Coast to Coast: A supper club experience
Welcome to Coast to Coast, a supper that celebrates India's coastlines, the flavours we grew up with, and the joy of sharing them with a table full of people.
Pudina Kitchen and Mahaksh are two friends who love food deeply and differently, and this July, they're coming together to share one table with you. Coast to Coast is an evening that travels India's coastlines, from the sun-soaked west to the soulful east, through a menu built on summer memories, coastal kitchens, and the kind of cooking that doesn't happen in restaurants.
The full menu reveals itself at the table, that's half the fun. What we'll say is: come hungry, come curious, and come ready to be surprised. Please note that this menu includes seafood, kindly specify any allergies or dietary restrictions in the comments when purchasing your ticket.
About Pudina Kitchen
Pudina Kitchen is a Toronto-based food community rooted in Indian cooking, storytelling, and the belief that a shared meal is one of the most honest ways to connect. Founded by Sargam, who grew up cooking for her family as a young immigrant, Pudina Kitchen has always been about more than food, it's about culture, memory, and belonging. From intimate workshops to community dinners, every experience is personal, intentional, and made with a lot of love.
About Mahaksh
Mahaksh started cooking for his family and never really stopped. What began as something simple turned into a genuine passion, for flavour, for hosting, for the particular joy of watching people eat food you made for them with care. He believes there is no greater act than feeding someone well, and that a good meal has the power to make people feel at home anywhere. Now hosting supper clubs in Toronto, Mahaksh brings that same warmth and love to every table he sets.

Tea/Coffee + Evie & Alfie: A Very British Love Story - Toronto Fringe Festival
**Note: I recommend you buy your tickets as soon as possible, as the good shows always sell out in advance.**
**On Saturday, July 4th, see Evie & Alfie: A British Love Story, and Winner Outstanding English Production at the Montreal Fringe 2025.** Meet Evie & Alfieโa retired, quintessentially British coupleโas they potter around their house, drinking tea, bird spotting and reminiscing. From multiple award-winning Fringe legends Alex Dallas (Horseface, Sensible Footwear) and Jimmy Hogg (The Potato King) comes a comedy full of wit, verve and heart. When I googled the top 10 shows to watch at the Toronto Fringe, this is the one I chose. We will start off with a hot beverage at Balzacs prior to heading to the show around the corner.
Alex Dallas is a writer and actor from London, England who has been living and working in Canada for the past 30-years. As a founder member of female comedy troupe, Sensible Footwear, she has toured the world. Her one woman shows, Goddess, and Drama Queen, aired on CBC TV, The W Network, Bravo TV and CBC Radio Jimmy Hogg is a writer, comedian and storyteller from Plymouth, UK, who has made his name on the Fringe circuit over the last 20-years with his high-energy, physical, tangential style. Comparisons to Eddie Izzard, Rik Mayall, John Oliver (and other British people) are frequent if not always accurate or deserved. He has numerous awards and merits and is an 18x BEST OF FRINGE WINNER. **Purchase Evie & Alfie: A British Love Stor*y* on Saturday, July 4th at noon.**

Riverdale Park 5K Run / Walk / Jog
5K every week till the snows come down! Or try to!
We'll meet by the track. I'll be there early to warm up. We will start the 5K exactly at 9:30am. As mentioned in the About Us,
* Using the park track we can all go at our own pace and never really be left behind unless we all finish way ahead of you. :D I think an hour is enough time to dedicate to the run. I'm pretty slow, so you will likely have me around for most of the hour.
* Members are free to leave the run whenever they want.
* Bring your kids, your pets, your partners, etc.
* All encouraged to stick around afterwards and enjoy the park or neighbourhood on your own.
* Let's get stronger, healthier and foster a great community at the same time.
We also welcome runners who are not in our neighbourhood and want to join us spiritually and run from their own neighbourhoods. :-) Imagine how much healthier and communal the world would be if we all stopped for an hour once in a while to run together; re-centring and re-charging together?

Mob Programming at Mofer Coffee
Letโs do some coding together at a cafe! No more working alone in the weekend. Here, we write code together. And I mean together together. Not occupying-the-same-space-but-separate together.
Hereโs how it works: Jennifer brings her mobile app project, tells everyone that it is like Pinterest for recipes and sheโd like to work on the nav bar. Paul and Chloe think Jennifer's project is fascinating, and they join the group. They gather around Jenniferโs laptop and work on the nav bar for 2 hours. Jennifer is the one typing out the code while Paul and Chloe research, brainstorm, and offer suggestions.
If youโre feeling stuck on your own project or need a motivation boost, bring it to mob programming!
Want to learn by watching how others code and solve problems? Join someone elseโs project at this event!
Oh and we love your half-done projects that you are a bit embarrassed to share. Absolutely bring those to the event!
**Discord**:
We use Discord to share screen & code snippets during the event. Also feel free to share your projects here before the event!
https://discord.gg/xwjDdVSw3E
**Event policy**:
* We have 0 tolerance for harassment.
* We donโt allow the projects that are not meant to be shared in public such as school assignments, interview tasks, or trade secrets.
* The goal is to write code. We discourage you from pitching business ideas here, doing code reviews, or spending the whole event on planning what to do.
* Please buy a drink, and tip the barista well.

Vision Loss Support Group: Adjustment to vision loss
This meeting will be a discussion about living your life with vision loss. For some, the incremental or sudden loss of vision is traumatic and hopeless. Our group assures those with vision loss that adjustment is possible and necessary. Through their lived experience, our participants support and encourage all.
You can also join the meeting by Conference Call at (518) 263-8851.
IxDA Chat n Pancakes
You can sleep in on the Sesquicentennial (observed), weโre shifting to the following Friday.
But join the local UX community for a chat and some biscuits to catch up. If you were in CA for Figma Config, tell us all the lines and you can tell me how I can animate an SVG without coding it by hand, and why Iโd even want to.
Thanks to the team at Nationwide of supporting the group.
Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to โpin the blameโ on someone or something. If you donโt find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, donโt know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe youโve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
โข How to โeraseโ the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isnโt always repeating past mistakes.
โข Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
โข Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
โข Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
โข Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
โข What underlies โcorrosive criticismโ or the need to invalidate self or others?
โข How one can stably change oneโs outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
โข Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
โข How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
โข How to enhance oneโs own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or oneโs career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are โstoredโ and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can โeraseโ those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become โtoxicโ personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you wonโt be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
