**The Talbot Room at the George Inn** The George provides the room free of charge (they are awesome), and we encourage you to purchase drinks (and food – the burgers are great!). As it’s a pub and not a picnic area, please don’t consume your own food and drink there. We usually meet in the Talbot room which is on the top floor on the left hand side of the pub as viewed from the courtyard. If lost please send a message here shortly before the meeting starts. **We are sorry to say that there is no step-free access to the Talbot room, and it is at the end of three flights of stairs.** **Format** We start at 7pm and run until 9pm. We hear approximately six readings of 10 minutes (\~2000 words), then discuss the piece for 10 minutes. Email your work to: london60transmitter@emailitin.com as an attachment (It must be an attachment). A link for access to googledocs will be given at the start of each session to enable people to read along, which in turn enables more considered feedback. Work submitted will be automatically deleted after 10 days. We decide on readers/pieces at the beginning of each session. **Safe and respectful space** The group is run by volunteers, and we don’t have the capacity to read submitted work in advance. If there is anything in your work that might distress or disturb some readers, for example concerning any kind of abuse, please give a trigger warning before you read. Be specific and concise. If it becomes apparent during a reading that a piece is inappropriate, the moderator will stop the reading. In discussing others’ work, please be mindful of how you express yourself and do not use discriminatory language, even if such language features in the piece.

Dear all, this is an interesting walk with plenty to see, and well worth doing. We will meet at 10.45 am at Grove Park Station, and then walk from there to the Ringway Centre as image above. {You can get to Grove Park Station by train from Cannon Street, Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo East.} My friend is making a dairy and gluten free cake and with a hot drink will charge only £3. After our hot drink and cake we will make our way to Chinbrook Meadows, then through woodland in Elmstead Woods. Our walk will then take us past 2 railway stations, Elmstead Woods, then Chislehurst, along more woodland and river trails and across three railway bridges until we reach Petts Wood, where our walk will end. Walking distance 6 miles. Lunch will be at The Sovereign of The Seas, a Wetherspoons pub, or you can bring our own. Join us for social bridge without the formality of a tournament. All abilities welcome. Advice on bidding and play is available to those who are still learning the basics. We are privileged to be hosted by Asia and her team at the Cool Carrot, whose curries, cakes, beers and wines I can vouch for! There is a £1 fee to cover Meetup fees (or £5 per year) and there is no table fee provided you spend at least £10 in the café (otherwise £5).

Join us for social bridge at Nightingale Place, Clapham SW4 9AH. All standards welcome including experienced players but also new players, returners and refreshers. Very welcoming group. Let’s walk the gardens and enjoy what has spring has on display.

We will hike the Ridge Trail and Meadows Trail twice, for a total of 3.8 miles. There are some pretty good inclines so plan on getting a cardio workout :). This is a loop which is pretty easy to follow; thus faster walkers can take the lead and the rest (like me) will bring up the rear at a slightly slower pace. You could also just do the loop once for 1.9 miles. No one left behind. Optional lunch to follow in Canal Winchester. I'm working through the metro parks - this is the third one!
