There's been a bit of demand for a meet-up on the south side of the city so we're going to trial a new location. You'll find us in the main bar. This is a casual meet up for people who want to play boardgames. Lots of people bring plenty of games and rules will always be explained so don't worry if you're new to the hobby and you don't have anything to bring along or think you won't know how to play. Late comers always welcome, you just might have to wait a little for a game to open up. **The meet ups are free of charge but we do ask that people support the bar by buying food and/or drink. The bar is very accommodating to us and it's important that we support them in return. Get over the mid week slump and come down to meet some new faces and relax. We try and go to a different bar every week and you can join us anytime after 18:30. **How to find the group?** \*We have an area reserved just for us so if you are new and unsure please ask any of the bar staff for the area reserved under the organisers name or if completely lost on the night please contact the event host and they'll come and find you. **How does it work?** \*After finding the group either the organiser will approach you and ask if you are looking for the meetup or you can just ask anyone "Is this the meetup?" and normally that is a great conversation opener to join the group. After that it's up to you what you make of the event. That is pretty much it. Easy right? We normally encourage people to stand as it's much easier to mingle that way. **Nervous about coming to the event?** \*While it's quite intimidating meeting a bunch of strangers from the internet we are a very welcoming group. We normally look out for new people and remember that everyone in the group has been new in the group at one point. \*\*Each week we typically have 2-3 spots open to players from this app. This is why you will only see 2-3 attending. The others are regulars and we coordinate in a private WhatsApp group\*\* We play a 6v6 game every Wednesday @ 8:00PM in SportsCo, Dublin 4. The pitch we use is spacious an ideal for 6v6 (ball/all bibs provided). To encourage passing and flowing football, goals can only be scored from inside the penalty area. Games are played in a friendly atmosphere and slide tackles are prohibited. We don't have stick keepers and use a last-man back policy. There is a core group of regular players who have played with us for years but we also invite a handful of pickup players to play from this app. If pickup players like the vibe they might have the option to subscribe on a longer-term basis. This game has been running on the same pitch for over a decade. The games are good quality with good technical players and always played in a nice, competitive atmosphere.

We are a group that plays Pathfinder, a tabletop RPG. We are relaunching the games in Dublin and for that we need new players like you. We will explain the rules to you and help you create your dream character. A weekly board game meet up in "Mc Mahon’s Bar and Eatery" which is a pub. We get our own section, it's wheelchair friendly and parking is free! 🙂 Whether you are new or a veteran player you are all are welcome! General guidelines are: 1. Avoid handing drinks to people OVER a game. 2. We cannot take responsibility in the event of theft so keep your valuables close to you. 3. Strictly over 18+ only. The "rules" would be: 1. The pub owner is really nice and are letting us use the space so if you can - please buy a tea, coffee or a drink on the night to support them if you can but don't feel obligated to do so. Just a note for those coming by car from Dublin: 1. I highly recommend using the motorway then driving into the pub. There's a slightly faster way with the back roads but unless you are from the area its not worth the 2 minutes saved since it's barely lit and the bends are somewhat hazardous. 2. Traffic from 5 - 6:30 is horrendous but the roads are clear enough after this time.
