If you prefer to bring fruit, that’s perfectly fine too! **Fee:** €5 (Covers the meetup fee and shared ingredients) **We’ll Provide:** **Fresh noodle dough (perfectly rested and ready to pull), basic seasonings, and some protein-rich ingredients such as tofu and other bean products.** **Please Note:** The dough will be prepared and pre-rested in advance, as proper resting time is essential for achieving the perfect stretch and texture. Join our **CATAN** Meetup to play, socialize, and enjoy this classic board game. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. Expect fun, friendly games, plenty of laughter, and the chance to make new friends. This is a relaxed, casual meetup: **no hardcore competition**, just friendly rivalry. 👉 **Please RSVP only if you plan to attend.** *** **How to Play (Quick Guide):** * **Setup:** Build the island with hex tiles, place number tokens, roads, settlements, and give each player starting resources. * **Turn order:** On your turn, roll two dice to produce resources, then trade and build. * **Resource production:** Players gain resources (wood, brick, sheep, wheat, ore) from tiles next to their settlements/cities when the tile’s number is rolled. * **Robber:** If a 7 is rolled, players with too many cards discard half; move the robber to block a tile and steal a card. *NOTE: Friendly robber rule: We play with the friendly robber rule, which means that the robber cannot be placed on a player with less than 3 points.* * **Trading:** Trade resources with other players or with the bank (usually 4:1, better with ports). * **Building:** Spend resources to build roads, settlements, cities, or buy development cards. * **Victory points:** Earn points from settlements, cities, development cards, Longest Road, and Largest Army. * **Winning:** The first player to reach 10 victory points on their turn wins. * 2-Hours-Max: If no one reaches 10 points by the end of the second hour, the player with the most points wins. We will have two CATAN sets available for up to six players each, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. 2. Since each game takes a considerable amount of time, arriving after a game has already started may make it difficult to place you at a table. 3. In such cases, you may need to place your first two settlements on the remaining available parts of the map—if space allows. 4. Please make sure to update your RSVP in advance. Failure to do so may cause unnecessary delays for everyone at the start. 5. Not showing up without notice will result in being blacklisted for at least one future meetup. ***

Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.
