Italian for beginners (free)
**This event is perfect for beginners looking to learn Italian in a casual and supportive environment. Join us to practice conversation skills, vocabulary, and pronunciation while connecting with others who share a love for the Italian language and culture.**
**Whether you are planning a trip to Italy or simply want to expand your language skills, this Meetup is the perfect place to immerse yourself in all things Italian.**
**Let's learn together and have fun while doing it!**
## 🕒 Agenda of the Event
**1\. Benvenuti & Icebreaker**
* **The Warm-up:** Grab a drink, settle in, and meet your fellow learners.
* **Intro in Italian:** I will provide a simple "cheat sheet" so everyone can introduce themselves in Italian right away, even if it's your very first time!
**2\. Speed Greeting "Mini\-Talks"**
* **Asking & Answering:** We will learn some essential questions (Where are you from? Why are you learning Italian? How are you?...).
* **Rotation:** We’ll practice these in pairs, to build your confidence and help you learn everyone's names.
**3\. Interactive Learning & Games**
* **The "Survival Kit" Challenge:** We’ll play games focused on "Useful Sentences" for travelers—how to order a coffee like a pro, ask for directions, or say "I don't understand!"
* **Pronunciation Focus:** While we play, I’ll share some reading and pronunciation rules.
**4\. Music & Culture**
* **Italian Vibes:** We’ll listen to a short snippet of a famous Italian song and try to spot some of the words we learned.
* **Q&A:** A relaxed moment to ask any questions about Italian culture, travel tips, or tricky grammar.
**5\. Wrap\-up & Socializing**
* Virtual high-fives and info about our next themed meetup!

70% of GoodGym members start as non-runners so if you're new to this kind of thing you will be supported by people who are all on the same journey. 👍

Don't feel like you're fit enough? Our tasks are simple and fun. There are easy jobs as well as more challenging things for those who want a workout! The choice is always yours.
Do I need to bring anything? Gardening gloves are really useful for a lot of GoodGym tasks. And a head torch too if it’s likely to get dark. Please bring some if you can but there’s no requirement 🧤💡🧤

Private Substance Misuse Support Group
This group is a private substance misuse support group, for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship with drugs/alcohol. The group is facilitated by a trained and qualified Janus worker.
This group is designed to offer support, encouragement and to provide a forum, that allows you to make informed choices.
The objective of this group is to liberate you from the labels of addiction, dependency, illness sickness and "disease", replacing them with the more proactive terminology of choice, responsibility, self control and decision making.
Janus does not use the 12 step model. It uses the Janus approach to working with substance use called "The Resonance Factor" http://bit.ly/Resonance_blog
Hopefully you will find these groups informative, innovative and creative.
Before entering this group could you contact CHRISTOPHER ROBIN on 07515663621 to discuss the finer details regarding payment and room number in the venue etc.

COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process.

• Show up and try it out.
• Complete application, etc. later.
Normal process
• Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/).
• Attend orientation in advance.
• At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.
• Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM.
• Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895).
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
