The Rovo Grand Prix: Winning the Race for Productivity
The Rovo Grand Prix: Winning the Race for Productivity
Every team has that "Manual Drag" - those repetitive, low-gear loops that keep you stuck in the pits while the competition is flying. It’s time to break the rhythm and find your flow. Join us for a high-octane session on Atlassian Rovo, the AI power unit built to eliminate the manual grind and get you to the podium. We’re going to show you how to: Tune the Frequency (Search): Stop the static. Cut through the noise and find exactly what you need across your entire stack in one smooth motion. No more hunting for the beat. Riff with the Pit Wall (Chat): Turn fragmented data into instant insights. Don’t just read the spec—ask the engine to remix it, summarize it, and serve it up so you stay in the flow. Hand Off the Loops (Agents): Put Rovo Agents on the repetitive, manual chores that stall your engine. Let them handle the grind while you focus on the high-speed moves that actually win the race. The grid is forming. Stop idling in the manual lane and start playing the high-speed tracks. Are you ready to take the lead? Agenda --- Speaker Abbas Heidari - Woolworths Group (Atlassian Expert) Hosted By Michelle Letho, Account Executive & Networking Junkie Michelle (Miche) Letho is the Melbourne Atlassian Community Event (ACE) Champion and an Account Executive at Willyama Togetha, Australia’s only Indigenous-owned Atlassian Platinum Partner. She helps organisations imagine, build, and scale better ways of working through Atlassian solutions that boost collaboration, visibility, and impact. A member of the Transformers Unite leadership team, Miche supports national change and transformation events that bring practitioners together to learn and share. With a career spanning tech, FMCG, a Startup founder and consulting, she blends commercial know-how with curiosity and heart. If she's not at networking events, outside work, she keeps busy ubering teens at calisthenics and netball. and recharges through yoga, Pilates and hiking. Abbas Heidari, Engineer With an IT career spanning over 30 years, I have always been passionate about bridging the gap between technical architecture and human collaboration. My journey began in 1995 in software engineering, and after completing my Master of Information Systems at the University of Melbourne, I transitioned my focus to the Atlassian ecosystem in 2015. Currently, I serve as the Atlassian SME at Woolworths Group. Working within a high-impact team, I focus on delivering enterprise-grade solution consulting and sustainable governance to support thousands of users across a complex, large-scale environment. I am particularly dedicated to: ■ Enterprise Solution Consulting Architecting the Atlassian product lifecycle to meet the intricate, scalable needs of the Woolworths Group. ■ Community Leadership Since last year, I have led the Atlassian CUG (Company User Group) within Woolworths, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and cross-functional best practices. ■ Product Influence Active participation in Atlassian’s Early Access Programmes (EAPs), providing direct feedback to help shape the future of the tools we use every day. ■ Governance & Enablement Establishing frameworks that balance operational efficiency with internal security while empowering teams through specialised training. I believe the strength of the Atlassian suite lies in the community behind it. I’m always keen to exchange ideas on governance, scalability, and how to build a thriving internal user community. Bonnie Emmerson, Atlassian Community Champion Mit Tolia, Atlassian Community Champion Andy Fleming, Lead DevOps Engineer G’day everyone, I’m Andy from Melbourne (Australia) and I've been a Community Champion since late 2025. I’ve been an Atlassian geek since around 2008 when I started using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye and Crucible for my startup, and have been in a number of Atlassian Admin and advocacy roles across multiple industries since then. Primarily a Developer and DevOps guy in office hours, I love tinkering with a new tool or process and working out how it can help teams do what they’re doing better, with more clarity and transparency. Fair chunk of experience around JSM (and the alternatives) and a passion for DX and DevSecOps type processes. Bringing some order to chaos, helping people with work and processes and generally helping people get stuff done. My undergrad was focused on AI 30 years too early, but now spending a lot of time there as it all comes full circle, so Rovo is of particular interest. Looking forward to meeting hopefully lots of you 🍻 --- Global Partner Atlassian (http://atlassian.com) Millions of users globally rely on Atlassian products every day for improving software development, project management, collaboration, and code quality. For over a decade, Atlassian customers have come together to network, share ideas, solve problems, and find new ways to use Atlassian products. What's Anxiety? Free Educational Meetup!
What's Anxiety? Free Educational Meetup!
