?ā, not cleaning up slop. Attendees will leave with a checklist to identify workflow and environment gaps that hold agents back, so you and your team can ship higher-quality software starting tomorrow.
