Blood on the clock tower @ Aloft Schuman
Blood on the clock tower @ Aloft Schuman
**Please update your attendance if you can not join as this game as we need to know the exact number of players.** The script will be decided on the day. Here are a few helpful links for beginners: * [How to play video](https://youtu.be/M-aZP47Nm9g) * [Gameplay video by Good Time Society](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-aZP47Nm9g) * [Characters description](https://wiki.bloodontheclocktower.com/Trouble_Brewing) Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller. A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.

🌙 Twilight Walk in Parc de Woluwe (🏮Red Torch/Headlamp Required🏮)
_IMPORTANT: To RSVP you will also need to register as a member [here.](https://forms.gle/PsmYJ3vQKocXQCAY6)_ **🏮 Please bring a red-light headlamp or torch (Decathlon has them).** Red mode is required to minimize light pollution, respect wildlife, and keep the peaceful night-walk atmosphere. As winter approaches and daylight fades earlier, we’ll take advantage of the calm, blue-hour mood for a gentle **late-afternoon walk through Parc de Woluwe** - one of Brussels’ most elegant urban parks. We’ll follow an easy loop along the lakes and the Woluwe River, enjoying that unique winter serenity: silhouettes of trees against the sky, reflections on the water, and the quiet shift from day to night. After the walk, we’ll warm up together with a drink at **Brasserie des Étangs Mellaerts**, our meeting and parking point. ### **🕯️ A bit of history, softly told at dusk** Created during the **Belle Époque** (1896–1898) as part of King Leopold II’s urban vision, the park was designed as a landscaped corridor linking Brussels to Tervuren. The gentle river, the chain of lakes, and the elegant avenues still echo that era’s idea of blending beauty, nature, and modern city life. ### **🕓 Plan** * Meet at **Brasserie des Étangs Mellaerts**, Bd du Souverain 275, 1150 Woluwe-Saint-Pierre * **Parking** available on site * Easy access via **Tram 39/44** from Montgomery or **Tram 8** from Roodebeek - get off at *Musée du Tram* * We start and end the walk at the ClubHouse, followed by warm drinks together ☕ ### **🌿 Expect** 🍁 Winter foliage, calm lakes, and soft evening light 🦆 Ducks, herons, maybe even a fox if we’re lucky ✨ A cozy, slightly scout-like night walk with red headlamps 🐕 Gentle pace - dogs welcome ### **💶 Symbolic Contribution** This recurring walk is **free**. If you’d like to support the Sunday Vacations community, you may make an optional **€5 symbolic contribution** to our non-profit ASBL. **UJAMAA ASBL** **IBAN:** BE35 7380 4663 9137 **Reference:** Woluwe By joining this event, you agree to the Sunday Vacations [Terms & Conditions](https://www.sundayvacations.com/terms), [Privacy Policy](https://www.sundayvacations.com/privacy) & [Code of Conduct](https://www.sundayvacations.com/code)

The Armadillo’s Surprise: the poetry and life of Elizabeth Bishop
The Armadillo’s Surprise: the poetry and life of Elizabeth Bishop
[Sign-up and payment obligatory via website](https://www.wordcraft-collective.eu/courses/the-armadillo%E2%80%99s-surprise%3A-the-poetry-and-life-of-elizabeth-bishop). In this workshop, we will delve into the life of this enigmatic poet and through her poem, The Armadillo, examine how she used pace, rhyme and surprise to build to a climax. Using different prompts, participants will be invited to learn from this great poet and choose one or more of these tools to start on the creation of their own poem in the workshop. Elizabeth Bishop has been described as one of America’s most important poets. A pioneer of confessional poetry, her poems describe the physical world in detail. While others find her poems convey emotions of loss, disconnection and grief, Bishop would herself refute this more in depth analysis, saying she only wrote about what she saw. No experience of writing poetry or knowledge about Elizabeth Bishop is needed prior to the workshop. You are invited to discover her life and words together, or bring your own knowledge to the group if you have studied her previously.
Cinematek : Run Lola Run
Cinematek : Run Lola Run
**Cinematek : Run Lola Run** 01/02 @ 19h00 As a complement to the colloque organized by Figura (UQAM), we present a series of films that all testify to a way of playing with time that can take the form of uchrony, retrofuturism or even parallel worlds. Cinema, by its very nature, has developed fictions that recompose, destructure and virtualize the time of action and narratives. Several films of the last decades, from Tarantino to Nolan, from Course Lola, course to Kieslowski testify to this fact. Climb & Chill 🧗‍♂️☕️
Climb & Chill 🧗‍♂️☕️
What's up Friends! 👋
Ready for some bouldering fun? Boulder-what? 🤔 It’s climbing (FR: escalade, le bloc) up to 4.5m high without ropes—and in my case, without much hope! 😂✨ It’s a super fun indoor activity, but be warned: it does require a certain level of physical fitness and/or skill. Most importantly, though, it requires awesome company—which we’ve got! 😎
The Idea: 📍 Meeting Point: For those arriving at 13:00, we’ll meet at the cafeteria (next to the billiards table). Feel free to start earlier or later—just drop me a message or write in the group chat so we can meet up. 💪 Stay & climb as long as you want - venue closes at midnight! 🥤 Recharge: If you’ve had enough climbing for the day (we usually do this after 2 hours of climbing), we may head back to the cafeteria (or to the rooftop if it's sunny🌤️) for snacks, drinks & games. Cafeteria closes at 22:00. Where: 📍Arkose: (Brussels Canal) Rue Willy de Bruyn Straat 52, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgique 🔗 https://arkose.com/

