Whether you’re into bushcraft, camping, kayaking, or simply being in nature, it’s a place to repair, customize, and create the gear you use on your adventures. Bring any project you like - big or small. That could mean fixing a leaking sleeping pad, patching up a packraft, reinforcing your backpack, sewing extra pockets, or maintaining your gear so it lasts longer. It can also be more creative: sketching in a travel journal, carving, sculpting, or working on portable crafts you enjoy bringing into nature. The goal is simple: meet up, share ideas and skills, and enjoy making and repairing together in a relaxed, welcoming environment. You don’t need to be highly experienced in outdoor activities or travel to join, the group is open to everyone. **Although the focus of the group is on outdoor sports, travel, and nature expeditions, you’re absolutely welcome to join even if the projects or crafts you work on are completely unrelated. Sometimes you just want company, conversation, and a relaxed space to work on your own ideas alongside other people.** Feel free to bring any extra materials, tools, or gear you no longer need - they might find a second life with another participant. Please join us the 3rd Wednesday of each month to learn more about the Columbus Ski Club and what we have to offer. Pizza, wings and a variety of appetizers provided. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1958 with over 800 members. The club has grown beyond the single mission of providing members with not only quality skiing events but also year round social and sport activities. Our gatherings are an opportunity for members and non-members to interact and learn about the many activities offered such as euchre, billiards, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, bowling, golf & softball leagues along with ski and non-ski trips. Our members also plan group activities such as visits to wine tastings, bike trips, comedy clubs, concerts, plays and local sports games, etc. CSC membership is not required to belong to the Meetup group.
