Deep Conversation - Question Chosen in Session
Welcome to our weekly event in the upstairs room of The Sister Café, rue Chair et Pain 3, one block from the Grand Place. Please get there early enough to order your drink at the bar first. Thank you!
After introductions we will collect questions from the group participants, choose one by voting then discuss it for an hour. Then most of us stay for drinks and bizarre conversations.
Past questions have been wide and not confined to academic philosophy:
What is a genuine friend?
Is social media turning us into emotional zombies?
Do we lose some of the experience of things by defining them?
Are we driven by sex?
Is loneliness a personal failure?
Is morality relative?
**Crucially, be kind and respectful and generous** in your disagreements; remember how much you personally enjoy someone else proving you wrong before celebrating your cutting counterexamples.
Country Side Hike in Dworp
Set out for an energizing afternoon micro-adventure in "**DWORP**". This hilly and scenic region close to Brussels.
With a small crew of explorers, weâll hike through lush nature trails, taking in the scenery and challenging ourselves with a sporty pace. Expect winding paths, panoramic views, and plenty of chances to reconnect with nature while enjoying a light but adventurous outing.
**Practically:**
The plan is to meet at a metro station. We car pool from there to Dworp. The hike is 3 hours walk. After the hike we have a drink and we return to Brussels.
**Car Sharing:**
PP numbers depend of number of drivers.
**Let me know if you need a ride if you offer a car to share.**
10 eur pp for car sharing.

Sunday After â Cards, Pool, or the City
Some Sundays donât end at lunch.
After the garden BBQ event we do every Sunday ([link here](https://www.meetup.com/the-club-connect-share-explore-enjoy-repeat/events/313489633)), a smaller group usually stays around, and the evening slowly takes its own direction.
Sometimes we play cards. (Uno, Undercover)
Sometimes we go for a game of pool.
Sometimes we end up exploring a bar or dancing somewhere in the city.
There is no fixed plan.
The idea is simple: **good people, good conversation, and see where the night goes.**

BBQ and Games next to Plasky Square, Food/Drinks/Games
***Spring is back in Brussels, and this time weâre celebrating*** **Easter Sunday properly**: a garden BBQ, shared food, sun, and a table that actually brings people together.
This event is about the **spirit of Easter**: renewal, sharing, generosity, and sitting down with others to enjoy real food and real conversation.
You donât need to be religious.
You donât need to believe anything.
You just need to show up with the right mindset.
**Everyone is welcome â all backgrounds, all cultures, all beliefs.**
**The vibe**
Backyard BBQ, relaxed but intentional
Sharing food, stories, and cultures
Conversations that move freely between languages
**Food philosophy (important)**
Easter is about **sharing and abundance**, not convenience.
We strongly prefer **homemade food to share**.
This is how you bring something meaningful to the table.
Letâs be honest:
**sad last-minute supermarket food has nothing to do with Easter values.**
If you cook, cook something real; something your mama would cook.
If you donât cook, donât compensate with low-effort junk.
**If you cannot cook:**
**You can still fully participate by contributing to the food preparation**
**â cash on arrival or via Payconiq / Wise / Revolut**
This allows us to prepare proper dishes and keep quality high.
Bring & Share (if you cook)
**Food + drinks for you AND something to share**
Cultural dishes encouraged: bring your âthis is what we eat at homeâ
Homemade always wins
Drinks=
Better quality, more balance
We especially need proper soft drinks and also water
**Location (shared privately)**
**Address shared only with confirmed participants who:**
**Join the WhatsApp group**
**Send a short intro: name + languages + interests**
**WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/F2hTxZ4TT3hHICiihX1Efy**
**Rules**
**Not a dating event**
No drama, no weird behavior, no pushing boundaries
Respect the place, the people, and the spirit of the day
**Come to share, not just to consume.**
*
* This is not an âNPC meetupâ where everyone tiptoes around like theyâre negotiating a hostage release. People can talk freely and share opinions. **No censorship, no tone-policing, no drama farming.**
* **No creeps. No harassment. No pushing after a âno.â No weird DMs.**
* Respect the hostâs home, neighbors, and the group.
* If you act shady, youâre out. Simple.

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for April is "Water"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!

Everybody's welcome! It doesn't matter if you've never tried story games before or never played roleplaying games at all! Just bring your brain and a good attitude and come try it out!

**IMPORTANT**

AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machineâs?
This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation?
We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
Whether youâre deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.

How to Structure Real Estate Deals Using Seller Finance and Notes
Learn how seller finance and notes can create cash flow and new deal opportunities with 40-year investor Eddie Speed
**FREE TICKET** đïž https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-to-structure-real-estate-deals-using-seller-finance-and-notes-tickets-1984826171509?aff=cicmeetupapp
Most real estate investors only know one way to make money:
Buy the property. Fix the property. Rent it or sell it.
But thereâs another side of real estate that can create cash flow, flexibility, and opportunity without only focusing on owning more property.
At this monthâs Columbus Investors Club, Tiffany and Josh High are sitting down with Eddie Speed - a real estate veteran with 40 years of experience who has closed more than 50,000 note deals. He has spent decades helping investors understand how to structure deals through seller finance and notes, and how to think more like the bank instead of just the buyer.
This will be a practical conversation around a part of real estate most people have heard about, but very few truly understand.
If youâve ever wanted to know how to create more opportunities in deals, generate cash flow in a different way, or understand how seller finance actually works in the real world, this is a night you want to be in the room for.
Youâll walk away thinking about deals differently, seeing new possibilities, and understanding how creative structuring can open doors that traditional investing alone canât.
**What Youâll Learn**
* How seller finance works in real estate deals
* How notes fit into real estate and create opportunity
* How to structure deals more creatively
* How investors generate cash flow by focusing on the payment
* How to think like the bank instead of only focusing on owning the property
* How this strategy can create flexibility in todayâs market
**Open Q&A - Ask Eddie Anything About**
* Seller finance and how to use it in real deals
* How notes work in a practical, beginner-friendly way
* Creating cash flow without only relying on rentals
* Structuring deals that others might miss
* How experienced investors think differently about financing
* Common mistakes investors make when they only focus on the property
**Why You Should Be in the Room**
Because the investors who win in the long run know how to do more than just buy houses.
They know how to structure. They know how to create terms. They know how to see opportunities other people miss.
This is the kind of conversation that can expand the way you think about real estate entirely.
Come ready to learn, ask questions, take notes, and connect with people who are serious about growing in this business.
**Reserve your free seat now - and be part of the conversation.**
