Join me for a photo walk at Am Hof Easter market :) We will gather at the south entrance of Am Hof, then take a short walk between the stands. As the market is small, we will then head past Cafe Central and Michaelerplatz to Albertina. At the end of the walk everyone is welcome to join for a warm drink at a nearby cafe. The event is free of charge but will be limited to max 10 people as it is meant as an opportunity to connect. It is suitable for all regardless of age/level/gear. IMPORTANT: as these events are usually full, please make sure to cancel at least 24h in advance if you see you aren´t able to make it.

Weekly screenings from a large archive of many of the most significant, yet seldom seen and rarely accessible cinematic masterpieces in the history of film - from its earliest beginnings to the present day. Screenings are in original language, if English, or original language with English subtitles. Films are selected democratically on the inspiration of a brief pre-screening discussion. The selected title is typically a "neglected gem" that most of us discover together for the first time. Individual taste is not a criterion and all participants are expected to put the interests of the group as a whole above personal preference or prejudice. In this sense, the emphasis is on openness, exploration, and surprise. Each screening is followed by an in-depth group discussion, led and moderated by the curator. WARNNG: FilmStory is not just about watching movies! Rather, it's a socially responsible, intellectual engagement, involving an organic approach to group study of film language, philosophy, art, history, politics, and technology. In this sense, the film is always merely the current highlight in an explorative, ongoing group discussion. **FilmStory** is a members-only series that involves a closely knit community of cinephiles. With over 15 years of experience in improv, you can see him with The English Lovers, one of Vienna’s longest-standing improv groups, Two-Buttons Short, and with Rainbow’s Last Wish. Du wirst in diesem lockeren Kunstgeschichte Kurs direkt vor den Originalen Meisterwerken im Kunsthistorischen Museum Wien einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Epochen der Kunstgeschichte von der Kunst des Mittelalters bis ins 18. Jahrhundert bekommen und wirst fortan Kunst in allen Ausstellungen anders sehen und verstehen und Zusammenhänge besser erkennen können. Jede Woche wenden wir uns einer Epoche zu und einem der wichtigsten Werke von einem der bedeutendsten Künstler im Kunsthistorischen Museum. Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich, der Kurs ist aber auch für Fortgeschrittene gut besuchbar. Alles wird in lockerem Beisammensein vor den Bildern stattfinden, anschließend stehen das wunderschöne Café in der Kuppelhalle im Museum und die vielen netten Lokale in nächster Nähe für weiteres Beisammensein zur Verfügung und natürlich kann man auch einfach noch weiter alleine oder mit alten und den neuen Bekannten sich selbständig im Museum noch mehr anschauen. You are welcome just to come for inspiration. You definitely don't need to read books at the moment. Come write with us at Cafe Pierre every Sunday at 18:00-20:00! A message from Shut Up & Write: "Shut Up & Write hosts free, in-person and online writing events for writers all over the world. Our goal is to ensure that every writer—regardless of genre or skill level—has access to the resources, community, and accountability that they need to be successful in their personal writing goals." And what this looks like at our event: We chat and give short introductions to what we are working on at 18:00, then start writing at 18:15. Though we try to start on dot, being late isn't a problem—just find a spot and get to work! We write until 20:00 and then discuss how our writing went. From fiction to non-fiction, academic papers to poetry, applications to work-related writing—anything goes! Nothing is needed except for you to bring whatever is need to get stuff done, i.e. laptop, headphones, pen and paper, and so on. The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills.
