Workshop: Cycles of Care
Workshop: Cycles of Care
Hi everyone, I would love to invite you to join us for the first workshop organized by my colleagues and me. It is supported by the University of Zurich and the Digital Society Initiative Community. **Cycles of Care** is a workshop series exploring how technology, health, and care intersect in women's lives. Digital women's health is growing fast, but many tools still don't fully consider how sex and gender shape our experiences. This series is all about opening up that conversation and bringing people together to think about how we can do better across research, design, and everyday practice. ✹ **Our 1st workshop is happening on March 26 at 16:30** **Theme:** *Considering Sex- and Gender-Specific Factors in Research and Practice* What to expect: * đŸŽ€ Two inspiring talks from guest speakers * 💬 A hands-on, interactive activity * đŸ„‚ A relaxed apero to chat, meet others, and exchange ideas This event is open to **everyone interested in digital women’s health** \- whether you're a researcher\, practitioner\, parent\, designer\, or just curious about the topic\. **Join online or in-person** (Please note: in-person spots are limited) 👉 More info and registration are here: [https://www.c4dhi.org/news/cycles-of-care/](https://www.c4dhi.org/news/cycles-of-care/) 💡 The event is free of charge Come by, meet like-minded people, and help shape more thoughtful, inclusive approaches to women's health and care.
Was dabei geschieht, lĂ€sst sich schwer in Worte fassen. Aber es lĂ€sst sich erfahren. Oft leise. Fast Friending - Make Meaningful Connections! (21-40/Bring a lady free)
Fast Friending - Make Meaningful Connections! (21-40/Bring a lady free)
Moving to a new city is exciting at first — a fresh start, new opportunities, a new chapter. But once things settle, being new in town can feel lonely. You don’t know anyone yet, you’re unsure where to go to meet people, and everyone else seems to already have their circles. That’s where we come in. Our Fast Friending evenings are designed especially for those who are new in town and ready to build real friendships — creating welcoming spaces where conversations flow naturally and meaningful connections begin. **You will need to buy a ticket for attending -** [https://zurich28thmarch.eventbrite.co.uk](https://zurich28thmarch.eventbrite.co.uk) \*You can use any debit or credit card to purchase your ticket at PayPal checkout. It will ask you for your email address but that is only to send you a receipt. You do not need a PayPal account. TICKETS:- Early bird - CHF 10 Regular ticket - CHF 15 Cash at the meetup - If you have not purchased your ticket in advance then you can pay CHF 20 per person in cash on the day of the meetup to Julianne (Please bring exact change) 'Fast friending' is our fun and quick way to help you make new connections quickly with both ladies and gentlemen. These are people in the age group of 21 and 40 and so you will be on a similar wavelength. Naturally you can always choose who to speak with based on your preference! Here's how your evening is planned - **7:00 PM – Welcome** \- We will meet at 7\.00 pm when you will be welcomed by your host Julianne\. She will manage the evening and also help you make connections\. If you are a bit shy or anxious then please come early. Julianne will help you meet other members in a small group and help you settle down and get comfortable. All attendees are also welcome to bring a lady friend along with them for free. This will make it a lot less stressful for you as you will always have your friend alongside. **7:30 – 8:30 PM \| Fast Friending** \- From 7\.30 to 8\.30 pm\, we will start 'Fast Friending' where our host will ask you to speak to a different attendee every 3 minutes\. You will be able to meet lots of ladies and gentlemen and not be limited to only those sitting or standing next you\. **After 8:30 PM \| Open Mingling** \- After 8\.30 pm you will have time to interact with those you have met as well as others\. If you are a bit shy or anxious then please come early. Neo will help you meet other members in a small group and help you settle down and get comfortable. \- We are not a close knit tight group\. Our evenings are warm and comfortable for members attending for the first time and those coming alone\. You will not feel alone\! \- We have many groups in this city\. Members of our other groups who RSVP are included as guests of the organisers in order to give you an indication of expected people\. \- This evening is for ladies and gents in the 21 to 40 age group\. \- Our evenings are not about 'dating' or for 'romantic' connections\. 'Fast friending' is NOT 'Speed dating'\. 'Fast friending' is designed to help members meet other like minded ladies and gents\. It is about new friendships and connections\. Naturally\, new friendships can lead to dating or romantic connections\, but that is not our focus\. Why do we have tickets? 1. Cover our costs - Our host is compensated for their time and work. We also pay meetup and have dedicated staff to manage our events, hosts, venues and communication. 2. Group Safety - By securing your ticket we have a record and you contribute to a well organized evening where everyone is more committed and better behaved. 3. Management - Tickets help us better manage attendee group size, book suitable space and activity. Filmbesprechung: "Man lernt nie aus" (The Intern)

In person peer-led support group for survivors of complex trauma
In person peer-led support group for survivors of complex trauma
**Complex Trauma Support Group** Our group is intended for survivors of complex trauma. If you are here, it’s likely that so much of who you are and what you have experienced in this life is actually invisible to most people––to family, society, coworkers, and the people who are around you. We are a peer-led group of survivors creating opportunities for ourselves and others to share our experiences, share support, and build relationships in kind community together. Survivor experiences might include: child sexual abuse, incest, child trafficking, and other experiences of people living with traumatic dissociation and complex PTSD. **What to expect at your first meeting:** Currently, we are offering a bi-monthly in person group at 2:00pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. The only criterion for joining the group is that you are a survivor of trauma wishing to have more kindness in your own life and share kindness with others, and that you agree to practice to group’s relational agreements available for view here: https://www.kindgroups.com/agreements. Joining the group is free of charge. We ask that new people connect with us for 30 minutes on the phone or on zoom before coming to their first group, so that we can determine together that we are a good fit. Our meetings last approximately 90 minutes. Participants are never required to share. You’re also welcome to choose a pseudonym and you will never be asked for private information. You are welcome to leave at any time. The kindness that survivors can share when among others who have survived similar childhood experiences is something we rarely get to experience. Time spent with others who understand even a little bit more about us is a relief. Our hope is to help ourselves and others experience that we are not alone. We wish for our efforts to be a cause of kindness in our own lives and the lives of each other. You can read more about the groups at www.kindgroups.com.

Humanist Program
Humanist Program
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. Men's Group meetup
Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group. 2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up. 4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.
