Fun and experienced doubles badminton! We play over four courts each Tuesday, bring your own kit and racket. £9.00per person for 2hrs; quarterly payments should be discussed with Eli is desired. if less than 24 notice is given for a cancellation then the session fee will have to be paid. we need this so other people on the waiting list can attend. We play with plastic shuttle on most courts; feather available as advance request. Important note: Our club is paid for by individuals; as such your attendance and payment is required when making a commitments to play - as a matter of respect, please ensure that you consider this when saying you will attend. We're finally back at Sobell Leisure Centre: \- Tuesdays 7pm\-10pm \- Courts 1a\-1d \(courts 1a\-1c after 9\.20pm\) \- Sobell Leisure Centre\, Tollington Rd\, London N7 7NY\. We are a friendly, competitive club for players at high intermediate to advanced / league standard. Not suitable for beginners or lower intermediates. We are always looking for new competitive players. The club has a regular attendance of around 25 players, and will be participating in the Middlesex league in ladies' doubles, men's doubles and mixed doubles in the 2025/26 season. We play doubles or mixed doubles only, with top quality feather shuttles. Please RSVP if you like to attend, or don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. **Tuesday Badminton Session – 8:00–10:00pm at Queen Mother Sports Centre, Victoria** **Venue** Queen Mother Sports Centre (Everyone Active), 223 Vauxhall Bridge Road, SW1V 1EL It’s a 5‑minute walk from Victoria Station. Full sports hall with 5 courts. **RSVP Required** Everyone attending must RSVP in advance. Members can also confirm by email or text. **Session Fee** £14 per session Includes premium feather shuttles. **Payment** Please pay at the start of the session. First‑timers must pay in cash due to previous no‑shows and non‑payment. All first‑timers must also register on our in‑house MatchMaking app before joining the courts. If you haven’t registered, you won’t be able to start playing. Mobile reception in the hall is poor, so if you are set up to pay by bank transfer, you must pay in advance before attending. If we have to chase payment afterwards, the fee becomes £20. Bank transfer is available from your second session onwards once it’s set up and we confirm your playing level fits the standard of the club. Please only attend if you have RSVP’d on Meetup and are able to pay the session fee on arrival or have already transferred in advance. If payment still isn’t settled, you will be removed from the group and blocked from attending future sessions. You don't need to bring a game - we always love to have new playtesters! For designers: Whether your game is for TWO PLAYERS, a SOLO experience, or a larger game you’d like to test with fewer players, this event is for you. It is where many London based plants and flower suppliers buy their plants to sell. So imagine the bargain plants and accesories you'd find during this planty adventure ;) Come join other plant enthusiasts for a day trip around Battersea Park, Power station, and the newest plant shop by Not Another Jungle. Newbies and seasoned all welcomed. It will be a morning of planty fun. Unshackled will be one of the largest The Prisoners wines tasting in the nation this Thursday, hosted by Stuart, in my absence. The Prisoner Wines have several dozen white and red blended wines using unusual combinations that are very different than traditional blends from Bordeaux or The Rhone regions. ***The Prisoner Red Blend*** is comprised of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Sirah, Syrah, Merlot, and Malbec. ***Saldo***, in the $30 range, has Petite Sirah, Grenache, Syrah, Mataro, Verdelho, and Cabernet Sauvignon. ***The Prisoner Chardonnay*** has, Chardonnay, Viognier and Gewürztraminer. You get the idea: no traditional limits in blending grapes. I will get a table for people to gather. It will be crowded, so be patient with this very popular. Feel free to bring your own food as it is welcomed at this local gem or order from the newly opened Worthington Inn, or local favorites such as Dewey's, Everest, Jet, Worthington Tavern and The Whitney. Each person pays their tasting fee, typically $15, and gets their wine glass, then approximately five pours of the wines being served. **Parking is tough**.