What is Anxiety? Free educational only meetup. All to many people experience anxiety symptoms. Some have it once in a while whilst all too many others continue to experience more then is considered healthy. Without factual knowledge about how the mind works anxiety can be experienced by any of us and strike at any time. Therefore all people are encouraged to attend. Today's meetup is not to diagnose, treat or cure. Its educational. So would you not like to know what anxiety is? and what it is you can actually do about all your unwanted conditions so that you can be free. The education shared today is not related to Faith, Psychology or Psychiatry. It's related to Dianetics the Modern Science of Mental Health. By L. Ron Hubbard. If you ever felt there was something holding you back in life, ruining your plans and stopping you from being who you want to be, you were right. The Answers related to any condition that you don't like about yourself and want to handle can be found in this book. ***** What is Anxiety? Every problem can have a YES, a NO or a MAYBE as its answer. A person is as sane as he has YESES and NOES and as he does not have MAYBES. The number of maybes which a person is carrying in his mind is directly proportional to the extreme foolishness or irrationality which he is demonstrating. Now, you get what i mean? A fellow says "well, I- shall I go downtown? If he says yes or no, he gets action or no action. If he says maybe, he gets turbulence. Now, life consists of action or no action - just these two things. And as a result you get turbulence when a state of beingness or a state of not -beingness cannot be entered with regards to any particular subject. "Was it my fault or wasn't it my fault?" is the toughest of those problems. "Was she to blame or wasn't she to blame?" And when these things hang up on maybes on major problems, an individual becomes uncertain. Anxiety is simply the state of maybeness. It's "what will happen if ...?" That's Anxiety. "What will happen if....?" A person then doesn't have a yes or a no. He has an inaction category which is a turbulent category. (Category here means each of a possibly exhaustive set of classes among which all things might be distributed.) He does not dare act because he does not have an answer. The smooth functioning of a mind, reaction time, the ability of an individual to be decisive and therefore to be in action, is dependent upon his capability of handling problems in yes or no categories. You want to get an individual unstuck, clean up his maybes Now there are several ways to clean up maybes. One of them is just get him to face the problem with current data. that's all. Face the problem with current data and reevaluate and re predict from the point where he hung up in the maybe. He made a decision once: was it right one or the wrong one? And that is the start of the maybes. He made the decision once: was it the right one or the wrong one? Now he gets afraid to make decisions, so he hangs these decisions up in maybe, and there's the anatomy of it. ***** All people of goodwill are welcome at this meetup or at any time. We are open 7 days each week 9am till 10pm Monday till Friday and Saturday and Sunday 9am till 6pm You may also wish to tune into Scientology network TV at www.scientolgy.tv If you feel too anxious to attend or can simply not be their at this time than call or SMS us on 0412 812 611. Order the book Dianetics the Modern Science of Mental Health and we will send it out to you. (free postage)

One of the most valuable parts of this community is the opportunity to think out loud with other product professionals. This session is built for exactly that. As we wrap up the quarter, it’s a great time to pause and reflect. What’s on track? What needs adjustment? Where could a small shift create bigger impact? Join fellow product professionals for a focused, interactive conversation designed to help you recalibrate for the next quarter. You’ll have the opportunity to share where you are, hear how others are thinking through similar challenges, and gain fresh perspective you can bring back to your team and organization. We’ll gather at 8:00AM, with discussion starting promptly at 8:15AM. 📍 First Watch - 7227 N High St Located in: The Shops at Worthington Ample parking is available. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Start your morning with clarity and connection — we hope to see you there! ☀️
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. Broad St. • **Metered Street Parking** **What moves are you making?** A promotion you’re working toward. A role change you’re considering. A bigger leadership opportunity. A conversation that needs to happen. A decision that’s been sitting in the back of your mind. For our Q1 Women in Product Columbus event, we’re creating space to actually work through those moments. **Making Moves** is an evening of focused, facilitated coaching conversations with experienced mentors from our local product community. This isn’t a panel. It’s not passive networking. It’s small-group dialogue designed to be thoughtful, practical, and worth your time. Here’s how it will work: • You’ll choose a topic that reflects what you’re navigating right now • You’ll join a small coaching circle (5–7 participants) • Each circle is led by a mentor who has lived experience in that area • We’ll run two rounds so you can go deeper or explore a second conversation ### Coaching Topics: • Communicating the Value of Your Work (or Team) • Career Transitions & What’s Next • Growing Into Leadership • Staying Relevant as Technology (and AI) Changes • Getting Alignment and Decisions from Leadership Our goal is simple: you leave with clearer thinking, practical perspective, and at least one next step you feel confident about. Space in each circle will be limited to keep conversations meaningful. If this sounds like the kind of room you’ve been wanting to be in, we’d love to see you on March 10. RSVP here!
