String Players

Season 7 of PlayOn American 9ball Pool Leagues at Hurricane Room in Kings Cross will be starting on Monday 8th June! Season 6 had 14 players across 2 Divisions (ranging from beginners / casual to top club players). This is an American 9ball Pool league... and all abilities are welcome, as long as you know the basic rules. If you are interested in joining, just contact me so I can find out a little more about your playing standard, and we'll take it from there! Its pretty straight forward and chilled :) Matches are races to 9 racks. Points are awarded for Wins, Break & Runs, Golden Breaks and Convincing Wins. There will be promotions and relegations for the top and bottom players in each Division, plus trophies for the Division winners. NOTE: By signing up to Season 7, you will need to commit to play once per week for the duration of the league (roughly 6 weeks). Of course if you can't make a week due to unforseen circumstances / holidays etc, then you must be willing to catch up your matches as soon as possible, or you may forfeit the points to your opponent. You can play your match on any day of the week that suits both you and your opponent (**there is no physical meet up on Monday 8th June**). The cost to enter is £25 (my fee for organising the leagues). This needs to be paid before you play your first match. Table fees need to be split between both players: **Discounted League Rate - £10 per hour** Sunday to Wednesday ALL DAY... Thursday to Saturday before 6pm (Otherwise... Join us for some fun, competitive, but friendly games at our 4-court sports hall. We use Yonex Mavis 600 Nylon shuttles during the 2-hour session. **PAYMENT** * **Session Fee: £9** * We are cashless, kindly pay the session fee **by midnight** on the night before the session. This is an inclusive and welcoming meetup. The core of this meetup is to foster a collaborative environment where participants playtest board games and offer constructive feedback to fellow designers. Bringing a design or prototype is not a requirement, this event is for anyone passionate about games—whether they're a designer, developer, playtester, or simply someone who loves engaging with creative ideas. No prior experience is necessary. Location: Exact location within the National Theatre is shared 10-15 mins before the event, depending on the availability of the seating.
