**Scaling dbt (core) Infrastructure at Lighthouse**
This session will be about creating standardized dbt components (internal dbt package, reusable CICD template, ...) to scale the use of dbt core across an entire organisation with many repositories.
*by [Marthe Van Den Hende](https://www.linkedin.com/in/marthe-van-den-hende-8535971a2/), Data Platform Engineer at [Lighthouse](https://www.mylighthouse.com/)*

**Accelerating Data Engineering with dbt MCP Server**
In this session, Iâll introduce a more experimental approach to data engineering using a dbt MCP server. Weâll explore how this setup enhances developer productivity by enabling smarter workflows, automation, and tighter integration between dbt and external tools.
Iâll share early learnings from real-world usage, including how MCP can streamline model development, improve context awareness, and reduce friction in day-to-day analytics engineering tasks. This session is ideal for those curious about the next evolution of dbt workflows and how emerging tooling can augment traditional SQL-based development.

Afterwork session: Rebirth
Let's play in the "new" Scotland at REBIRTH.
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/417197/rebirth
"*Following a series of calamities that left civilization in shambles, societies around the world are being rebuilt anew in harmony with nature. Scotland lies in ruins and the ancient clans have taken it upon themselves to restore the land. As clan leaders you will compete for strategic control of the land by rebuilding its prestigious castles.*
***Rebirth*** is a new tile-laying game from Reiner Knizia. The game revitalizes this classic genre by combining Kniziaâs elegant mechanics with Mighty Boardsâ evocative world building. The result is a eurogame with smooth gameplay, set in a lush and hopeful future.
Each turn, players draw a tile from their supply and place it strategically on the board. These tiles represent your clanâs contribution to rebuilding the land. ***Rebirth*** rewards strategic foresight and clever tactical play, with tougher decisions emerging over the course of the game."

* Core session (ie. 6x5' - 2' recovery)

We run together during Warm-up, and cool down and tey to regroup during recovery time. Paces are not imposed (everyone runs at his/her own pace) given the intensity suggested.
Notes:
It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the session, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle.
Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. To have an idea, the average pace at the warm up is around 5'45"/km-6'15"/km so this pace should feel very comfortable

From Overwhelm to Ease - an EFT Tapping Workshop
From Overwhelm to Ease - an EFT Tapping Workshop
By Roshanak Zaredoost
Brussels, 13 May 2026
Rgeister Here: https://www.imaginationclub.org/brussels/from_overwhelm_to_ease.php
Living abroad is an adventure - and also quietly exhausting. New country, new language, new identity. Your nervous system is working overtime, even when life looks good on the outside. In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping): a gentle, evidence-based tool that combines acupressure and mindset work to help you release stress, calm anxiety, and reconnect with yourself - wherever in the world you are.
What you'll take away:
\* A practical tapping routine you can use anytime, anywhere - in 5 minutes or less - to bring your nervous system back to calm.
\* A deeper understanding of the stress cycle - why your body reacts the way it does, and how to interrupt it with compassion rather than willpower.
\* Personalised tapping phrases that speak to your specific challenges - loneliness, identity, overwhelm, not fitting in - so the tool actually feels like yours.
\* A sense of being seen and understood - in a room full of people who get it, because they're living it too.
No experience needed - just bring yourself, exactly as you are. You'll leave with a tool for life and a little more peace in your body.
Join us for From "Overwhelm to Ease" and take the first step toward a calmer, freer, more authentic you.
About Roshanak
Born in Iran and living abroad for over 41 years, she has spent a lifetime navigating the beautiful complexity of building a life far from home. That journey - with all its richness, displacement, and reinvention - is at the heart of everything she does as an EFT coach.
Her path to EFT was forged through her own transformation. She has walked through financial dependency, emotional dependency, abusive relationships, overeating, and the quiet suffering of a woman who had lost her voice - and come out the other side. Not by chance, but through deep, committed inner work. EFT was the tool that helped her break free from limiting beliefs one by one, and she has never stopped using it on herself. That ongoing personal practice is the foundation of everything she brings to her clients.
Today, as an EFT coach whose practice is rooted in lived experience, she specialises in guiding women abroad through stress, anxiety, and overwhelm - helping them calm their nervous system, shed what no longer serves them, and step into a life of authenticity and self-love.
Fluent in 6 languages and passionate about human connection, she meets every woman exactly where she is - with compassion, understanding, and the quiet confidence of someone who has been there.
Her greatest joy is watching her clients step into their own freedom - emotionally balanced, self-aware, and unapologetically themselves.