Fees: 🤑Entry fee without shoes: - 18 eur (first-timers 10€ with online promo activated) - reduced rates: students, minors, job seekers, firefighters, military (proof required) 👟 Shoe Rental: 5€ (if you don’t have your own) 🎫 10-session pass: 150€
Good to Know: ✍️ First-timers need to create an account (takes 5min) - do it in advance and pay online to pay less and avoid wasting time onsite 💦 Hydration is key! Bring a water bottle. 🔐 Lockers available, but bring your own padlock. 🚿 Changing rooms & showers on-site. 👕 Wear comfy sports clothes—it gets intense! 🧴 Only liquid magnesium is allowed (for grip) - in reality most people use powder🤫 👟 Thinking of going regularly? Bouldering shoes are a great investment! (Decathlon: ~45-65€ per pair.)

⚠️ Safety First! Bouldering is fun, but safety comes first! Stay alert, know your limits, and don’t take unnecessary risks. Enjoy responsibly! 💪
📢 Further details may be shared via the group chat or via DM 💬. Make sure to check your messages 👀 at least on the day before the event to avoid missing critical 🙄 announcements. 🐈‍⬛ The Friends Code:
👉Respect and positive vibes, if not 💥🥊
👉Can’t make it? Cancel or drop a message in the chat - helps running things smoothly! 👉 Don't show up if you are on the waiting list or show up at your own risk.
See you at the walls folks😉
🏰 The Hidden Waterfall Castle: Winter Adventure at Reinhardstein
🏰 The Hidden Waterfall Castle: Winter Adventure at Reinhardstein
Join us for a trip to one of Belgium’s most dramatic "secret" spots! Often compared to a Game of Thrones location, Reinhardstein Castle sits on a jagged rock deep in the Warche Valley. Since it’s the first weekend of February, we are aiming for that moody, atmospheric winter vibe. We’ll explore the medieval fortress, see Belgium’s highest waterfall (60m!), and warm up afterwards with some local food. Here is what to expect: * 🌲 The Hike: A short but steep descent through the forest to reach the castle gates. * 🏰 The Tour: A guided visit inside the fortress (Armour, tapestries, and medieval history). * 💧 The Waterfall: A walk to the base of the cascade which might be frozen or flowing heavy with winter rain. * 🥞 Post-Hike Warm Up: Since it is Chandeleur (Pancake) weekend, we’ll stop at a local tavern nearby for crêpes, waffles, or a hot drink before heading back! 💎 MEMBERSHIP & FEES 1. Organizing Fee: * Standard Members: €5.00 per person. * Voyager & Ambassador Members: FREE (Exempt from organizing fee). 2. Community Membership (Mandatory): Since this is a community event, all participants must be members. * Membership starts at €5 per year. * It grants you access to all our community events. * 👉 [[CLICK HERE TO BECOME A MEMBER](https://www.sundayvacations.com/membership)] 💶 ESTIMATED COSTS (Per Person) * Castle Entry: ~€12.00 (Standard adult price). * Transport: TBD. * Organizing Fee: €5.00 (Waived for Voyager/Ambassador members). * Food/Drinks: Pay for what you consume. 🚗 TRANSPORTATION Status: TBD Transportation will be decided based on the number of participants. * Option A: Carpooling (Drivers will be compensated for gas/parking). * Option B: Train: We take the 10:01 train from Gare Centrale to Eupen then transfer to bus. * We will organize this in the logistics event chat. 🥾 IMPORTANT: GEAR & WEATHER This is a winter outing in the Ardennes. * Footwear: The path to the castle is steep and can be muddy or icy. Hiking boots or sturdy shoes with grip are mandatory. No city sneakers! * Clothing: Dress warmly in layers. It will be colder in the valley than in Brussels. Gloves and scarves recommended. 📝 HOW TO JOIN * Ensure your Community Membership is active (Link above). * RSVP "Yes" to save your spot. * WhatsApp me +32 483 464 569 if you have a car and are willing to drive (and how many passengers you can take). ⚖️ DISCLAIMER This event is organized by Ujamaa ASBL / Sunday Vacations. Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for February is "Transitions" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
