🎯 Archery Social Club – April 25th Meet 🎯 Hey everyone! I’m so excited to invite you to our very first Archery Social Club meet on April 25th! This is a space for people in their 20s to come together, learn archery, practice, and just have a good time outdoors 💪🏾✨ ✨ This is a FREE event and the park is FREE to enter! ✨ Whether you’re a complete beginner or already experienced, you’re more than welcome! I’ll be helping beginners get comfortable with the basics, while experienced archers can practice, connect, and even help others grow. Join Atheists Helping the Homeless DC at our monthly distribution event! Atheists Helping the Homeless is a 501(c)(3) charity that distributes items like backpacks, socks, gloves, and toiletries to people in need throughout the Washington, DC region. We meet up on the second Saturday of every month outside of a homeless shelter in Silver Spring, MD, called Progress Place, and pass out whatever items we have to whoever is there. Each month we serve between 60 - 100 people. Afterwards, we usually go out for breakfast. Our goal is to provide a way for people to help each other without affiliating with a religion. Our method is to go straight to those in need, and create a welcoming and fun atmosphere to effectively create an environment where secular community can grow and thrive. **Join us for Soul Coffee, an informal gathering where we can connect a bit deeper, check in on each other, and share some real soul conversation together - as always, across beliefs and traditions.** Soul Coffee is a gathering by BreadBreakers, a community for people of all stripes to build meaningful relationships and have curious conversations. **Our mission in BreadBreakers is to be a place of compassion and belonging in a time of division and isolation; to rebuild the town square, one table at a time.** Usually we do this by breaking bread and having facilitated conversations over dinner, but sometimes it's good to just meet over coffee and spend some unstructured time talking about the deep stuff. At each Soul Coffee, we'll keep it simple and talk about three questions: - How's your soul doing? - How have you experienced wonder lately? - What do you need right now? Back by poplar demand! You are invited to join the [Veg Society of DC (VSDC)](http://vsdc.org/) and your fellow LGBTQ+ vegan and veg-curious folks (and their allies this time) at another event where we'll share in community while making collages or otherwise being creative. We'll be meeting at [Southwest Neighborhood Library](https://www.dclibrary.org/plan-visit/southwest-library) (900 Wesley Pl SW, Washington, DC.) in the Large Meeting Room on May 9 from 2:30-4:30pm. The host will bring some magazines, glue, paper, and scissors. There will also be some colored pencils and activity books available as well. Feel free to also bring your own crafting supplies if you'd like, as long as they don't make a mess (no permanent markers, paint, etc.) The host will provide a few vegan snacks as well, but please bring your own water. (The library has strict rules on what refreshments are allowed in the meeting room and they must be pre-approved, so please don't bring in additional food or drink items.) This event is indoors so it will proceed even if it's raining. **Transportation** The library is just a short walk from [Waterfront Metro Station](https://www.wmata.com/rider-guide/stations/waterfront.cfm) on the Green line. There is limited parking in a lot at the library as well as street parking. **WHEN:** Saturday May 9, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. **SPECIAL NOTE:** Because this event is being hosted at a DC public library, it must be open to members of the public and the library's patrons if they care to join. Therefore this event is also open to allies of the LGBTQ+ community. The host will ensure that any drop-in participants adhere to the library's and VSDC's requirements regarding creating a safe space for participants. Kim will lead us through a variety of old and new dances that welcome newbies and delight experienced dancers.** **Roscommon Sessions, a traditional Irish music quartet from Columbus, Ohio, began their musical journey centered around the energy and spontaneity of Irish sessions. This meetup is a beginner-friendly session introducing version control for Unity projects, with a look at three common tools: Git, Perforce, and Unity Version Control. The goal is to help you understand what version control is, why it matters for Unity development, and what options are out there. The format will likely be presentation-style, with live demos and time for questions throughout. You'll see each tool in action and learn how they fit into a Unity workflow.
