Sketching in Pinetum Blijdenstein
Sketching in Pinetum Blijdenstein
📍 Hilversum Station, 11:00 → Pinetum → back by ~15:00 🚶‍♂️ Short walk (~20–30 min each way) 🎯 Main location: Pinetum Blijdenstein (€4 entry) This time we’re keeping it shorter and focusing on one beautiful spot: the Pinetum — a small botanical garden dedicated to pine trees, full of interesting shapes, textures, and quiet corners to sketch. We’ll meet at Hilversum Station at 11:00, walk together to the garden (arriving around 11:30), and spend about 2 hours sketching. There are some benches, but not many — please bring a foldable chair if you’d like to sit while sketching (blankets won’t work here). Around 13:30, we’ll head back toward the station. If people feel like it, we can grab coffee and maybe lunch at Mout before wrapping up around 15:00. Bring: Sketching materials Water Foldable chair Comfortable clothes + an extra layer No pressure on skill level — quick sketches, detailed studies, or just experimenting are all welcome. Come for the trees, stay for the sketches 🌲✏️
Heart of Compassion: Meditatie & Reflectie
Heart of Compassion: Meditatie & Reflectie
Tea Ceremony "Bach in the Tea Hut"
Tea Ceremony "Bach in the Tea Hut"
Tea Ceremony "Bach in the Tea Hut" (May - June 2026) In April Japanese Tea House Naardermeer Tea Hut has opened the doors in Hilversum. The opening went very well, with many visitors coming to experience the space and the stories shared about architect Barry van Waveren and nature guide Saskia Vos. In May and June, the Tea Hut will be open to the public every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. During these days, visitors are welcome to enter the Naardermeer Tea Hut. Haruka Matsuo will guide you through the space and share its background, materials, and story. Haruka Matsuo invites you to a special tea gathering series, Bach in the Tea Hut, held at the Naardermeer Tea Hut at Meentwerf. As the Tea Hut is small, the number of guests is limited. Book your seat on the website [https://www.japansetheepot.nl/blank/tea-ceremony-bach-in-the-tea-hut-31-may-2026](https://www.japansetheepot.nl/blank/tea-ceremony-bach-in-the-tea-hut-31-may-2026) Together with cellist Gé Bartman, we will share an afternoon of Bach’s cello music and the quiet practice of Ōbaku Baisa-Ryū sencha tea ceremony. In the soft light of early summer, tea, sound and silence come together in a small and intimate setting. Rather than matcha, in this ceremony will be served loose-leaf sencha tea in the tradition of Ōbaku Baisa-Ryū. As the tea slowly changes in flavour through each infusion, the music also gently fills the space. The goal is to create a moment where you can slow down, breathe deeply and simply be present. Dates (the time is always from 13:30–15:00 o'clock) - Sunday 31 May - Saturday 6 June - Friday 12 June - Saturday 20 June - Saturday 27 June Duration: 70–90 minutes Price: €32 Location: Meentwerf, Mierenmeent 122, 1218 EM Hilversum Haruka Matsuo will welcome you there and guide the ceremony With warm regards Baatyr

Join us for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in your area. When you show up, say hello to everyone, grab a drink, and get your writing tools ready. Once you’re all settled, take some time to chat with your fellow writers. Once everyone’s arrived, I will lead quick introductions and then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session. Afterward, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other. We often talk about our successes and challenges as writers. If you don’t have time to stick around, no worries! **A note about the format** We don’t host critiques or readings. 🌿 Wild & Free: Outdoor Physical Theatre Workshop by Cloud Causality ☀️
The sun is finally out! For our May workshop, we are stepping out of the studio and into the open air of Amsterdam's beautiful **Gaasperpark**. In the city, we often contract and match the pace of screens. This session is an invitation to expand—to let your body breathe with the trees, run on the grass, and rediscover the joy of unstructured group play. 🎭 **What We Will Explore:** * **The Unbound Body:** Moving without the constraints of four walls. * **Nature as a Partner:** Letting the wind, trees, and earth inspire our movement. * **Collective Play:** Childlike, spontaneous physical theatre games under the open sky. * **Grounding & Presence:** Tuning into our senses to shake off the daily hustle. 👥 **Who Is This For?** Perfect for anyone wanting to disconnect from the digital world, release stress, and meet a warm, creative community. **Absolutely no movement or theatre experience needed!** Come exactly as you are. 🕺 **Meet Your Facilitator** This session will be led by **Zippo Guo**, a Chinese physical theatre artist, Featured illusionist at ‘The Illusionists Starring Hans Klok’ (Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group) ☁️ **About Cloud Causality (当下剧场)** Cloud Causality is an international platform for physical theatre and cultural exchange. Our work is rooted in two core philosophies: * **The Danish Folk High School Tradition:** Inspired by the spirit of the *“School for Life”*—prioritizing experiential learning, non-competitive play, and human connection over pressure and performance. * **Mime Corporel (Corporal Mime):** Developed by Étienne Decroux, this practice forms our foundation—using expressive movement to make the invisible currents of life visible and poetic. 📅 **Practical Info** * **Date:** Sunday, May 31, 2026 * **Time:** 13:00 – 16:00 * **Location:** Gaasperpark, Amsterdam * **What to wear:** Comfortable clothes you can move in. Bring a water bottle and sunscreen! 💛 **Contribution (Donation-Based)** * Students / Not working full-time: €5–10 * Working / Financially comfortable: €10–30 * *Tight on budget? While some are still meeting online, this is an in person event. Please note that we have attendees of all levels of speaking, including some native speakers. All are welcome! Also, as we meet at the same time and place each week, many don’t RSVP on the app, so we will likely have more attendees than noted here. Note: if you are asked to pay and upgrade the Meetup app, this is not necessary. You can ignore this and still attend our meetings. Men's Group meetup
Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group. 2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up. 4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.
