But we've had promising results lately - so we will be putting in the time. We are NOT meeting at our usual location, but rather at Steve's house/lab. Hopefully we’ll get several of those thrills today as we visit one of the prime eagle nesting areas on the East Coast. UPDATE: Due to avian flu, the trail from the Conowingo Dam to Susquehanna State Park is closed. We will make a stop (30 minutes) at the Conowingo Dam Fishermen's Park to observe eagles and other birds and then go to the Deer Creek Picnic Area in Susquehanna State Park to start the hike. We’ll follow the Deer Creek Trail to the Farm Road Trail and then take the Rock Run and Historic trails to the Rock Run Mill. Long hikers add a loop on the Ivy Branch Trail. We'll walk about 3 miles around Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, visiting preparations for the nation's 250th anniversary, memorials to U.S. leaders, the grotto-like Summer House, the National Botanical Gardens, the Disabled Veterans Memorial, and of course the government buildings where things happen -- or not. The meeting place/start is in front the office building that houses the Sierra Club's DC Chapter, where Potomac Region Outings (PRO) leaders will meet after the hike. **Those planning to attend the potluck lunch and meeting (See separate entry for that meeting) may leave their food, papers and other things in the office.** Sunday parking is available in the area, and the Union Station Metro stop (Red Line) is nearby. Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context.
