Agentic Engineering & the Future of AI-Driven Development
Agentic Engineering & the Future of AI-Driven Development
With the rise of AI, software and application development is changing fast. Today, it’s less about whether you code in Vue, React, or another framework—it’s about **how you leverage AI-driven development** and which languages and frameworks work best with LLMs. At this meetup, we’ll explore how AI is transforming software development. Even if you focus solely on frontend, you’ll discover new approaches and practices that can reshape the way you build applications. Join us to discuss **Agentic Engineering** and the new horizons AI opens for developers!
Agentic Engineering
Agentic Engineering
Join us for an evening of deep technical insights into the future of AI-assisted software development. This meetup brings together industry leaders to explore cutting-edge approaches to agentic engineering, from specification-driven development to preserving human flow states in AI-powered workflows. **Venue:** Suntec Tower 3, 8 Temasek Boulevard, #30-01/02, Singapore 038988 **Date:** 25 Feb **Schedule:** * 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Registration & Networking * 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Speaker Sessions & Q&A ## Featured Speakers **Sergey Saburov, Director of Software Engineering, Acronis** **Topic:** *Spec-Driven Development: Modern Strategies for Human-AI Collaboration* Dive into an in-depth comparison of specification-first methodologies in the era of AI-assisted engineering. This session evaluates different approaches to Spec-Driven Development (SDD), contrasting rigid, blueprint-heavy frameworks with lightweight, iterative change-tracking systems. Sergey examines practical workflows—from initial design to automated implementation—discussing how treating specifications as the "Source of Truth" helps teams eliminate technical debt, minimize AI hallucinations, and maintain architectural integrity in complex codebases. **Sanjeev Solanki, NLP Lead Engineer (AI),** **Constructor Technology** **Topic:** *AI Research Assistant: From Papers to Production with Agentic AI* This talk explores how AI can go beyond chatbots to become a structured research collaborator. We’ll look at an AI Research Assistant that reads papers, analyzes code, understands datasets, and generates executable plans using multi-agent orchestration. "The Lover" by Marguerite Duras
"The Lover" by Marguerite Duras
\*Please note the change of venue. We are no longer able to meet at Charlies and will be looking for a new venue. !!! Beware of scams! If you have been contacted about featuring your work at our meetings or have been asked for any kind of payment it is a scam. Country: France/Vietnam Written in: 1984 Pages: 177 An appropriate title for a book to read over Valentines, although it may not be an aspirational love story. The good news is it is a shorter read! From the back cover of the book: A modern classic and international bestseller with more than one million copies in print, The Lover has been celebrated by critics and readers across the globe since its first publication in 1984. Set in the prewar Indochina of Marguerite Duras's childhood, this is the haunting tale of a tumultuous affair between an adolescent French girl and her Chinese lover. In spare yet luminous prose, Duras evokes life on the margins of Saigon in the waning days of France's colonial empire, and its representation in the passionate relationship between two unforgettable outcasts. \*\*\*\*\* **New to the Hungry Hundred Book Club?** Here's what you need to know: 1. Read the book (If you don't manage to finish it by the meetup date, don't worry. As long as you're not going to be too disappointed by spoilers, you're still welcome to join.) 2. Come to the meeting, usually (but not always!) on the last Sunday of every month. 3. Be prepared to order food/drink at the venue to show our appreciation for letting us use their space. This is a requirement. A lot of time and effort has been put into finding a place that will accommodate our group without an outrageous minimum charge or rental fee, and you'll never be asked to contribute to organiser fees, so please show your respect and support for the restaurant that's letting us use their space. 4. Discuss! It's a casual conversation, so don't be afraid to ask questions and let us know what you think.

Story of a Murder: The Wives, the Mistress and Dr Crippen by Hallie Rubenhold
"Whip-smart, brilliantly atmospheric, completely addictive." —Rachel Joyce In March, let's talk about one of the most infamous murders of the 20th century...after reading ***Story of a Murder: The Wives, the Mistress, and Dr. Crippen*** by Hallie Rubenhold. * The International Bestseller * Winner of the Clue Award - True Crime Book of the Year . . . On February 1, 1910, the vivacious, diamond-adorned music hall performer Belle Elmore suddenly vanished from her home, causing alarm among her friends, the entertainers of the Music Hall Ladies’ Guild. Their demands for an investigation would lead to the unearthing of a gruesome secret and trigger a fevered international manhunt for Belle’s husband, medical fraudster Dr. Hawley Harvey Crippen. Ethel Le Neve, Crippen’s typist and lover, who fled with Crippen in disguise, has always hidden in the shadows of this tale--was she really just "an innocent young girl" in thrall to a powerful older man? And was there an equally sinister story behind the death of Crippen’s first wife, Charlotte? Brimming with twists and featuring a carnival cast of eccentric entertainers, star lawyers, zealous detectives, medics and liars, Story of a Murder offers an electrifying snapshot of Britain and America at the dawn of the modern era. . . . “Unbelievably addictive - I defy you to put it down! Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have. Happy writing!