**This compelling fly-on-the-wall study, hilarious and heartbreaking at once, shows poor Mr Gilliamâs visionary project disintegrating like a slow-motion car crash**
[...]
Their compelling fly-on-the-wall study, hilarious and heartbreaking at once, shows poor Mr Gilliamâs visionary project disintegrating like a slow-motion car crash. The double hernia and slipped disc that zonked his lead actor, Jean Rochefort, the flash floods that swept away his camera equipment, the overhead Nato jets which wrecked his soundtrack, the actors who didnât show up, and finally, the implacable money-men who declared that the starâs indisposition was not covered by insurance as it was an Act of God. The Act of a furious Old Testament God with a serious grudge against Terry Gilliam. Perhaps He had seen The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and had decided enough was enough.
Anyway: the filmâs French producer, RenĂŠ Cleitman, elegantly summarises the situation for a gobsmacked audience of crew and investors: âThis shows us the fragility of Jean Rochefort and the fragility of cinema itself.â Nicely put, though this verbal flourish seemed not to impress everyone assembled, who wore the stunned faces of people who were about to not get paid â in a very big way.
Les Blankâs Burden of Dreams has its Fitzcarraldo; Fax Bahr and Eleanor Coppolaâs Hearts of Darkness has its Apocalypse Now. But Lost in La Mancha has zilch. Itâs the ultimate evolutionary form of the movie-madness documentary genre. A footnote to a text that isnât there. A documentary about a legendary film that doesnât exist. A legendary film whose legendariness must reside purely in the documentary, which shows what it can salvage from the dailies, and the on-location footage of producers, directors and crew hollering at each other. It is a pleasingly post-modern twist which Cervantes himself would have enjoyed, having written a book about absurd follies, delusions of grandeur and the deficit between fiction and reality.
And then of course there is Gilliam himself: a Quixotic figure if ever there was one, though shrewdly, Fulton and Pepe donât labour the point. The director is excruciatingly aware of the parallel, being, as he tells us, 61 years old (though a very handsome and rangy 61) and modestly declaring himself not yet to have accomplished enough in his lifetime. The idea of a Quixote movie had already consumed Orson Welles, but why shouldnât Gilliam take it on and slay the dragon of ill-omen? No one mentions the Titanic parallel, an idea thought to be jinxed after Lew Grade produced his awful Raise the Titanic in 1980, yet James Cameron had a multi-Oscar triumph with the old boat 17 years later. Unlike Gilliamâs Quixote, however, Titanic had serious Hollywood cash behind it, and no one involved is in the mood to make a zany indie movie about the scary and unfunny near-catastrophes that attended that project.
What is fascinating about Lost in La Mancha is the psychological phenomenon of denial. Everyone, from Terry Gilliam down to the lumpy, monobrowed extras Gilliam has found to play his giants, are in denial about what is happening. Everyone is determinedly looking the other way. Everyone is pretending that the movie will happen. Yet why shouldnât they? The cast and crew have probably been in precisely this sort of denial for every picture they have ever worked on â and somehow the movies get made, when every tenet of common sense and financial logic declares that they canât, like the principles of aerodynamics that prove that a bumble-bee canât fly. Being in denial is a vital part of maintaining morale, momentum and keeping the financing house of cards upright.

CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers
A year ago, âagentic AIâ was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective.
This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly.
Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
