South Melbourne to St Kilda Pier Beach Walk
Join us for a relaxed evening walk along the beach from South Melbourne towards St Kilda Pier.
We’ll follow the waterfront path, with bay views, beach paths, and a social, low-pressure pace. The full AllTrails route is about 7.1 km return, listed as moderate, with minimal elevation. AllTrails also lists it as an out-and-back trail, so we can keep the plan flexible depending on how people are feeling.
You can choose what suits you:
* Shorter option: walk one way towards St Kilda Pier and head off from there. Trams are available nearby.
* Full option: walk back with the group towards South Melbourne.
This is a casual walk, not a fitness challenge. We’ll keep an easy social pace, and you’re welcome to leave early if you prefer the shorter option.

Volleyball Openplay (BB/A) - Advanced (NMCC)
Welcome to Melbourne Volleyball Academy. 🤗
**[[WHAT]]**
This session is specifically for games only (no training). There will be a cap of 18 players, allowing for 3 teams of 6. Games will be played to 15 points, with a cap at 18 points.
These games are intended to be played at a high-intermediate(BB)/advanced(A) level.

**[[WHO]]**
The session is intended for Intermediate players.
Players should be able to:
* Have strong fundamentals for all volleyball techniques
* Serve receive a majority of serves well & serve over the net consistently
* Basic understanding of 5-1, and 6-2 systems (we do not play a pass middle 4-2 system in this session)
* Have an understanding of base defense
* Know all/most volleyball rules
Players that are not of the intermediate(BB)/advanced(A) level will be asked to leave as we want to ensure that all players have an enjoyable time playing.

$14 card payment will be processed on the day via square reader (EFTPOS).
**[[WHEN]]**
The stadium is booked from 7 PM-9 PM weekly, every Monday. However, feel free to come early and stretch as the Community Centre is open earlier.
Last minute dropouts and no shows will have a zero-tolerance policy going forward.
All players are expected to update their RSVP at least 24 hours in advanced if they are unable to attend.
This applies to players on the going list and the waitlist.

Only those on the “going” list are permitted to play. If you are on the waitlist, or not registered at all, you will not be permitted into the gymnasium.
Monday Climb
Hello Climbers!
Just meet at the yellow sign and introduce yourself :) From there we pair up to climb. If we have an odd number of people, we can make a rotating group of 3. There is also a self-belay area if you want to get in more climbing if in a group of 3 or arriving earlier.
If the event you are planning to go to only has one or 2 people on the ‘attending’ list, we encourage organising a climbing partner in advance so you can make sure you have at least one other person there to climb with! Feel free to reach out on the event wall or message a host :)
Meet up will start at 6pm but if you want to start earlier you certainly can, but again you will need to organise a climbing partner in advance.
New climbers are welcome, however your mandatory induction takes about 15/20mins. Harnesses, shoes and chalk bag can be hired also.

🐧Easy Penguins walk and dinner St Kilda via lighthouse and st kilda beach 4 KM
There’s something special about St Kilda at dusk — the way the light softens over the water, the breeze carries a hint of salt, and the shoreline begins to quieten as the day exhales. Join us for an evening that blends good food, gentle movement, and one of Melbourne’s most magical wildlife moments.
**FREE Tickets for the penguin viewing session are released [on their website](https://www.penguins.org.au/attractions/st-kilda/) on Tuesday at 10am and are capped at 150 people.** We will be attending **Session 2 (7pm)** — the session runs for **one hour**.
**WE WILL DO DINNER AND WALK even if we can't get tickets**
## ✨ **A Coastal Evening to Ease Into**
We’ll begin by gathering at the **Village Belle Hotel**, settling in over a relaxed dinner before our walk. Their **$25 parma special** (with chips and salad, including a vegetarian option) makes this an easy, comforting way to connect before we step out into the night air.
## 🌊 **What You’ll See & Experience**
After dinner, we wander toward the marina, where the masts sway gently and the lighthouse stands quietly against the fading sky. The coastline opens beside us — soft waves rolling in, the scent of salt, the glow of the city stretching across the bay.
We follow the curve of **St Kilda Beach**, then slip beneath the palms of **Catani Gardens**, where the evening breeze moves through the leaves like a slow whisper.
From here, it’s a short, easy walk to **St kilda Pier**
**Observation Deck**.
As the sky deepens, the little penguins begin to return from the sea, emerging from the water with their soft calls and familiar waddle. From the new observation decks, we’ll quietly watch the penguins return — tiny silhouettes emerging from the darkening water, shaking off the sea and settling into their rocky homes for the night. It’s a gentle, intimate moment of wildlife on the very edge of the city, where the penguins carry on just as they did before the city expanded
When the penguin viewing session ends — or when our group feels ready — we’ll begin our return journey. Those who drove can follow the loop back toward our meeting point, while anyone using public transport can slip easily toward the nearby tram stop. The walk back is calm and unhurried, the night air soft around us as we make our way home.
