So muss er sich isolieren. Er wird für andere zu einem unsympathischen Menschen. Die Liebe zu der Cellistin Valerie und das plötzliche Auftauchen einer 16-jährigen Tochter bringt die Einschränkungen seiner Lebenslinie besonders deutlich zum Ausdruck. Er wird darauf humorvoll darauf gestossen, dass eine Gefühlswandlung bei ihm ansteht. Die Unterstellung, dass er ein guter Mensch ist, hilft ihm dabei, nach und nach Freude daran zu entwickeln, für andere Menschen Interesse entwickeln zu können, zu helfen und darin Genugtuung und Beziehung zu anderen Menschen zu erleben.
