**NEW UPDATE:** Additional members of the cubing community have reached out to me and we all agree, the more cubing the better! I have removed the 12 person limit and we are adding an overflow cube for those also interested in non vintage type cubes! These guest cubes may consist of the following:
\- Alex's Enchantment Cube: [Enchanted to Meet You](https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/enchantedCube)!

If we reach over 12 we will divide up the players between the two cubes with earlier RSVPs getting priority on their choice.
If you have a cube that you are interested in having as a spill over cube please reach out to me and we can coordinate. Thank you!
Come join and casually draft cube! No cost to enter and no cards needed! The store provides promo booster packs and I usually throw in a pack of the most recent standard set to award to the people with the best records at the end of the night. Learn Meditation and Stress Management in MD
Learn to manage stress and achieve self-growth through simple relaxation and Meditation.
Heartfulness Meditation is a simple, modern, methodical approach to meditation. Rather than homing in on your breath or repeating a mantra, you simply focus inward, on your heart, to cultivate inner strength and serenity. Heartfulness meditation is gaining traction in recent years. It focuses on the heart, allowing individuals to connect with themselves on a deeper level, and ultimately achieve peace, relaxation, and clarity. It is a practice that encourages patience, self-compassion, and acceptance, helping cultivate a deeper appreciation for the present moment.
This practice is offered with love and at no cost
VSDC LGBTQ+: Art & Atmosphere
Please join the [Veg Society of DC (VSDC)](http://vsdc.org/) and fellow LGBTQ+ vegans or veg-curious folks to explore the [Smithsonian American Art Museum](https://maps.app.goo.gl/YQAJAkGSUrn5ZzYw7) (SAAM) to see how many [pieces made by queer artists](https://americanart.si.edu/blog/pride-2023-artists) we can find. (Note that the museum is apparently [under renovation](https://americanart.si.edu/exhibition/18th-20th-century-art).) If we happen to move through SAAM quickly, it is connected to the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and there are some [portraits of LGBTQ+ persons](https://npg.si.edu/exhibition/struggle-justice) there as well. Because the museums close at 7pm and we won't have that much time to explore, the event will begin promptly at 5:30pm.
Around 7pm we will make our way to one of the nearby vegan restaurants (at own expense) like HipCityVeg or Pow Pow, depending on how large the group is and what people are feeling like. We'll enjoy the lively evening city atmosphere as we meander to dinner.
Before we head around to look at the art, the host will post a comment about what she is wearing so that latecomers will have an easier time finding the group as we move through the museum(s). She will also attempt to keep the comments updated throughout the evening so folks can find us.
In the event of rain, the museum portion will proceed and the group will decide together whether or not to brave the weather to dine together afterward.
**Where to Meet:** outside of the entrance to the Smithsonian American Art Museum (8th and G Streets, NW)
**Transportation:** The Smithsonian American Art Museum is located at 8th and G Streets NW. It is right by the [Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro stop](https://www.wmata.com/rider-guide/stations/gallery-place.cfm?y=14) on the Green, Red, and Yellow Metro lines.
**When:** May 21 at 5:30pm-7pm at museum and then after 7pm for an optional dinner.
**Cost:** Free (outside of optional dinner)
***About the Group***
*Unless noted otherwise, VSDC's LGBTQ+ events are intended for queer/questioning folks who self-identify as LGBTQ+. The events are meant to serve as a safe space to share community with other self-identified queer or questioning LGBTQ+ vegan or vegan-curious people. However, we appreciate our allies and we plan to host "LGBTQ+ & ALLIES" events approximately quarterly - to welcome non-queer allies into our events in order to share community with our fellow vegans/veg curious VSDC participants. If the event is an "& ALLIES" event, it will be clearly identified as such in the name of the event. Any person who participates in an "& ALLIES" event must be supportive of LGBTQ+ persons, their lifestyle, and their gender expression; unsupportive or combative individuals will be removed from events and banned from future VSDC LGBTQ+ events. Please note that any and all questions related to gender/LGBTQ+ issues that may arise during either LGBTQ+ or LGBTQ+ & ALLIES events must be posed ONLY to event host, Susan, and not be asked of any other meetup participants in order to respect their privacy and promote their personal safety.*

Let’s explore an upscale dining experience that blends West African tradition with modern culinary innovation. We are heading to **Elmina** in Shaw, from Top Chef finalist and Food Network personality Eric Adjepong, known for bringing modern Ghanaian cuisine into a refined dining setting.
**FOOD**: Elmina blends traditional West African flavors with modern technique, with a menu that highlights depth, spice, and layered composition. Dishes frequently called out include the jollof duck pot and egusi stew dumplings, both reworking classic Ghanaian staples into more refined presentations. You will also find grilled meats with suya-style seasoning, seafood dishes with balanced heat and acidity, and rotating plates that reflect regional influences.
The menu leans bold and savory, with options across meat, seafood, and some vegetarian-friendly selections. Cocktails often incorporate tropical and spice-forward elements that align closely with the cuisine.
Most members should expect total spend to land roughly in the 55 to 85 dollar range, depending on beverage participation.
→ **Explore Elmina's menu:**

**SPACE**: Stylish, modern dining room with a warm, intimate layout. Expect a lively but controlled atmosphere with moderate noise levels, especially on a Sunday evening.

COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above.
There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change.
The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/).
Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers.
For questions, comment on this page or contact: Andrew, awhit12@yahoo.com, (614)937-5802 (cell). Please let Andrew know if you volunteer anytime other than our COUNT events so that he can count your hours toward our service record.

After the final round, mutual match details are distributed — with no one-sided reach-outs ever happening — and you take over from there entirely.

**⚠️ Your seat is not locked yet:** Rsvping here does not hold your place in the event, so follow the link for your age group, sign up, and complete the personality matching questionnaire — numbers are intentionally limited so register early, and your place is confirmed only once you have done both.
---
**This is for you if:**
- Daters living in Fort Wayne wanting to escape dating apps that go nowhere and are ready for something that feels natural.
- Anyone across Fort Wayne wanting to escape swiping left and right with no results and prefer meeting people in person first.
- Daters across Fort Wayne who no longer want endless scrolling and zero real dates and are ready for something genuine instead.
- First-timers in the Fort Wayne area wanting to escape endless scrolling and zero real dates and want actual face-to-face conversation.
**How it works**
1. **Find your age group** – by using the link for your bracket above, then take the personality survey, as without this your RSVP holds nothing.
2. **Jump on Zoom** – by clicking into the session at the scheduled start, works anywhere with a camera and internet, and a friendly host manages everything once you are on.
3. **Enjoy the rounds** – private video rounds with Fort Wayne area singles in your age range, with a host keeping rounds moving at a comfortable pace, because no round here is random — everyone was selected.
4. **Receive match results** – after the event you will receive any mutual match details, and only confirmed mutual matches receive each other's contact details, and you follow up at your own speed from there.
